Long Qian never felt this way when facing other humans.
Only in front of the children he likes and loves.
Long Qian's mouth watered.
In the end, Long Qian had no choice but to wear a bite stopper.
In addition, an electric shock collar was also added around his neck.
This would allow him to be restrained when he is in a state of confusion, preventing him from harming the child.
Even so, this outfit made him look like a vicious dog surrounding the baby.
However, in order to restrain himself, Long Qian didn't care.
He hung the collar key around the cub's neck and told him that if one day his father changed, became inhuman, and wanted to hurt him, he should use this to provoke his father.
"It's okay, it's just to wake Dad up, it won't hurt him."
Long Qian coaxed him like this, his tone as if he were playing a game with a cub.
However, the cubs seem to have a natural aversion to these things.
The baby kept shaking its head, but its father held its little hand tightly, then hugged it and said:
"Dad, please."
The cub softened.
He nodded sullenly, letting his father hang the key and the longevity lock together. The two metal objects made a crisp sound when they clashed.
The child nestled against his father's neck, his cheek rubbing against his father's skin, revealing a sensitivity beyond his years:
"A father is a father; he won't get sick or go astray."
"Dad won't die either."
Long Qian's expression relaxed as he was amused by the little guy's innocent words.
"But Dad will still disappear."
The cub pouted:
"No, Daddy will never die."
Long Qian: ...I don't know if this child is filial or not.
But at least he is now truly "immortal".
This can be considered to have suited the cub's wishes.
But how long can he stay with the cubs?
Long Qian thought to himself. His energy would eventually run out, and the zombies would one day starve. Long Qian needed far more energy than a cub, and without any blood to nourish him, that excruciating hunger would drive him to the brink of madness.
His child was fast asleep beside his neck.
Long Qian's eyes were bloodshot. He lowered his head, and the metal strip of the bite stopper touched the cub's face.
The cub was awakened by heavy breathing.
He rubbed his eyes and got up, then saw a shadow in the darkness.
"dad?"
The cub seemed oblivious to the danger and reached out for its father to hold it.
The result was that Long Qian simply ripped off the bite restraint that was holding his fangs in place with his bare hands.
Long Qian slowly approached the cub, able to press down on its small body with one hand and smell the scent of blood flowing from its neck.
The cub seemed stunned, just staring as Long Qian opened his mouth, revealing his sharp fangs.
But before he could bite, Long Qian suddenly grabbed his own throat with his other hand.
"Hehe..."
Long Qian, with his last shred of sanity, spoke to the cub at some unknown time:
"Electric shock ring..."
“It’s okay, baby, Daddy loves you… Even if you treat me like a bad guy, try to control me, and hold on tight to the collar, I can still protect you…”
"Baby, don't be afraid of me, and don't worry about hurting me. Just do it."
The cub only realized what was happening at this moment. He seemed very scared and wanted to cry, but he still carefully held back his tears. I wonder if his father would comfort him now.
Dad seemed very uneasy and scared...
Long Qian struggled with all his might to fall backward, knocking over the cozy furniture in the room, kicking over chairs, and scattering plates and cups all over the floor, but none of that was as intense as Long Qian's struggle as he rolled on the ground.
Finally, Long Qian almost screamed:
"quick!"
"Because you are my baby, it doesn't matter how you use me."
"Let's do it!"
But Long Qian closed his eyes and, instead of waiting for the electric current to run through his body, he heard footsteps.
The little boy stepped on the broken glass, his cotton socks soaked with blood, but he still endured the pain and walked step by step to his father.
Long Qian roared at the cub, whether to intimidate it or to warn it not to come closer, it was unclear.
But the cub still walked steadily towards Long Qian and hugged him.
The cub did not press the electric shock switch, but instead unhooked its collar.
He wrapped his arms around his father's neck, tears falling like a string of pearls onto Long Qian's face and neck.
Then Long Qian sensed that the cub had put a new necklace on him.
It was a longevity lock he gave to the cub.
"For Daddy, Daddy, don't be sad, don't get sick, don't get hurt..."
The cub was sobbing, clearly having suffered a great injustice.
But even if Zai is injured, he would never pick up the sword that stabbed Long Qian in order to protect himself.
Moreover, the cub, while crying, actively raised its head, revealing its smooth and clean neck.
"You, you can bite it. Daddy's hungry, you can eat, but don't eat too much, just leave a little bit for your baby, waaaah..."
"And please bite gently, don't bite too hard qwq"
Long Qian's panting and roaring gradually subsided. He stared at the cub's neck for a long time, but then he simply buried his face in the cub and hugged it fiercely.
A cub only needs tears and sincerity to tame the world's fiercest beast.
The child thought his father had regained his senses and secretly lowered his head to look at Long Qian's expression. But when he met Long Qian's blood-red pupils, he guiltily looked away and whispered:
