Chapter 303 Human Cats

Long Qian absorbed the zombie's energy little by little. With his strength, becoming the zombie king was only a matter of time. However, because Long Qian stayed away from home to take care of the cubs and did not kill or injure anyone, his existence was almost ignored.

Until people from other shelters passed by.

Now, only Long Qian and the cub remain in this base, relying on each other for survival. They accidentally wandered inside and saw the newly renovated garden and swing, concluding that someone still lived there.

In this apocalyptic world, they dared not recklessly barge in. The group exchanged glances, raised their weapons, and approached cautiously.

Hello, is anyone there?

The leader spoke up to ask a question.

"We're just passing through, could we stay here for the night? We'll be leaving tomorrow."

There was still no response from inside the house.

Did the owner of the house go out?

The leader felt a chill run down his spine and instinctively sensed something was wrong. He wanted to lead his men to retreat, but it was too late.

A hand landed on his shoulder.

Then, in the next second, to the person's horrified gaze, Long Qian silenced everyone.

They couldn't make a sound; they could only watch as the tall, sinister-looking man with bright red eyes, clearly a zombie, approached step by step, raised a finger to his lips, and hissed.

"Quiet."

At this moment, everyone noticed that the zombie was actually holding a small child in its arms.

She was carefully wrapped in a blanket, revealing a small face that was soundly asleep.

Zombies... zombies with children?

Everyone else was almost dizzy.

Just when they thought they would be killed, Long Qian simply turned around and put the cubs back in the room. His inhuman, crimson pupils flashed, and his supernatural power pressed against their necks.

"Is there anything to eat?"

Several people: Huh?

So this zombie is just waiting for them to prepare him and deliver him to his mouth?

They couldn't cry, and they couldn't laugh.

The leader tried to argue: "Our meat isn't very tasty. Look how long we've been starving. It's tough. If you don't mind, we can bring our enemies over. They eat meat three times a day."

But Long Qian didn't stop at all. He released his superpower, and just when the group thought their lives were in danger and closed their eyes in despair, they found that Long Qian had only taken off their backpacks and coats.

Then they seized all the chocolate energy bars and various canned goods inside.

They were all dumbfounded.

When this guy talks about food, he really means food in the literal sense.

Does this zombie have some kind of pica?

Just as they were wondering, Long Qian spoke up, seemingly interested in what they were saying.

The deep voice sounded again:

"Send two of your men over there to steal the food, which is your human food."

"Snacks or something similar would be best."

them:? ? ? ?

No, do zombies also like to eat human cat treats?

Just as they were wondering, Long Qian didn't give them a chance to think. He turned around and grabbed two people, throwing them out.

The others thought they had escaped for the time being, but then Long Qian controlled their hands and feet again, and their bodies moved involuntarily to clean up the mess they had made.

They now understood why this place was so clean!

So there must have been a lot of unlucky guys who came here before, right?!

Moreover, everything was looted, leaving not even enough food for them to eat.

The group was on the verge of tears, but faced with Long Qian, who was clearly stronger than them, they dared not retaliate.

[It can speak, possesses human-like intelligence, and has so many superpowers—could this be a zombie king?]

One of them took advantage of Long Qian's inattention to secretly give his companion a signal.

[Possibly. Besides, we haven't seen any trace of the Zombie King recently.]

Others echoed his sentiments.

But should we report it?

Just as everyone was hesitating, the sleeping child woke up and ran out of the room barefoot.

"dad!"

A crisp sound rang out, and everyone couldn't help but turn their heads to look.

All they saw was a real, living human child, about two or three years old, holding a baby bottle in both hands, wobbling towards the terrifying zombie.

The human cub didn't seem afraid of Long Qian at all. Upon seeing Long Qian, it immediately beamed with joy, like a puppy.

"Dad! Hug me!"

Long Qian walked over and silently picked up the child.

After evolving, the dragon no longer needs prompting from its cub to understand what the cub wants to do.

It was right after the baby's afternoon nap, and he was about to have his second feeding.

Long Qian slowly took the bottle, carried the child into the house to prepare the formula, and everyone else could see through the window that Long Qian was more skilled at taking care of the child than they were.

Thinking back to the snacks Long Qian had asked for earlier, they quickly realized what was going on.

[Is this zombie really taking care of a child?]

But this child is human!!! Regardless of whether they are related, what if that zombie loses patience and goes berserk? Wouldn't the little one become his meal?

Should we rescue the child?

Just as they were discussing, the cub noticed them.

Normally, the cub would come closer to take a look and greet the uncles and aunts. But now, his father is inseparable from his jealous big dog, and the cub only glanced at them twice from his father's arms before looking away uninterestedly.

"Dad, I've gotten fat..."

The little boy patted his belly, trying to blame Long Qian for all the snacks he had eaten.

But who knew that Long Qian wouldn't play by the rules? He simply reached out and pinched the soft belly that had formed when the cub sat down, and after a moment of silence, he replied:

"I'm not fat."

"Little one, so cute..."

Long Qian thought hard, recalling the candy the cub had given him before, and earnestly stated, "Yes."

It's very soft and sweet.

The baby was shy for a moment, then kissed its father on the cheek:

"Can I have any snacks today?"

Long Qian very strictly pointed to one finger at the cub:

"You can have a chocolate."

The cub has been complaining of a toothache lately.

But if the cubs can't eat, they'll miss it.

There is no parent in the world who spoils their child more than Long Qian.

He puts on a stern face, but when the cubs start bargaining with tears in their eyes, Long Qian softens.

But in other people's eyes, it's just that the zombie mistreats the cub, even refusing to give him chocolate.

Moreover, the cub is so attached to that monster that even when the zombie treats him badly, the cub still calls him "Dad," likes him, and kisses him.

Such an angelic little baby made these humans decide that they must rescue the cub from the zombie king's clutches.
