The city lord, Mo Wugui, glanced at the portly leaders and said indifferently:
"Do you also possess supernatural abilities and dare to go to the front lines to fight?"
"Those bleeding ahead are the superhumans, so please just stay in the city and enjoy your retirement, and don't interfere in things that don't concern you."
The northern refuge city has survived to this day thanks to Mo Wugui and the military. Soldiers generally have higher-quality awakened supernatural abilities, and they cooperate better, acting with greater coordination and even having firepower support.
However, Mo Wugui was not entirely confident that he would dare to fight Long Qian. For now, it was good enough that they could hold onto their existing territory in this time of crisis.
Qianyuan was unaware of the dramatic changes happening outside.
Because he had absorbed too much energy, he had been sleeping the whole time. The cub's tiny body rose and fell slowly with each breath. Only occasionally would the cub twitch its limbs and make a sound of discomfort, as if it were having a nightmare.
It was a terrifying dream. Everything was stained red with blood. Qianyuan stood alone in the ruins, with nothing around him. The deathly silence around him frightened him.
But before he could turn around, a hand gripped his wrist tightly.
A shadow taller than him approached step by step, enveloping him from behind.
"Got you?"
He said this in a hoarse and deep voice.
It seems she's become obsessed with missing him.
Qianyuan's animalistic instincts immediately kicked in, and she was on edge.
But the man's embrace was like iron, holding him tightly.
The voice drew closer to him, sniffing from above his head to his ear, as if confirming his presence.
Qianyuan could even hear the sound of the person pressing their face against his ear, the sound of their ear bones grinding against each other.
It was as if I wanted to devour him whole.
The little guy was so startled that he wanted to turn around, but then he saw a strand of black hair hanging down and a shiny earring.
Qianyuan was woken up by Long Yiling.
The cub, its hair disheveled, looked like a little dandelion, staring blankly at Long Yiling.
Long Yiling finally breathed a sigh of relief and dressed the child in the ugly clothes she had sewn:
“I kept seeing you having nightmares, and you were about to cry, so I took it upon myself to wake you up.”
The boy was bewildered, seemingly having forgotten the dream he had just had, but when he stretched out his hand, he saw a clear bruise around his wrist.

On the other side, Long Qian suddenly opened his eyes.
He found him.
Although he only had a general location, Long Qian wouldn't mind the trouble; he would search high and low for it.
Anyway, he had been searching for so many days, and the control of his supernatural power had never stopped. He also used his dreams to search for the sleeping person at night.
He finally got what he'd been waiting for.
Long Qian immediately summoned his legion, which marched in a mighty force towards the cub's location.
Instead, they ran into people from the northern refugee camp.
Mo Wugui warily watched Long Qian not far away, thinking that as long as he took a detour, this guy would generally not pursue him relentlessly.
But he didn't expect that in the blink of an eye, Long Qian had already rushed down towards them, aiming at Long Yinian who was standing next to Mo Wugui!
Long Qian's goal was to force Qian Yuan, who was nearby, out.
He succeeded.
After growing larger, Qian Yuan decisively rescued the people, but Long Qian discovered their hiding place. The next second, Long Qian used a wind blade to blow away the top of the building where they were hiding, exposing Qian Yuan and Long Yiling.
Long Yiling was using his body to firmly protect Qian Yuan, preventing him from being blown away. The little guy nestled in his arms, his white hair fluttering in the direction of the wind blades, many of which had been cut off.
However, Qianyuan's appearance still surprised everyone present.
Long Yiling felt several gazes directed at him. Fearing that Qian Yuan might be harmed in any way, he tried even harder to completely embrace her.
They were on their way when the cub saw Long Yinian being attacked and instinctively grew bigger to help. It was only wearing Long Yiling's coat, with its two beautiful, straight legs exposed, being gentlemanly protected by Long Yiling.
Long Yinian was dumbfounded: "What's going on...? How come I saw my brother? Hmm? Who is that beauty?"
Ignoring the puzzled crowd, Long Qian's goal was clear: he reached out directly towards Qian Yuan. Knowing that Long Yi Ling was no match for Long Qian and fearing he would be implicated, Qian Yuan pushed Long Yi Ling away.
The next second, he was firmly locked in Long Qian's arms.
That chilling feeling surged up again. Out of her zombie instincts, Qianyuan couldn't help but struggle a couple of times, but was firmly restrained by Long Qian, whose arm strength was so great that it dug into her flesh.
"it hurts……"
Qianyuan's tears flowed down, but the father who used to wipe away his tears was gone.
He held Qianyuan in his arms and retreated to his own territory.
Even after returning to his room, Long Qian simply locked Qian Yuan up, keeping him firmly in place, not wanting him to disappear from his sight again.
But it seems he can no longer recall the tenderness of being a father.
"dad……"
As Qianyuan called out to Long Qian, she shrank back to a tiny cub.
"Daddy, Daddy..."
But it seems that even the cubs cannot awaken Long Qian's rationality.
Long Qian watched Qian Yuan shrink, his gaze complex and unreadable. After a moment of silence, he reached out and pinched the cub, carefully examining its body for any wounds. Then he took out a cotton swab and wiped away the abrasions on the cub's body.
