Chapter 313: The Perseverance of Chinese Fishermen

Chapter 313: The Perseverance of Chinese Fishermen

313

Tang Yue and his fishing boat were already nearby, and Tang Yue had already seen the thick smoke rising from the distance. Gu Yanxi didn't find Tang Yue in the cabin, so he went out on deck to take a look.

As soon as he came out, he noticed the thick smoke rising from the sea in the distance. His expression became serious. "There's an accident in the sea over there. Let's go take a look."

Tang Yue's consciousness had long been released. Seeing the situation over there, she went to the operation room with a serious face, and then their ship rushed out like a sword.

At this time, the Chinese fishermen had to fight against the Japanese while also trying to spare some men to put out the fire. However, no matter how hard they tried, the ship still slowly sank.

But they didn't give up, still trying to find a way to pull the people on the fishing boat aboard. The Japanese fishermen were now even more proud, directing most of their firepower towards the boats and people near the sunken ship. Their faces were filled with grim smiles.

The Chinese fishermen were gradually losing ground. Several Chinese fishing boats had been hit, their hulls riddled with small holes, and they were already showing signs of sinking. The fishermen's faces were stained with smoke and blood, but their eyes still revealed a resolute and unyielding spirit.

"We can't go on like this! The boat is about to sink." A Chinese fisherman shouted anxiously, his voice trembling slightly.

"Then what should we do? Just give up like this? That's unacceptable!" another fisherman responded, his eyes blazing with anger.

But the situation now is that they may really not be able to hold on. Just when everyone felt desperate, the young fisherman who had just taken the lead suddenly stood up, his eyes revealing determination and resoluteness.

"We can't give up. This sea area belongs to our China. We must defend it even if we die!" he shouted.

"But our guns can't hit them at all." Someone stated the fact weakly.

"We still have fishing boats, and our fishing boats are also weapons. Since our guns are useless, we will use our fishing boats to sink all their boats!" The young fisherman's words stunned everyone.

After a brief silence, Chinese fishermen responded one after another.

"Yes, fight them and ram them with the fishing boat!"

"Even if we die, we will let these damn Japs be buried with us! Fight for China!" he said, raising his fist.

"Fight for China!" The fishermen's oath-like voices echoed on the sea, both tragic and heroic.

A Chinese fishing boat took the lead, braving the Japanese artillery fire and charging towards a Japanese fishing boat like an angry bull. The bow of the boat was raised high, stirring up layers of waves, and the hull was shaking violently, as if it would fall apart at any moment.

But the fishermen on the boat were not afraid at all. They held the rudder tightly and stared firmly at the target ahead.

"Charge!" the young man shouted at the top of his lungs.

With a loud bang, the Chinese fishing boat slammed into the Japanese fishing boat. The two ships collided, making a heart-pounding sound, and both hulls shook violently.

The Japanese fishermen did not expect the Chinese fishermen to be so brave and actually dare to risk their lives with their fishing boats. Their boats were hit and tilted, and the fishermen on the boats fell to the ground one after another, screaming in fear.

The fishermen on the Chinese fishing boats were not having an easy time either, especially since their boats were not as good as others'.

The huge impact threw them out, some hit the side of the ship, and some fell on the deck, their blood soaking the salty and wet deck. But they ignored the pain and quickly got up, ready to retreat again and launch another attack.

At the same time, several other Chinese fishing boats also launched an attack. They rushed towards the Japanese fishing boats from different directions, like angry petrels, bravely rushing towards the storm.

The Japanese fishermen were frightened by the sudden attack. They never expected that the Chinese fishermen would be so brave and fearless and willing to sacrifice their lives to defend this sea area.

They didn't want to risk their lives with the Chinese fishermen. They planned to retreat quickly and attack them again when they were at a suitable distance. However, their boat was already surrounded by Chinese fishing boats.

The Chinese fishing boats showed no sign of retreating, and instead continued to ram their hulls after the first collision. The Japanese fishing boats' gunfire couldn't be aimed at such close range, and their guns were difficult to hold under the repeated collisions.

The Chinese fishermen also paid a heavy price. Many of their fishing boats were severely damaged after the collision and could no longer sail. Furthermore, there were signs of shipwrecks.

