"Don't worry, it's just a small trinket."
"You can play with it as you like."
Zhou Ling walked side by side with her, heading towards the small garden outside the house, introducing it to her as they walked.
"Grandpa has some connections with the Xia family. He Yang and I used to come here to play when we were little."
"He has a very beautiful fountain here. I don't know if it has been taken down."
As they were talking, they turned a corner and heard the sound of gurgling water.
When he looked up again, Xiao Siyun saw the small round fountain not far away, with the water curtain flashing with flowing silver light.
"Ah, and fireflies."
Xiao Siyun's eyes lit up.
The fountain is surrounded by small trees as tall as the wall. There are dots of light dancing between the trees, and several fireflies are flashing around with their small lanterns.
Xiao Siyun couldn't help but want to move forward, but Zhou Ling gently pulled him back.
"It's all grass, don't go."
"If I had known this place was barren and their family hadn't tidied it up, I would have had someone weed it in advance."
Zhou Ling looked at her fair shoulders and calves, fearing that snakes, insects, rats and ants would jump out of the grass.
"It's okay, let's just stand aside and watch for a while. It's quiet here and it's not bad."
Xiao Siyun went to stand in the corridor next to him.
While holding Zhou Ling's arm, she bent down and brushed the wind away from her calves.
There are some floaters.
Zhou Ling shook his clothes to help her repel mosquitoes and said guiltily:
"It's better not to stay here. The mosquitoes bite too hard in the summer..."
“Bang!”
As soon as Zhou Ling finished speaking, Xiao Siyun slapped himself on the arm.
She frowned and agreed happily.
