Chapter 280 The Little One Becomes a Parent

How could Long Qian not know about his own changes?

He existed as a fighting machine, always remaining detached, cold, and ruthless.

But now everything is different.

Everything was beyond repair.

"Mania, paranoia, anxiety, delusions of persecution, separation anxiety..."

"Your personality is slowly disintegrating."

Long Qian didn't seem to be listening at all; his gaze remained fixed on the child outside the door.

The little one pressed itself against the door, squashing itself into a flattened shape, looking very curious and wanting to look through the window. But it was a one-way window, and after a while, the little one withdrew one of its cheeks.

Only when the fluffy head was pressed against the glass again did Long Qian look away and say to the doctor:

“What can I do? I can’t ignore the cub, I can’t stop loving him.”

The cub is his unresolved issue; how could he possibly give it away?

Long Qian said, "No matter what I was like before, my baby is back now, and for him, I will live well."

The doctor advised him, "Wouldn't it be better if you received treatment? Don't you want to have a healthier parent-child relationship? If you let it continue, your possessiveness and desire to control your child will only grow stronger. What if your child gets tired of you later, or you hurt him?"

Long Qian fell silent.

He said, "I would never hurt him."

He will only act against the cub's wishes in one specific situation.

That means the cubs will disappear again.

I don't know how anymore.

Long Qian will never let his child suffer so much again; they will be together forever.

Never again, we will be apart.

The doctor sighed.

Then she opened the door and called out:

"Long Qian's parents, please come here."

Not long after, the little guy walked in with his head held high and chest puffed out.

The cub never imagined it would one day become a parent.

So he was very happy.

Faced with his father's refusal to listen to the doctor, the little guy went up to him and planned to climb onto the chair to try and communicate properly again.

But the chair was a bit high, and his arms and legs were too short for him to climb up.

In the end, it was his father who picked him up and put him on top of it.

Now the little guy can seriously cross his arms and listen to the doctor complain to him.

The cub seemed to understand these technical terms and complex words, nodding as if it could actually understand them.

Then he tilted his head and fell into his father's arms.

Use the pitiful and coquettish tactics to your advantage.

"Dad goes to the doctor, Dad gets better..."

Long Qian was completely under their control.

He had a psychological consultation with a doctor.

In fact, during this period of searching for the cubs, Long Qian's breakdown had already begun to show signs.

Many parents cannot bear the blow of losing a child. Longing grows wildly like weeds, yet receives no response.

That will cause it to rust.

The cub knows that being sick is painful, so the cub stays with its father, wanting to give him a piece of candy.

Long Qian woke up from the hypnosis, in that long search, in the regret of seeing the cub's red pupils every time, and in the guilt of constantly thinking about the suffering the cub had endured.

Then he felt the soft, cool baby's little hand disappear from his grasp.

Instead, a piece of candy was given.

A piece of candy that Long Qian had been waiting for for a long time but could never get.

Long Qian held Qian Yuan tightly.

The cub felt something hot dripping onto his shoulder, but he thoughtfully didn't say anything.

After all, he is Long Qian's parent.

The cub led Long Qian and the doctor away. He really liked the doctor now, so he kept turning back to wave to her.

Bye-bye.

From the beginning, when he was leading Long Qian, to when Long Qian was dragging him, the little guy held onto Long Qian's arm and put all his weight on it, letting his dad pull him, and the whole kid leaned to one side.

The child is still waving:

"Bye-bye, bye-bye, come again next time."

Long Qian didn't care whether he needed to see a doctor. He only needed to be sure that he and the cub were one, that the cub wouldn't leave him, wouldn't abandon him again. It was just that the cub was sometimes too lively and sometimes quiet, so Long Qian had to pick the cub up and put it back into his arms.

After the cub returned to its father's arms, it behaved like an angelic baby for quite some time.

Although the little cub didn't fully understand what illness its father had, the little guy remembered the pain of being sick and understood that this was when people were most vulnerable and in dire need of support.

So the cub's daily task is to cling to its father endlessly.

A kiss in the morning, a kiss in the evening, kisses while eating, kisses while sleeping—when the cub turned into a clingy maniac, Long Qian's mental state improved considerably.

She looked radiant.

Unfortunately, Long Qian didn't have time to enjoy himself for long before he had to get busy. The new refuge city needed construction, and as the leader, even if he didn't participate and act as a hands-off manager, he still had to oversee and supervise everyone. With him in charge, no one would dare to act recklessly.

If possible, Long Qian would still take the cub with him, but every time they went out, the cub would always snuggle in his arms and sleep soundly, never peeking out to look, seemingly uninterested in these things at all.

Long Qian felt that the cub seemed to have its own thoughts, but as a straight man, he hadn't grasped them yet.

Sometimes, when Long Qian was too unable to take care of the cubs, he would have no choice but to leave them with his trusted confidants.

He originally intended to give it to Long Yiling, but when he thought about what Long Yiling had done, Long Qian entrusted the cub to Long Yinian instead.

Long Yinian was filled with fear and trepidation, cradling the soft, cuddly child in his hands, utterly astonished:
