The cub had to admit that he missed his father.
Just as cubs have a physiological need for their guardians, even their tiny hearts yearn for the caresses of their guardians.
In turbulent environments, guardians are the cubs' home, shelter, and everything.
The boy sighed deeply. Having been loved by his father, he no longer lacked the determination and courage to embark on his journey, nor was he afraid of the world.

So now it looks like a disheveled puppy with its fur standing on end, being carried around in the other person's hand, like a small, plush toy.

The other party seemed to be amused by the little brat.

When Qi Ranzhi saw the cub run into the professor's pocket, his eyes nearly popped out of their sockets.
He secretly grabbed Agari's hand: "Wait, am I hallucinating? Are there mass-produced mermaid larvae? Is ours number 000-something? Is it cub 001?"
He would rather believe the cubs were twins than believe the cubs had escaped from prison.
Agari wanted to slap him awake: "Come on, do you think everyone is so lucky that fish fry fall from the sky and you can just pick them up whenever you want?"
The two of them were still whispering to each other when the cub saw them.
The kid doesn't quite understand the concept of running away from home yet, so he still dares to greet Qi Ranzhi and the others with great boldness:
"dad!"

Qi Ranzhi and Agali simultaneously slid down to their knees, a contest of speed.
They explained the origins of the cubs to the crowd, primarily to Osiris.
Of course, they concealed the fact that the cub was a baby.
If others knew, they would take it as an unspoken understanding; if others didn't know, then their actions would protect the cubs.
