Chapter 485 Killing Blake
485
Chang Yin and Tang Shengkai waited for another half an hour at the place they had agreed to meet. During this time, patrol teams kept passing by, making it extremely dangerous for them to stay there. Chang Yin looked at the time on his watch and finally sighed.
"Something must have happened to Lao Fei."
Tang Shengkai also felt the same way, but they didn't want to believe it was true. The two of them hadn't figured out the base yet, and if something happened to Lao Fei, they would likely be exposed immediately.
Chang Yin narrowed his eyes slightly, "Now go and deal with Blake and everyone in the team."
Tang Shengkai understood what Chang Yin meant. "But when we got here, except for the members of Team Black, the others who came here with us have been assigned to different places. How can we find them?"
Tang Shengkai hadn't said anything else. These American soldiers looked really similar. They were not familiar with each other. Now he was asked to deal with them. To be honest, he might not even remember what they looked like.
This was the difference between someone who had completed a classified mission and an ordinary soldier. Even if Chang Yin didn't know the name of someone he had met, he would never forget their face after seeing them once, regardless of international circumstances.
Chang Yinmei refuted Tang Shengkai's words, "Let's get rid of the members of Team Blake first. They are the ones who are most familiar with us and are the ones who can best identify Lao Fei. Others may see all Asian faces the same and may not be able to recognize Lao Fei."
Tang Shengkai......
It seems that he is not the only one who has this problem.
"The seventeen members of Team Black are spread out, acting on the spot. Every time we take down a person, we'll throw a rock into the ventilation duct as a signal."
Tang Shengkai nodded, and the two immediately separated. The night was as dark as ink, and Chang Yin and Tang Shengkai's first hunting operation at Base No. 5 was about to begin.
The searchlight's beam swept across the base like a ghost's arm. Chang Yin and Tang Shengkai pressed themselves against the cold metal wall, their breathing subdued.
Chang Yin took out a small metal whistle from his pocket. He found it on the body of an American soldier. It could imitate the alarm sounds of various equipment in the base.
He whispered to Tang Shengkai, "Their teams are scattered across different areas. We need to find a way to lure them out individually. You go west, and I'll go east. Don't forget, place a stone in the ventilation duct every time you take down one."
Chang Yin was not worried about Tang Shengkai's ability. With their current strength, even if one was against a hundred, they could handle it without using any weapons.
The problem is that this is the age of hot weapons. No matter how powerful they are, they are still mortal. Tang Shengkai nodded and quietly disappeared into the darkness.
He walked along the narrow alley, his ears always alert to the movements around him. Turning a corner, he saw a figure dozing against the wall, the familiar Black Squad logo on the uniform faintly visible in the dim light.
Tang Shengkai narrowed his eyes. What a coincidence! He ran into someone so soon. Furthermore, this guy was quite unlucky, arriving on his first day and already on duty. But that was good news; it saved him the trouble of looking for someone.
Tang Shengkai slowly pulled out the dagger from his boot and approached in the shadows.
With only three steps left, Tang Shengkai suddenly exerted force, stabbing the man's neck with his dagger. The man didn't even have time to utter a grunt before his body collapsed to the ground. Tang Shengkai quickly dragged the body into a nearby utility room, then picked up a stone and stuffed it into the ventilation duct.
Elsewhere, Chang Yin also spotted a target in the eastern area. A soldier from Team Black was checking equipment. Chang Yin observed him for a while and noticed that he would go to the tool cabinet next to him to get tools every few minutes.
Chang Yin had an idea and quietly went behind the tool cabinet, clenched his fists and waited for the opportunity.
When the soldier approached the tool cabinet, Chang Yin rushed out like lightning, his arm strangled the soldier's neck like an iron clamp, and his other hand covered his mouth tightly.
He exerted force on his waist and twisted it violently. With a crisp "crack," the soldier's head drooped limply. Chang Yin quickly hid the body and placed a stone in the ventilation duct.
