That evening, the cub was rushed to the hospital.
The child, clutching his teeth, whimpered and huddled in his father's arms, crying. Without exception, all the members of the Si family who had come along were scolded by the doctor.
The child's tooth hurt. Even after the dentist pulled out his baby tooth, he still felt pain. He also saw a lot of blood coming out of his mouth, so he immediately wanted his father to hold him.
It was indeed very uncomfortable after the anesthesia wore off, but even now, the cub has tears in its eyes but hasn't cried; it just holds its father's hand with unusual firmness.
"Dad, I'm going to die."
Si Qiannan was deeply shocked.
Because the cub was announcing the news as if making a vow, he looked too solemn and too determined.
When the cub said those words, there was absolutely no panic like a child would.
At an age when he had no idea what death meant, he spoke so easily about such a heavy and terrifying topic, as if he had already been through countless battles with death.
Si Qiannan suddenly hugged the cub tightly, his eyes red, like an angry lion:
"No!!! You won't die! Daddy will save you! Daddy won't let you die!"
Si Qiannan immediately arranged for all the hospital's experts to come for a consultation.
But when the doctors examined the cub, they found that apart from a tooth that had been damaged, there was nothing wrong with its body.
They glanced at the father who was tightly holding the child, then turned to speak with the child's grandfather:
“It’s not a good thing for a new father to be too anxious. We suspect Mr. Si already has mild separation anxiety. Parents who are overly anxious about their children often exhibit similar symptoms. However, this is more common in mothers than fathers. It might be because Mr. Si is a single father…”
"We still suggest that you take him for psychological intervention as soon as possible, otherwise it will not be good for the father and the child, and it will affect the child's growth."
Si Yeguang looked at his son, who was holding the child tightly, and felt a mix of emotions for the first time.
His son was no longer like him. Si Qiannan had an incredibly deep connection with his cub, a bond that was unbreakable, like blood ties still connecting.
It was the kind of affection Si Yeguang had longed for with his son.
Si Yeguang smiled, feeling a little gratified, but through the cub, he saw the time he spent with Si Qiannan when they were children.
How could Si Yeguang not love his child?
“Yuzhu, look, our child has feelings now, he can cry and laugh…Yuzhu…”
Si Yeguang lowered his head, seemingly missing his deceased lover.
The baby had already prepared himself for leaving, his little face was tense, afraid that he would cry out and make his father sad. But he waited for a long time, until his father hugged him until it hurt a little, and then he opened his eyes again and saw the hospital lights.
Am I not dead yet?
The cub murmured to itself.
Shi Qianxi reappeared at some point. He gently stroked his child's forehead, and the cool touch made the crying cub squint its eyes.
"You won't die, you won't die... Baby, how about Daddy turns you into a ghost? Baby, you can't leave Daddy anymore."
Upon hearing this, Si Qiannan suddenly shouted:
"No! I disagree!"
Si Qiannan didn't know whether to think about whether his child was going to die or become a ghost. He instinctively shouted out, but his younger siblings rushed over and grabbed his hands and feet, forcibly separating him from his child.
His younger siblings even took advantage of the chaos to retaliate against him several times.
Until this group of people tied him up and took him to see a psychologist.
Si Qiannan struggled fiercely. He turned his head and saw that Shi Qianxi was standing in the middle of the crowd, but no one paid attention to her. His hand had once again reached the top of the child's head.
Si Qiannan then realized that he wasn't crazy at all, and that there were some things that even he, Si Qiannan, couldn't stop, no matter how powerful he was.
"Don't...don't hurt him, Shi Qianxi, I'm begging you."
Shi Qianxi tilted her head, revealing a profile without any expression.
His black hair lay smoothly against his face, and the mole at the corner of his mouth made his face look pale and melancholy, devoid of any color.
The last thing Si Qiannan saw was his indifferent eyes.
Si Qiannan even began to suspect that Shi Qianxi's expressions of love for the cubs were all an act.
Because he doesn't seem like a human being with any emotions.
But, isn't Si Qiannan himself the same?
Before Si Qiannan could stop it, the cub was placed in Shi Qianxi's arms, and the next second, they were teleported back to the cub's and Shi Qianxi's home.
The cub was initially turning its head to look at Si Qiannan, but after noticing the change in its surroundings, it had no choice but to turn its head back to look at its father.
The main system had just given him a good talking-to in his head, telling the kid he wouldn't die, he'd just lost a tooth.
The cub bit its gums, looking as if it was deliberately puffing out one cheek, appearing somewhat angry.
Shi Qianxi looked at the child:
"Are you angry, kid? You don't want Daddy to take you home?"
The cub pounced on him, burying its face in Shi Qianxi's arms again. He shook his head.
"No, I'm angry."
After discovering he was missing a tooth, the cub's speech became slurred, so he could only explain with a stern face and sparing words.
"Si... hiss, Daddy..."
Shi Qianxi knelt down in front of the child, revealing a gloomy smile:
"Let's go home and not think about anyone else for now, okay? I haven't spent time with my little one in so long."
The cub could only nod; it had been a long time since he had lived with Shi Qianxi.
