Chapter 39 The Killing Agent

Chapter 39 The Killing Agent

39

As the sun sets, the last bit of light is scattered on the rocky beach. Dongshanjun's figure looks particularly lonely in the afterglow of the sunset, as if he does not belong to this world.

The pork leg on the grill was already golden brown, the fat dripping onto the fire, making a sizzling sound and filling the air with fragrance. Tang Yue approached silently, her footsteps as light as a civet cat, not startling anyone.

A smug smile appeared on Dongshan Jun's face. He enjoyed this moment of tranquility, as if this desolate rocky beach had become his own world. He even began to imagine how he would enjoy the glory that belonged to a warrior after completing his mission.

However, he didn't notice that a small figure had already stood behind him. Tang Yue's eyes were as cold as a knife. Her hand tightly gripped the pistol, her fingertips slightly white from the pressure. She knew that this man, like the spies who constantly harassed her family, was an enemy.

Dongshan Jun seemed to sense something. He suddenly turned around, the dagger in his hand flashing with a cold light, pointing directly at Tang Yue's throat. However, his quick movement had misjudged Tang Yue's height. The dagger passed directly over Tang Yue's head.

Dongshan Jun moved very quickly. When he wanted to bend down and continue after his first attack failed, Tang Yue was not slow either. Her pistol was already against Dongshan Jun's forehead.

"Don't move." Tang Yue's voice was cold and emotionless. This was what Tang Yue thought, but the cold and soft voice sounded like a curse to Dong Shanjun's ears.

Dongshan Jun's pupils suddenly shrank, and an unprecedented fear surged in his heart. He had never imagined that this seemingly fragile little girl could possess such a fierce murderous aura.

"Who are you?" Dongshan Jun's voice trembled a little.

Tang Yue didn't answer, a hint of murderous intent flashing in her eyes. She didn't need to answer, because she knew that this man would soon become a thing of the past.

"Wait!" Dongshan Jun's voice was urgent. "I can give you a lot of money as long as you let me go. After all, we don't have any hatred, right?"

Tang Yue sneered. It turned out that this spy could speak Chinese, but that didn't matter anymore. She clearly felt that these spies were much more skilled than the previous ones.

Her finger slowly pulled the trigger: "You spies, do you think money can buy everything?"

"No, no, you don't understand." There was a hint of despair in Dongshan Jun's voice. "I can tell you many secrets, about your..."

Before he could finish his words, Tang Yue had already pulled the trigger. A single gunshot shattered the silence of the night. Dong Shanjun's body fell limply, his eyes wide open, as if he couldn't believe he was dead.

Tang Yue didn't even glance at his body. She knew there were two more spies waiting for her down below. Her figure disappeared into the night again, like a ghost.

At the foot of the cliff, Oda-kun and Tano-kun exchanged a glance. They could both hear the gunshot, and a sense of foreboding welled up in their hearts.

"Dongshan-kun!" There was a hint of anxiety in Oda-kun's voice.

There was no answer, only the sound of the howling night wind.

"Let's go up." Tian Yejun's voice was calm and firm.

Oda-kun thought that if they went up now, they might be shot on the cliff. But the enemy was on the cliff, and they couldn't get out of here unless they killed her.

Especially since the Chinese people have always been united, if they are trapped here, the Chinese army will soon arrive. At that time, they will really be finished. Now there is still a chance to fight.

Not to mention the wolves were coming right before their eyes. If they didn't leave, they would be attacked from both sides.

The two men quickly climbed up the cliff. Their movements were swift and agile, their body movements were strange, and they rarely stayed in any one place for more than a second. They were obviously well-trained spies.

However, the men they encountered were no ordinary soldiers. Tang Yue, crouching on the clifftop, scanned the two spies with her awareness. She noticed that one of them was exceptionally agile, perhaps having already dodged when her gun went off.

Tang Yue pointed the gun at Xiao Tianjun. After predicting his location several times, she fired when he was about to land at the next location. Xiao Tianjun had no time to dodge. The bullet entered directly from his left temple and came out from the right. Xiao Tianjun's body fell towards the mountain stream in a big letter shape.