In this way, the two of them moved through the base like ghosts, taking out the members of Black's team one by one. The ventilation ducts became increasingly filled with rocks, but they still couldn't find any trace of Black.
When Chang Yin and Tang Shengkai reunited, both had a hint of fatigue on their faces. They hadn't had a good rest in a long time. They had been extremely nervous these past few days, especially since they had been so stressed out. Tonight was even more so.
"This Blake is like a slippery loach, hiding really deep." Tang Shengkai whispered. Tang Shengkai had already searched the walkable area twice, but there was no sign of Blake.
Chang Yin pondered for a moment and said, "He is the captain. Moreover, when we first arrived, we saw that Blake was familiar with some of the people here. Maybe he went to look for familiar comrades."
Tang Shengkai leaned against the wall and closed his eyes to rest. "The defense here is so tight, we haven't been able to find him. It seems that his comrades must have a high rank."
Chang Yin had the same idea. After all, there were certain areas that soldiers like them couldn't enter without orders. "Keep looking. Blake is the most dangerous one."
"I really don't know where he can go." Tang Shengkai sighed slightly.
Chang Yin's mind raced. Blake seemed to be targeting them. But why did he have such a strong prejudice against them? He didn't seem to care much about other Asians.
A gear pattern vaguely popped up in Chang Yin's mind, and he wasn't sure where he had seen it before. As for why he suddenly thought of this, he suddenly remembered that when he was cleaning up a soldier's body, he found a badge engraved with the same gear in his pocket.
Chang Yin's heart was beating fast. He wasn't sure what Blake's identity was. But now wasn't the best time. He spoke anxiously. "It's the fuel depot in the northwest corner of the base!"
Chang Yin pointed to a giant building in the distance and said, "A large amount of explosive fuel is stored there. If it explodes, the entire base will be destroyed. Blake must be planning something crazy."
Chang Yin had certainly considered going there before, or else he wouldn't have remembered it so clearly. However, Blake absolutely couldn't interfere with his plans. Destroying Base 5 was one thing, but he also wanted to steal some valuable US military data from there.
Chang Yin didn't want to be burned to death before he succeeded. The two approached the fuel depot cautiously, the pungent smell of gasoline hitting them in the face.
The warehouse door was locked, but the sound of metal clashing could still be heard from inside. Chang Yin signaled Tang Shengkai to attack from the side door, while he held his breath, broke the lock with one hand, and slowly pushed the door open.
The warehouse was filled with fuel barrels more than a meter tall. Moonlight streamed through the broken roof, casting mottled shadows on the ground.
"Blake! Come out!" Chang Yin shouted, his voice echoing in the empty warehouse. He shouted because he didn't feel the breathing of the third person.
A sneer rang out from the darkness, and Blake appeared, holding a flamethrower, with orange-red flames dancing at the nozzle. "Haha, it's you! I knew you yellow-skinned pigs were no good. My feeling is never wrong. But you can't leave today!"
As he spoke, he pulled the trigger, and a tongue of blazing fire swept towards Chang Yin.
Chang Yin rolled on the ground, avoiding the flames, and swung the dagger in his hand. The dagger flew past Blake's shoulder and hit the fuel barrel beside him.
Blake laughed wildly and controlled the flamethrower to fire indiscriminately. The temperature in the warehouse rose sharply and the air seemed to be burning.
Tang Shengkai rushed in through the side door, but was stopped by two of Black's men. Chang Yin hadn't noticed when the two men appeared. They brandished machetes, flashing coldly. Tang Shengkai dodged the blades, stabbing one man in the abdomen with his short knife, and then followed up with a roundhouse kick, knocking the other to the ground.
Chang Yin was moving between the flames, looking for an opportunity to strike back. He noticed that the fuel barrels behind Blake were densely packed. If Blake aimed his musket at them, they would explode immediately.
Chang Yin picked up the iron rod on the ground and smashed it towards Blake's face.
