Chapter 25 Where did Yueyue go?
Tang Yue smiled. From the moment the gunshots rang out, she knew someone would come up. With her current strength, she had no way of controlling the sound within the formation, so the gunshots would definitely reach the village below.
She knew her parents would be worried, so she moved quickly. However, she had set up eight formations. Once inside, the spies hid behind rocks. Finding these people didn't take much effort, but once inside the formation, the space became larger, so killing them still took some time.
Tang Yue could tell that Grandpa Li and Grandpa Qian were running in the front. Far behind them, she could hear her mother supporting her father as they climbed up. She was relieved not to hear her three brothers coming out.
In such a short time, Tang Yue's consumption was really great. There was no other way. The original owner's body was quite weak to begin with. She had only used it for a few days, and she was really satisfied to achieve this result today.
She slowly moved one of the stones in the formation, and the body of the spy in the formation immediately appeared on the rocky beach.
Tang Yue originally wanted to touch the corpse herself, but she was too tired, and her hands and feet were sore. Or maybe her previous foundation was too weak, and her newly repaired body didn't have that much flexibility.
Using the last bit of her strength to move the last stone, she collapsed on the rotten gravel beach. A moment later, Qian Dazhi and Old Li climbed to the rotten gravel beach, panting and holding their hunting rifles.
Seeing the little girl lying on the ground unharmed and smiling at them, the two men sat back on the ground, gasping for breath.
More than an hour ago, Lin Cuicui hadn't wanted to sleep, but somehow she fell asleep. When she opened her eyes, she found her daughter wasn't on the kang. She was startled and hurriedly shook Tang Shengkai awake.
Tang Shengkai was confused. He was still feeling weak and had been prepared to stay awake all night, but he fell asleep unexpectedly at some point.
"Boss, Yueyue, Yueyue is missing."
The sound from this room woke up Qian Dazhi and Old Li in the west room. They quickly got up and went to the door of the east room.
"Third brother, what's wrong?"
Tang Shengkai hurriedly said, "Uncle Qian, Uncle Li, come in quickly, Yueyue is missing."
The two were startled by the sound and hurriedly lifted the curtain to enter the room. Sure enough, they saw that only Lin Cuicui and Tang Shengkai were on the kang.
Lin Cuicui was so anxious that she didn't know what to do. She got off the kang and walked around in circles on the ground.
Old Li's face darkened. He thought for a moment, "It stands to reason that Old Qian and I didn't sleep well. If someone came, they would definitely hear something..."
Old Li didn't say anything else. He wasn't sleeping soundly, but if Yueyue had walked out of the room on her own, he would have heard it. So when did this person leave?
Tang Shengkai seemed to have thought of something, and a look of fear flashed across his face. "Oh no, it must be the spies coming."
After saying that, he was about to get off the kang with his injured leg, but Old Li stretched out his hand to stop him. "Don't let your imagination run wild. Old Qian and I will go for a walk outside the yard first. If there is anything else, you can come out."
Tang Shengkai couldn't wait any longer. That was his beloved little girl. Yueyue had some abilities that others didn't know about, but his family knew about them. However, the child was still young. If the spies came in large numbers, Yueyue wouldn't be able to defeat them. Wouldn't his daughter be in danger?
"No, Uncle Li, I have to go out and look for her. Yue'er is still young, and we don't know where the spies are hiding. She's in too much danger, and I'm worried."
After saying that, he didn't care what Old Li and Qian Dazhi thought, and directly took out two shiny pistols from the quilt. Qian Dazhi and Old Li were stunned when they saw it. When did the third brother get such a good thing?
Tang Shengkai originally wanted to hand the gun to Old Li or Qian Dazhi, but after thinking about it, he realized that neither of them was good enough at shooting. Although his legs were not very useful, he could still shoot accurately with both hands.
"Uncle Li, Uncle Qian, I'm more accurate, so I'll use these two pistols first."
Old Li and Qian Da had no intention of competing with Tang Shengkai for the gun, so they nodded. Since the third brother was sure that the spies had come, they could no longer stay in the house.
"Third brother, take care of yourself."
After Old Li finished speaking, Qian Dazhi and Old Li went out of the yard together and checked the back from the east and west directions respectively.
Lin Cuicui was already frightened to the point of being paralyzed, but because she had been mentally prepared, even though she was panicking, she still knew what to do at the moment.