The wolves have arrived at the bottom of the mountain stream. They are very happy recently. From time to time, the bipeds feed them food. In this winter, nothing has happened that makes the wolves happier than this.

Tang Yue was not too happy after killing one of them, because she found that the man named Tian Yejun had quickly distanced himself from her when he heard the gunshot.

Although Tang Yue didn't know the specific range of the gun, looking at Tian Yejun's body movements and speed, she knew that she could no longer kill him with one shot from this position.

Just as Tang Yue was observing the terrain, Tian Yejun had already climbed up quickly.

However, when he reached the rocky beach, he saw only Dongshan Jun's body.

"Dongshan-kun!" Tianye-kun's voice was low and contained a hint of sadness.

His face was gloomy and his eyes scanned around, trying to find the trace of the person who killed Dongshan Jun and just killed Oda Jun.

He had to avenge them. After all, both Toyama-kun and Oda-kun were extraordinary, and their deaths had become a burden to him. Even if this mission succeeded, he would still have to endure a long period of scrutiny.

Tian Yejun was very angry.

"Come out!" His voice was low and threatening.

Although he was very angry, he remained vigilant, fearing that he would fall into the killer's trap by accident.

However, it was too late. Tang Yue appeared behind him like a ghost, her pistol pointed at his back.

"Don't move." Her voice was cold, like a call from hell.

Tian Yejun paused and his face turned pale instantly, but how could he listen to Tang Yue?

Tian Yejun flashed and quickly avoided Tang Yue's pistol, then pointed the pistol in his hand at Tang Yue.

When he saw the little person in front of him clearly, a look of shock flashed across Tian Yejun's eyes.

"You killed Toyama-kun and Oda-kun?"

Tian Yejun was clearly still a little incredulous. This child looked no older than four. How ironic was it that the warriors of his great empire had died at the hands of a girl who was less than four years old?

"Haha! Not only them, but also you!"

Tian Yejun didn't treat Tang Yue with contempt, but he still wanted to know who she was. If nothing else, he already felt a strong threat from Tang Yue.

Tian Yejun had a premonition that he might not be able to walk down the mountain today.

"Who are you?" There was a tremor in Tian Yejun's voice.

Tang Yue sneered: "I am the nightmare of you spies."

"You?" Xiao Tianjun's eyes flashed with doubt, "Are you Tang Shengkai's daughter?"

A hint of surprise flashed in Tang Yue's eyes. She didn't expect that these spies actually knew her identity.

"You spies have done your homework really seriously. However, since you know who I am, I can't let you leave alive." There was a hint of determination in Tang Yue's voice.

She pulled the trigger again, a gunshot rang out, and Tang Yue's figure disappeared instantly. As Tang Yue pulled the trigger, Tian Yejun also fired. Then, Tian Yejun dodged to the left, quickly avoiding Tang Yue's bullet.

Just as he stood still and prepared to shoot at Tang Yue again, his pupils shrank. He couldn't find Tang Yue.

Just as he turned his head, he saw a flash of cold light out of the corner of his eye, then he felt a chill across his neck, and then he seemed unable to breathe.

Tang Yue was already standing in front of him, her back to him. Tian Yejun struggled to raise his hand, aiming the gun at Tang Yue again, but the gun slipped from his hand mid-air. He then fell backward, his eyes filled with resentment.

Tang Yue took a deep breath and ignored the spy's body. The gunshots would attract the villagers up the mountain again.

Didn't the people of Qiligou want her father to join the army? They thought he wasn't productive. Now they'd have to see. If Tang Shengkai stayed in the village, they'd have to get used to the sound of gunfire.

Her eyes fell on the black boxes again, and curiosity surged in her heart. How much money was in these boxes this time?

Tang Yue wanted these spies to come more often, as if they knew their family was short of money and would give them money every time they came. The day of sudden wealth was just around the corner. Tang Yue didn't feel embarrassed at all.

Hearing footsteps halfway up the mountain and the sky gradually getting dark, Tang Yue placed the three black boxes into the formation that had been set up last time, then took down the roasted pork leg, extinguished the fire, and went down the mountain from the other side.
