Chapter 3: Boy

Staring eagerly.

Xiao Siyun didn't move. "I won't walk. You need me more."

The boy coaxed her, "Put it on."

Xiao Siyun reluctantly put his feet in. It was still a little warm inside, uh... weird.

She moved her toes, feeling a little confused, and couldn't help asking, "Do you have athlete's foot?"

The boy was obviously stunned for a moment, then laughed and replied, "No."

She felt relieved and expressed her gratitude sincerely: "Okay, thank you. Oh, by the way, what's your name?"

"Zhou Ling."

His voice was clear and cold, and he pronounced each word clearly and briefly. When heard together, it had an unexpectedly sticky and lazy tone, which was quite pleasant.

"Spin? Jump?"

Zhou Ling laughed, "It's not Jolin Tsai, it's Zhou for weekend, Ling for command."

"Never mind all that, let's go."

Zhou Ling nodded and stood up despite the pain in his legs. Only then did Xiao Siyun realize that he had difficulty walking.

"Your leg is injured? Is the wheelchair yours?"

"It's no problem."

Zhou Ling comforted her and pushed her towards the elevator.

Xiao Siyun sniffed and looked towards the stairwell next to the elevator, where light and shadow flashed.

She had a bad feeling, but couldn't put her finger on what was wrong. She muttered, "It smells like smoke. Where have you smelled that before?"

"Maybe someone is smoking in the stairwell, so we can't smell it when we go downstairs."

bite!

The elevator has arrived.

She stared nervously at the crack in the door, then suddenly grabbed Zhou Ling's hand, her voice trembling.

"Go, go back, this doesn't taste good!"