Some fishermen were injured, others were hit by gunfire or artillery fire, and had large burns on their bodies, but they still persevered tenaciously. They supported and encouraged each other and faced this brutal battle together.

"We can't lose, we must defend our waters!" an injured Chinese fisherman shouted loudly. His voice was weak but full of power.

Tang Yue and Gu Yanxi's boats approached quickly. The Chinese fishing boats that were about to sink were inexplicably lifted up by something, and the Chinese fishermen looked at each other in bewilderment.

Tang Yue had known for a long time that a Chinese fishing boat had sunk and was out of sight, but the distance was too far and Tang Yue was unable to do anything.

At this time, she discovered the location and pulled her spiritual power directly towards the ship under the sea. After a while, the sunken ship slowly emerged.

People from both sides stared at the scene in front of them in a daze, some of them confused as to what was going on. Especially the Japanese, they wanted to roar to the sky, what the hell was going on?

How come the ship, which they had sunk with so much effort, suddenly floated again? Is this normal?

Tang Yue stood at the bow, the sea breeze gently ruffling her hair. Her eyes were expressionless, but she understood the situation. With a casual wave of her hand, the Japanese fishing boats began to tremble violently on the sea, as if struck by something heavy.

Before they could figure out what was going on, several Japanese fishing boats were rammed into each other by a huge force. The "bang bang" sound of the collision was particularly harsh, and wailing screams resounded through the sky.

No matter how advanced the Japanese fishing boats were, they could not withstand such violent shaking and collisions, and most of the fishing boats sank in a short while.

"Ah! Baga, the boat is going to sink, wuwu, help!"

"Oh, help! Help! The boat is sinking!"

The Japanese, disregarding their image, reached out to the Chinese, seemingly hoping for their help. The Chinese fishermen had no idea what was happening. What was going on? Was it a manifestation of Mazu?

Why else would their sunken ships suddenly float again? Why would the Japanese ships inexplicably start colliding with each other?

The Chinese looked at the Japanese people's cries for help coldly and remained indifferent. If it weren't for Mazu, the Japanese would have suffered the same fate as they did now.

"Ah! Please save us? Please!" A Japanese fisherman cried and begged for help from the Chinese fishermen. Seeing that there was no response from the Chinese side, his sanity collapsed instantly.

"Ahhh! Damn Chinese, you deserve to die, you all deserve to die. I curse you,..."

Before he could finish his words, his voice suddenly stopped and he fell directly into the sea.

After a while, the sea slowly returned to calm. The Chinese fishermen looked at each other, then, regardless of their disgrace, they knelt on the deck and loudly thanked Mazu.

Tang Yue had been in the South Island for a while and knew that some fishermen near the sea were very devoted to Mazu, but she was still shocked when she actually saw it. Gu Yanxi and the other Chinese people on the boat also watched this scene quietly.

After bowing to Mazu, the fishermen helped each other up. The boat was in tatters and there was no fish to catch. They prepared to bandage each other's wounds first, then clean up and go home.

The young man who led the group was shot in the arm. He held his right arm with his left hand to direct all the fishermen. Everyone's anxious hearts gradually calmed down.

Gu Yanxi stood on the deck, watching the young man arrange things, with admiration in his eyes. After all the fishermen had taken action, Gu Yanxi called out to the young man, "Hey! Do you need help retrieving the bullets?"

The young man didn't expect someone to call him. He turned around in surprise and saw a handsome and elegant young man standing on an intact boat and shouting at him.

He was sure that he didn't know the other person, but it was very common to greet each other at sea. He was about to reply to Gu Yanxi but his eyes fixed, and then a cold light flashed in his eyes.

Author's Note: Yesterday, I read a great author's writing experience, which gave me a lot of insights. First and foremost, I have to be responsible for my work. So, I'll be refining the previous chapters in the near future. If you have any questions, or if you think there's something wrong with my writing, please feel free to speak up.

Although the current performance of this book isn't great, I will continue to write with all my heart. I suppose writing isn't as easy as eating or drinking, but I have a sincere heart and am willing to devote myself to it, to cultivate it deeply. I look forward to seeing the flowers bloom! Keep going!
