The cub waddled over, its tail wagging as if it had just woken up.
He immediately snuggled into Si Qiannan's arms, burying his head in his father's fur and kneading him. Before long, he fell asleep again in the crook of Si Qiannan's neck.
It was worth it for Si Qiannan to endure the heat and wear fleece-lined clothes.
Perhaps in the cub's dream, he and his two fathers have all become powerful cats, able to roam the city and hunt.
As Si Qiannan pondered this, he finally closed his eyes slowly.
They were all asleep.
Si Qiannan had a dream that he hadn't had in a long time.
In his dream, he also became a cat.
However, it's not that kind of cat, but a "big cat" that lives on the grasslands, as free as the wind.
Yes, he lived like a tiger.
Si Qiannan had his own territory, but he was a lone tiger with no wife or children, and his territory wasn't very big. He would patrol it every day and go out hunting, and his days passed by one by one.
Until one day, while hunting, he encountered a fragile little creature.
He was too small for the tiger, and Si Qiannan didn't even notice him, almost stomping him to death with one paw.
He heard a faint rustling sound hidden in the grass, which is why Si Qiannan lowered his head, hunched his nose, and revealed a creature that shouldn't have been there.
A real orange tabby cat.
Si Qiannan was hunting. He opened his mouth and gestured to indicate the size of the cat. He realized that the cat's meat was not even big enough to fill his teeth. He was too lazy to chew such a small amount of meat.
So he temporarily abandoned the cub and went to hunt a wildebeest instead.
Si Qiannan was enjoying his meal when the cat started meowing again, its meowing irritating him.
Si Qiannan twitched his ears, not really wanting to listen, but the little guy seemed to have followed the sound and come over. Si Qiannan perked up his ears, thinking the little guy was coming to steal his food, but to his surprise, the little guy came running over and came straight at him.
A small, orange creature snuggled up to the orange cat's thigh.
"Meow--!"
Si Qiannan stared blankly at the little thing he could easily kill with a single swipe of his paw:
What was he calling out to himself?
How come she's not afraid of him at all?
Mingming Si Qiannan had just wanted to eat him.
Si Qiannan was eating when he swallowed a mouthful of blood, and a buzzing sound came from his chest. But a tiger's purr is much louder than a cat's, with a deep, 360-degree surround sound that can be heard from five kilometers away.
As Si Qiannan purred, the kitten also purred softly, following its owner's lead, and began to knead its pink paws on the tiger's thigh.
Si Qiannan, with a piece of meat in his mouth, lowered his head in disbelief.
The piece of meat was still dripping with blood, and each drop landed directly on the cub's head, causing the cub's head to twitch.
Even so, the cub was still acting cute towards Si Qiannan.
So Si Qiannan put down the meat, carefully picked up the cat with his mouth, placed it between his front paws, and diligently licked its fur to check it.
Oh my god.
Si Qiannan thought to himself as he licked it.
How could there be such a malnourished tiger cub? It must be premature. No wonder its parents abandoned it.
Seeing the similar markings on the cat's body to his own, and its similar appearance, Si Qiannan naturally assumed that the cub was also a little tiger.
It was just a pitiful tiger, abandoned by its parents.
However, the little guy now seems to have regarded Si Qiannan as his parent, turning over under Si Qiannan's tongue and exposing his belly and vital parts to Si Qiannan's claws and fangs.
However, the claws of wild beasts can be used for hunting, or they can be used to love one's family.
Si Qiannan gently licked the kitten's entire body a few times. The kitten was now naturally covered in his scent.
He had already obediently nestled in Si Qiannan's arms, wanting to act cute and get more affection from his parents.
Si Qiannan didn't say she would take care of him, but she fed the cat some chewed meat.
The kitten smelled the aroma of food and tried to tear at the raw meat in its father's mouth. However, the raw meat was too hard, and the kitten's bite force was too weak. Even after pulling its head, the kitten couldn't tear off a single bit of the meat from its father's mouth.
Si Qiannan:......
The tiger glanced helplessly at the cub, resisted its instinct to swallow the meat, and used its teeth to stir-fry the meat again, feeding the cub tiny bits of meat into its mouth.
The cub looked up, and the tiger naturally licked the cub's muzzle. In a free land filled with bloodshed and wildness, there was such a tender moment.
Si Qiannan only fed the cub a little bit of food, and the cub's belly swelled up.
Soon, the cubs could no longer eat.
Looking at the food that was less than a bite of his own, Si Qiannan immediately understood the hardship of raising a child.
They can't eat much; they're practically at the bottom of the food chain, the most despised creatures on the grasslands.
Even herbivores can eat a whole patch of grass bare!
Si Qiannan looked at the cub with even more worry, his amber vertical pupils filled with concern.
He mistook the cub for a newborn tiger cub, an incredibly fragile little ball of fur, whose mother had not raised him at all, and he had been forced to appear here.
Just as the cubs started licking their father's fur, Si Qiannan felt a pang of pity.
He took the cub back to his territory.
Si Qiannan immediately took on the role of a mother tiger with her cubs, finding a secluded spot to put them down. The cubs tentatively circled their father's arms with their cat-like steps, then felt safe there.
So the cat snuggled back into its father's arms.
It even subconsciously buried itself in the tiger's furry chest.
Even though he couldn't find a place where his parents would nurse him, the cub still instinctively buried himself in his father's fur, sucking on a small piece of skin.
She fell asleep just like that.
Looking at the cub's pink and delicate paws and belly, Si Qiannan felt a rare ripple of emotion in her heart.
Such tender claws are definitely not fully grown yet. Compared to his thick claw pads, he might even get injured while climbing.
So Si Qiannan loosened the surrounding grass and kept the cub in his arms, almost never letting it touch the ground.
Even her nose and lips are pink...
The same goes for the lower belly.
Si Qiannan couldn't resist taking another lick, feeling as if she had sucked on a mouthful of caramel cream pudding.
Sigh, what a lousy meal.
Si Qiannan put in a lot of effort to raise her cub to a little size.
He would take his cubs hunting every day, and after hunting, he would take them home for meals. He would meticulously lick the cubs' fur every day and sniff their bellies to check their size.
At least it's not such a fragile little thing anymore.
It's a little bigger and fleshier than before, but its legs are still short, its bite force is still weak, and its paws are still immature.
What used to be able to hold in Si Qiannan's mouth has now become being gently picked up with the tips of her teeth.
However, Si Qiannan never lets the cubs stray too far from him.
The child went from walking unsteadily to being able to climb up and down on his father's body with agility, like a parkour performer.
