After the original owner passed away, the second wife, Lady Hesheli, was never happy.
It's all because Lady Guoluo is making a fuss every day, afraid that her son won't be able to inherit the Prince's mansion! After all, Emperor Kangxi was influenced by Han culture and valued his legitimate son!
So, because of their long-standing relationship, Yinzhen granted her wish, which made the innocent Hesheli a pity!
In the same year, three more pregnancies were announced in the backyard: Li, Qian, and Guo Luoluo.
However, in January, Guo Luo fell and miscarried.
She cried and made a scene, sometimes claiming to be from Xilinjueluo Shi, sometimes claiming that Fujin was trying to harm her.
Hearing her curses, Sherry went straight into her dorm room, dragged her up, pinned her down, and gave her a good beating!
The servants attending to him were so frightened that they stared in disbelief and dared not move.
Sherry: Damn it, flat as a washboard and yet he calls himself a favored concubine!
Yin rushed over upon receiving the message, only to find Xue Li gesturing wildly and confidently. He was so angry that he almost hit her.
"Stop! What kind of behavior is this, a princess consort? How can you be so narrow-minded and intolerant of others!" Yinzhen was furious, speaking sharply and sternly.
"Aunt Jasmine, so what if you slander the Fujin? So what if you favor a concubine over your wife?" Xue Li glared coldly at Yinzhen, her hands still slapping against him!
Yinzhen was so angry he was panting heavily. He wanted to stop them but couldn't, because the Empress Dowager's maid, Aunt Jasmine, happened to be standing in his way.
Yin finally made up his mind to stop her, and Shirley stopped.
He vigorously wiped his hands with a handkerchief, his slender, green fingers wiping them one by one.
Guo Luoluo, her face red and swollen, stared at the handkerchief floating on the ground, her eyes filled with disbelief and embarrassment.
Wang Fu, standing behind, looked horrified.
"If I really wanted to, you'd be a skeleton by now. What, are you taking advantage of my good temper? What are you pretending for now?! Aunt Jasmine, remember to slap her thirty times. If anyone tries to stop me, I'll ask Consort Yi in front of all the other consorts when I pay my respects tomorrow, is this the family discipline of the Guo Luo Luo family?! You're slandering the primary consort with empty words. If you want to die, I'll grant your wish!" Xue Li said coldly to Yinzhen, giving him a fierce glare.
This person wasn't close to Consort Yi, but since they were from the same clan, Consort Yi and her son had given her a lot of support!
If Sherry really reports this, not to mention how much the Empress Dowager and the Emperor will dislike her, the reputation of the Guo Luo Luo family will at least suffer.
If that happens, it will affect the marriage prospects of the young ladies in the manor. What good will it do if the tenth and ninth princes have the best relationship?!
Looking at Guo Luoluo's face covered in bruises and red marks, Shirley smiled with satisfaction and left gracefully.
"By the way, Wang Fu, did the aunt I asked you to arrange things with go?! I did everything perfectly, but someone still miscarried. Why is that? Is it because karma is getting its just deserts, or is it because the master is incompetent in managing his subordinates?!" Xue Li sneered and left.
Wang Fu and the servants were so frightened that they knelt down on the ground, trembling with fear.
Yinzhen was so angry he was panting heavily, like a firecracker! He had always been outspoken and had a bad temper, but his wife had an even worse temper than him!
After upsetting others, she can still tearfully complain to her maternal grandmother and father! And yet, everyone indulges her!
As Yin watched Xue Li stride away from afar, he clearly realized that his wife disliked him!
He felt a burning sense of frustration, and the final investigation concluded that Guo Luoluo had gone out for a stroll late at night on a whim and accidentally dropped and lost her child.
As for the involvement of the Xilin Jue Luo clan in the middle, who knows? Shirley knows, but Shirley doesn't stop them.
She likes smart people who know how to adapt to the times!
Yin left with a livid face.
Aunt Jasmine started slapping him, and Guo Luoluo screamed and cried in pain and misery.
She hates Lady Xilinjueluo, and even more so the Fujin (principal wife), and the master too, sob sob sob~
Shirley ignored her and complained to the Empress Dowager the next day, demanding four more palace maids.
Empress Dowager: ...
The Empress Dowager watched her select the young beauties with a complicated expression.
And so, four more beauties entered the mansion.
Yinzhen was so angry that he didn't go into the backyard for several days, and Xue Li ignored him. The New Year was just around the corner.
Sherry is in good health, but she still doesn't like these large banquets.
In April of the 40th year of the Kangxi Emperor's reign (1701), Lady Hitara gave birth to a daughter.
Sherry allowed her to receive the allowances of a concubine, and Yinzhen promoted her to the rank of concubine.
The others stared intently, their eyes filled with anticipation.
In May, Xilinjueluo and later Song also became pregnant, just like Shirley.
These people respected Sherry a lot, after all, Sherry had never caused them any trouble.
Meanwhile, Tangyi, Lanzhou, and Hezhou were experiencing drought. Xue Li encouraged Lao Jiu to donate grain.
Lao Jiu: Why would someone who's so smart keep throwing money away?
"Does Father Emperor dislike your business dealings? Does he say you're competing with the people for profit?" Shirley stared at him intently, her expression inscrutable!
Yinzhen sat alone on the other side of the desk, watching his ninth brother and his wife whispering to each other furtively.
"Hmm, what does that have to do with this?" Old Nine asked, somewhat displeased.
"Think about it, if you earn money and share the Emperor's burdens, how could he not like you?! The Emperor will definitely praise you highly!" Shirley said solemnly. "Then, at the grand court assembly, he will specifically praise you, and Consort Yi will also gain face, won't she?"
Old Nine: You're quite good at making things up.
“Ahem! My Ninth Prince has grown up and knows how to share his father’s burdens now~” Shirley imitated in a strange way, while the Ninth Prince’s face was contorted.
Old Nine was speechless, but the cakes were just too tempting. The more he thought about it, the more excited and confused he became. In the end, he decided to donate food to the disaster area with Sherry.
"Hey, it's not much money. Otherwise, we could repair river embankments, dikes, and waterways. Otherwise, some places would be prone to drought or flooding all the time," Shirley said casually.
