The cubs didn't see their father return carrying a large box of artifacts that their employer had ordered them to protect.
The cub didn't understand what a priceless treasure was.
But the cub understands that its father's embrace is for its cubs, not for anything else.
But they are busy escaping the scene and don't have time to switch the cubs and the collection back.
At first, no one noticed that the cub was staring at its father and crying.
The cub cried for a long time, soaking the clothes of Long Yinian who was holding him.
Almost everyone in the car jumped up in fright at Long Yinian's shout:
"Boss!!! He cried!! He cried!!!"
It wasn't the cub's tears that startled him so much, but rather the cub's red-rimmed eyes, its pale face scrunched up, its mouth pouting, looking both aggrieved and vulnerable, as if seeking protection from a stronger kind, which greatly frightened Long Yinian.
He had never seen such a soft, fragile creature.
Don't cry so much.
Otherwise, the boss would definitely kill him!
Long Yinian felt like he was holding a hot potato, and in the end, because he was too scared, he stuffed the cub into the hands of his companion next to him.
The cub cried even harder, its mouth pouting like a little duck.
"Waaah..."
"Boss! Help!!!"
Helpless, Long Qian could only toss the collection aside and reach out to pick up the cub.
These guys, if you didn't know better, you'd think they'd been kidnapped.
They can't possibly control such tiny kids.
Long Qian sneered inwardly, then carefully coaxed the baby in his arms.
The cub finally stopped crying.
But when he turned around, he saw that his uncle, with whom he had a good relationship, had also picked up the box, and the tears that had just subsided welled up again.
"Oh my goodness! Can't your dad hold you?!"
The artifact was eventually trampled under their feet, while the cub was passed around and held for a while, like an incomparably precious treasure.
The baby, exhausted from being carried, finally stopped crying.
Long Qian smoothed the cub's furrowed brow and sighed:
"Where does this jealousy come from? How can it be so intense? All it does is pester me."
He doesn't even consider who else could be so indulgent towards this cub.
Moreover, while he spoke of blaming, Long Qian's words were more about boasting and smugness.
He now has a cub that cares about him.
This cub is no longer as light as it was when we first found it.
The cubs he has now are his responsibility, his promise, and the children he cherishes dearly.
And the little one seemed to be so eager to learn to speak because he had just been severely provoked.
He looked at the deeply moved Long Qian and called out, "Ba..."
"papa".
Long Qian paused, stunned.
"Papa, Papa, Daddy..."
This was the first time Long Qian had heard a child call him "Dad".
He excitedly picked up the baby!
Just then, Long Yinian said from the side, "Wow, boss, your kid is so intelligent."
"He can still call me 'Dad'."
The next second, Long Yinian started crying and calling for his father.
However, Long Qian calmed down a bit. He withdrew his hand, patted the cub's back, and felt that he shouldn't get excited over such a small thing. But the cub still had a lot of clingy energy left to use.
Every time he watches the cub grow up, and sees the cub acting cute and wanting its father, Long Qian always takes the cub out to show it off.
This made the whole base much more lively, and even others couldn't help but wonder if they should raise some obedient little pets or children.
But when they saw those vicious pets that barked and bit, they realized that only the eldest child seemed to be so angelic.
Why is the boss so lucky?!
Which direction should they go to search for the same cub?
Fortunately, the little one isn't biased towards any particular group. He often comes out to play with the uncles and aunts, turning what should have been a mercenary base into a playground.
Traces of the cubs were everywhere.
Even in places where guns are fired, the cubs can draw kittens and puppies on them.
The men standing guard at the gate, who looked quite fierce, also had QQ candies being fed to them by the cubs.
The equipment they use for exercise, which can also be toys for cubs, is surrounded by a ring of colorful protective foam, making it look like a burly man wearing a pink bow.
If there hadn't been an apocalypse, the cubs would surely have grown up healthy under everyone's care.
But mercenaries are inherently risky.
After returning from a mysterious mission at night, Long Qian and his companions locked themselves in their room, refusing to see the cubs.
No one expected that their mission was to transport the developed zombie virus.
On the way, they encountered an enemy attack. The zombie virus was accidentally broken, and Long Qian's subordinate instinctively tried to catch it, but his hand was cut by the broken glass, and the virus entered his bloodstream.
Their partner was the first human to turn into a zombie.
Long Qian realized that something was wrong with what the boss had asked them to transport, but they didn't have the antidote either. They could only keep their companions in place and try to find the developer so that he could hand over the solution.
But upon arrival, they discovered the research facility was deserted, with several large characters written in blood on the white walls:
"The end times are coming!!!"
The next second, the zombie virus was detonated by a miniature bomb and injected into the bodies of everyone present.
