Tentacle social death incident at the blind date scene

Tentacle social death incident at the blind date scene

The neon sign in the Cthulhu-themed cafe flashed green, reading "Waiting for You in R'lyeh." A potted octopus in the corner emitted a mist scented with sea salt. Xiaodou sat in a tentacle-shaped booth, its tentacles nervously twirling the tablecloth. Today's blind date was with the "Deep Sea Poet," a squid-like creature who could write love poems with its tentacles.

"It's our first meeting, I brought you some gifts." The squid man pushed the door open and came in, holding a shell gift box in his tentacles. The moment the gift box was opened, a little squid that could sing "Love Business" flew out (a prank easter egg from the mechanical cat in the third volume).

Xiaodou's tentacles instinctively caught the squid, but accidentally became entangled with the squid's tentacles. The Cthulhu believers at the next table suddenly applauded: "That tentacle dance is great! Add me on WeChat?"

"We are not dancing!" Xiaodou tried to pull the tentacles apart, but burst the squid man's ink bag. The dark blue ink spread on the table, just covering the "Cthulhu Milk Tea" on the menu.

Poetry reading turns into food battle

The squid cleared his throat and pointed at the ink mark with his tentacle: "This is the love poem I wrote for you - 'Your eyes are like stars in the abyss, your tentacles are softer than seaweed, may our slime..."

"Stop!" Xiaodou protested, holding up the menu with his tentacles. "I'm more concerned about what to eat today."

The two started arguing over "sweet or salty octopus balls". The squid man excitedly slammed his tentacles on the table, and the ink sprayed out drew a Cthulhu smiley face on the wall; Xiaodou used sweet dream energy to create a "marshmallow barrage" with the words "Cheese is the truth" written on it.

Investigator A (disguised as a believer) at the next table was shaking with laughter and secretly sent a message to the director: "The target is emotionally stable and is currently having a Cthulhu debate using food."

The director's reply was a single line: "Keep your eyes on the symbol on the squid's cuff—does it look like the refrigerator magnets in real clinics?"

San value rampage and ocean paradise hallucination

The argument suddenly escalated, and the squid's San value plummeted due to the "sweet and salty dispute." The suction cups on his tentacles began to spray green, fear-inducing slime, which fell to the ground and transformed into a crying deep-sea fish. He pointed at Xiaodou and screamed, "You don't understand Cthulhu romance! True love should be like the abyss... dark and cold!"

"No way!" Xiaodou's tentacles burst out with sweet dream energy, shrouding the entire cafe in the illusion of an ocean theme park - the Cthulhu statue turned into a carousel, the slime of fear turned into a rainbow slide, and even the air was filled with the smell of cotton candy.

The squid was stunned, its tentacles unconsciously following the swaying of the little octopus on the carousel. "Is this... an amusement park? It was my favorite when I was a kid..."

Xiaodou took the opportunity to pass over a cheese stick made of interstellar nutrients with his tentacles (a foreshadowing of Volume 11): "Try it? It's sweet, and warmer than the abyss."

The cracks in reality in the secret letter

After the squid finished eating the cheese stick, his San value returned to normal. He suddenly took out half a crumpled secret letter from his pocket: "Actually, I'm not here for a blind date. The Nightmare asked me to give you this - it said you can understand it."

The Cthulhu text on the secret letter completely matches the fragment of the Deep Sea Library in Chapter 2 of Volume 12, except for an additional note: "The reality rift will open when the Rat King's core resonates. The key is Lin Shen's stethoscope."

"Lin Shen's stethoscope?" Xiaodou's claw rune suddenly heated up, resonating with the mechanical cat energy chip in his pocket (a foreshadowing in Volume 3). "This means..."

The director's voice came from outside the window: "Xiaodou! The followers of the God of Gluttony have surrounded the cafe! They want to steal the secret letter!"

The squid man suddenly used his tentacles to protect Xiaodou: "I'll block it for you! Although you don't understand the romance of the abyss, but... the illusion of cotton candy flavor is quite cute."

In the chaos, Xiaodou's tentacles, carrying the secret letter and the squid's ink bottle, reunited with the director and Nightmare (who suddenly jumped from the ventilation duct). Nightmare's claws stepped on the map projection of the real world. The "Lin Shen Clinic" on the projection was marked with a red circle, with the words next to it:

"The stethoscope is in the belly of the 'Conceptual Rat King Specimen' in the clinic—don't tell Lin Shen I said that."

"Specimen?" Xiaodou's pupils contracted, and he suddenly remembered the veterinarian's office on the wallpaper of the school idol in Volume 7's campus chapter. There was indeed an "ancient rodent specimen" hanging on the wall. "That's not a specimen, it's..."

The squid suddenly raised its tentacles and said, "I'm joining in! The amusement park is more fun than the abyss. I want to help you stop that hungry god!"

The director looked at the impromptu "Tentacle Alliance" and sighed helplessly: "Okay, the plan is... to go to the real world and grab the stethoscope first."