He took out the prepared kitchen knife from under the pillow and said, "Boss, please take good care of the children near the house. I'll go out and take a look."
Tang Shengkai grabbed Lin Cuicui's sleeve and said, "Cuicui, come with me. I'm worried about you being alone."
Lin Cuicui's face was full of tenacity. "Third brother, I'm not afraid. I don't know where Yueyue has gone. I'm worried. I have to go out and look for her."
Tang Shengkai held onto Lin Cuicui's hand tightly, "Cuicui, you have to trust our daughter. If she dares to go out on her own, she must have a plan in mind. If you go alone and run into spies, won't you hinder her?"
Lin Cuicui was so anxious that she almost cried, and her voice was filled with tears. "No, Third Brother, I'm worried. I'm really too worried. What if Yueyue gets hurt? What should I do?"
Tang Shengkai increased the strength of his hands, "Cui Cui, calm down. We are your parents. Think about how young our Yueyue is. If she dares, why should we not dare? If we see the devils, just kill them."
Lin Cuicui shed tears as she looked at Tang Shengkai and nodded continuously.
"Yeah, Third Brother, I know, I know."
"Come on, let's go out together."
Before Tang Shengkai could take a step forward, gunshots suddenly rang out from the top of the North Mountain.
Tang Shengkai's face changed, and he looked at Lin Cuicui. The two of them quickened their pace and ran towards Beishan.
Old Li and Qian Dazhi didn't find anything unusual around Tang San's house. They thought the spies might not have arrived yet, so where did Yueyue go? As they were thinking, they heard the sound of gunshots from Beishan.
Without hesitation, the two men began running towards the direction of the gunshot.
They also forgot that there were still three Tangbei brothers in the west room. Tangbei and his companions were awakened by the gunshots from Beishan. Tangnan sat up and saw that only three of them were left on the kang. He did not panic, but picked up a small hoe and
"Brother, Dongzi, the spies must be here. Let's go and fight them."
As he was about to get off the kang, Tang Bei and Tang Dong each grabbed one of his arms, "Don't be impulsive. Mom and Dad and Grandpa Qian and Grandpa Li should have already gone. Have you forgotten what Mom told us tonight?"
Tang Nan tried hard to break free from the two brothers' hands, but failed. "The spies are coming. We have to fight them."
Tang Dong's face was gloomy. "Second brother, which spy can you kill? Going there will only cause more trouble. You'd better listen to mom and hide quickly."
Tang Nan didn't want to listen, but he knew that what his eldest brother and third brother said made sense. His strength to break free weakened, but he still didn't stop.
Tang Bei was a little angry.
"Ernan, why don't you listen?"
"I want to go to that room to see my sister. If my parents are out and my sister is alone in that room, I..."
Tang Bei and Tang Dong looked at each other and said, "Second brother, my sister should have gone out."
"What? Why can my sister go out? We can't?"
Tang Bei and Tang Dong were silent. Why? Because their sister was more capable than them. She was so young, yet she could kill two spies. But the three of them combined weren't as powerful as her sister alone.
"Ernan, stop messing around. We don't have the skills yet. Let's hide away and learn how to draw Qi into our bodies. Only when we are strong and capable can we protect our sister."
Tang Nan seemed to have just remembered Tang Yue's words and felt a little frustrated, but he had no other choice now. He stood up and pulled Tang Bei and Tang Dong to hide in the corner that Lin Cuicui had arranged in advance.
The crackling sound of gunfire continued on the mountain. The children hid on the kang, worried but helpless. They could only silently follow the method their sister had taught them to draw Qi into their bodies and began to practice.
Gradually, noises began to spread from the village, and every household came out to investigate. However, no one dared to run up the mountain. From the sound of gunfire, it was clear that there were many Japanese soldiers coming. They had nothing, so no one dared to go up.
After resting for a few minutes, Tang Yue felt she had regained some strength. She stood up and said, "Grandpa Li, Grandpa Qian, I'd like to ask for your help."
"What's the matter? Little girl, tell me."
Qian Dazhi often went up the mountain, and his physical condition was better than Old Li's. He was able to catch his breath after a few breaths.
Tang Yue looked at the spy's body on the rocky beach with a smile. Qian Dazhi had done it once before, and now he looked at Tang Yue speechlessly.
Old Li grabbed Tang Dazhi and said, "What are you standing there for? What's going on?"
