But a certain little fairy who was given high hopes by the sect is currently lying sprawled out in Zhou Qiuqiu's arms, fast asleep.
As always, she fell asleep as soon as her head hit the pillow.
This made Zhou Qiujiu wonder where her son got this habit from, that he could sleep in such a wild way.
Previously, Zhou Qiujiu thought that it was because he was by the baby's side that the baby felt safe and that was why he was sleeping like that.
But later Zhou Qiujiu discovered that no matter what new environment they were in, the baby would still lie down directly, expose his belly and fall asleep without any hesitation.
This at least proves that the person who took care of the cubs must have been a strong and reliable individual, capable of keeping the cubs firmly under their protection and allowing them to grow freely.
Zhou Qiuqiu felt a tightness in her heart when she thought of this.
He was happy for the cub, but also afraid that he would be separated from it in the future.
When the cub first appeared, its feathers were so clean, and it couldn't do anything. It was clearly a pampered child. Maybe someone is searching for it somewhere else.
Zhou Qiuqiu was afraid that the only light in her life would leave.
What Zai doesn't know is that Zhou Qiujiu is actually the real coward, or a biased villain.
The next day, these outer disciples also had to start cultivating and were responsible for cleaning up the entire sect, so they immediately got busy.
Helping the Immortal Venerable find the egg was naturally the responsibility of the inner disciples, and these disciples of the lowest status had no idea what had happened yesterday, nor could they see their senior brothers and sisters.
So the kid was just diligently doing his daily homework and tasks with the three little people.
However, newly arrived outer disciples naturally form cliques; those from wealthy families or with superior spiritual roots look down on those who are less fortunate.
Especially someone like Zhou Qiuqiu, who looks like a poor person and whose spiritual root is practically useless.
And yet, she also has such an eye-catching face.
When their attempts to sow discord between Ruo Piaoxue and Ruo Liufeng failed, they separated the three little people and deliberately assigned Zhou Qiujiu to the most difficult place to clean, giving him the heaviest work.
But Zhou Qiuqiu's leg hasn't healed yet, how could he possibly sit down?
Seeing that Zhou Qiuqiu was limping on one leg but still wanted to jump into the water, Zai was so anxious that he kept jumping around in place. Zai quickly flew up and held up the carrying pole, trying to help him share some of the weight.
Even though the child was panting heavily from exhaustion, I could only lift him up a little bit.
The baby's eyes were brimming with tears.
He's too weak!
Chiu couldn't protect his little man.
After carrying water with her crippled leg, Zhou Qiujiu turned around and saw that Zai was crying so hard that tears had gathered into a small puddle in front of him, and his feathers were also wet, turning him into a half-dry ball of fluff.
Zhou Qiujiu had never seen a cub so overwhelmed with tears.
He was startled and went over to pick up the baby, but the baby wouldn't let him.
The baby shook its feathers, looked down at Zhou Qiuqiu's calloused hands, and couldn't bear to let him hug it again.
At this moment, the disciples who had been deliberately torturing people came over again. When they saw Zhou Qiujiu, they covered their mouths and noses, as if they were afraid that Zhou Qiujiu would contaminate them with something dirty.
"I don't know why the sect would recruit such a cripple. He's an eyesore as soon as I see him. I'd rather he were dead."
Zhou Qiuqiu stood there with her head down, listening to their taunts without saying a word.
"Damn it, why don't you kneel down when you see your senior brother? Are you blind?!"
"You piece of trash, how dare you show your face in front of your senior brothers and get in their way? Are you doing this on purpose?"
Zhou Qiuqiu remained motionless, it was unclear whether he was enduring it or feeling numb and indifferent.
One of them, disliking Zhou Qiuqiu, kicked her in her still-healing leg.
"I told you to kneel down!!!"
Zhou Jiujiu remained motionless.
The man immediately became impatient: "Tsk."
The man raised his foot to kick again, but the cub couldn't take it anymore. He subconsciously mobilized the spiritual energy surging around him and turned himself into a fireball.
—The Angry Birds version of Fat Chick, making a grand entrance!!
The man didn't even see what was flying towards him; he only felt heat on his face before a ball of flame slammed into him.
The others finally saw the fat bird's true form, but the bird, already furious and its feathers practically on fire, wasn't going to let them off the hook and pecked at them fiercely.
I didn't know before that the cubs could peck so fiercely, and with the added flames, it would be enough to make them run for their lives.
Only after those people were driven away did the cub, exhausted, plummet to the ground from mid-air.
Zhou Qiuqiu took him into her arms and carefully checked the baby for any injuries.
The chicks were found to be dry and fluffy, smelling like chicks, and looked like they were crying, but there wasn't a single tear.
Everything was burned dry.
And it seems like he even burned off his own feathers?
Zhou Qiuqiu gestured, and only then did the cub notice that its bottom was charred black.
His once proud, round, fluffy white hairy buttocks are no more.
"Chirp..."
The cub was heartbroken but couldn't cry, so he stood by the bucket, contemplating jumping in to drown. Zhou Qiujiu wouldn't let him jump and could only try to distract the cub by playing the victim.
The boy looked at Zhou Qiuqiu's legs with a pained expression and couldn't help but start scolding:
"***!!!"
Zhou Qiuqiu was terrified. She didn't even care about the injury on her leg and reached out to pinch the baby's tiny beak.
"No...you can't...swear!"
Zhou Qiuqiu spoke through her pain in her haste, and the cub Dou Dou's eyes lit up, finally calming down a bit.
