The kitten passed through and found itself seemingly inside another kitten.
The kitten was certain it wasn't an orange kitten anymore because it looked down at its chest and front legs, where the orange stripes had turned into a blanket of white, and even resembled long, furry socks.
However, its legs are too short, even shorter than the previous orange cat's.
The cub raised one of its paws, trying to lick it, but because its short paw was a distance from its head, the cub tried for a long time but only managed to lick the air.
Just then, he heard footsteps in front of him, and a man picked up the basket containing the kitten and squinted to look inside.
"So cute, his eyes are so beautiful..."
"But will the young master really like it?"
The person in front of me was Wen Sheng when he was young. He was the son of the Si family's driver from a young age and was sent to a prestigious school to accompany Si Qiannan.
This happened to be an unforgettable childhood memory for Si Qiannan. After his mother died, Si Yeguang argued with him and called Si Qiannan a monster without human emotions, who didn't even shed a tear when his beloved mother died.
Although the father and son were arguing so fiercely, after the argument, whether it was to mock him or because he still held a sliver of hope, Si Yeguang relented and asked Wensheng to buy a small animal for Si Qiannan to raise.
Small animals are most likely to evoke people's sympathy.
Hearing Wensheng question the cub's alluring power, a nearby shop assistant couldn't help but loudly retort:
"This is the best-looking, best-tempered, and cutest little cat king we have here!"
"If you hadn't offered so much money, our boss would never have sold it to you. This was originally a baby he wanted to keep for himself; he raised it like his own child!"
"If you buy him, then you must treat him well. Even if you are rich, we will never do something like selling a cat for personal gain!"
Wensheng: ...
Wensheng: "I know. If the young master doesn't like it, I will send him back. The money will not be refunded, and we will not hurt him."
Although this family is acting strangely, and they said they were buying it for their young master, the boy who came to negotiate seemed quite responsible, at least not a bad guy who abuses cats.
So the shop assistant squatted down and said to the cat:
"Baby, your new mommy and daddy are coming to take you to your new home~ Be good, okay? If you're not doing well, the shop owner will take you back to your mommy's house. Don't be afraid~"
The kitten seemed to understand human speech, tilting its head attentively to listen to the shop assistant, and finally meowed, which sounded like an "okay" reply.
Then the shop assistant handed the cat to Wensheng. Under the shop assistant's expectant gaze, Wensheng could only say in a low voice:
"Uh, Mimi, hello, I'm here to take you to your new home."
Meow~~
When the little guy saw Wensheng, it was like seeing a relative. He immediately called out in a very sweet voice that could melt anyone's heart.
Moreover, the little guy couldn't wait to escape and rubbed his head against Wensheng's hand.
The cat needs to be quite affectionate to successfully adopt the little person it likes!
The kitten remembered this rule by heart and tried his best to pretend for five minutes, hoping to enjoy wealth and honor for fifteen years.
Seeing that the kittens had all rolled over, Wensheng looked completely helpless. It was only when a shop assistant next to him called out to him:
"Hurry up and touch him!! Go ahead and touch him!!!"
After Wensheng rubbed its belly, the cat seemed to become attached to him. It took a step, as if it wanted to jump onto Wensheng, but because its legs were too short, the cat incredulously landed headfirst on Wensheng's thigh. Just as it was about to slide down, Wensheng reached out and caught it.
Wensheng initially thought the cat's blue eyes weren't particularly beautiful, and that it was too intelligent, like blue glass gems that could see through people's hearts. But just now, when the silly little cat landed face down and sprawled out, he realized he was overthinking it.
This cat probably fooled humans with its stunning appearance.
But in reality, it's just an innocent, silly cat who unconditionally trusts humans.
Wensheng picked him up, carrying the cat carrier and a bunch of kitten supplies home.
Once in the car, he intended to put the cat back in its carrier, but the kitten seemed to dislike the cramped space and insisted on sitting in the passenger seat, leaning against the seat. Seeing this, Wensheng had no choice but to fasten its seatbelt.
But he was too small, looking like a fluffy white ball. After being pressed down, he was only a tiny bit. Just then, Si Yeguang, who was at home, suddenly had the urge to see the little animal that Wensheng had brought back. He could only see a tiny, deflated cat through the car window, which looked like a feather.
"It's too small."
Si Yeguang frowned almost imperceptibly.
Until the cub turned its head and meowed at Si Yeguang with even greater enthusiasm.
grandfather!
Wensheng got out of the car with the cat, and the cat jumped out of Wensheng's hands and ran towards his grandfather.
But to humans, that clump of cats on the ground looks just like a short, round cat worm, slowly moving along the ground in a furry manner.
Si Yeguang looked down as the cub ran to him with great effort and began attacking his slippers.
If cats could talk, they would definitely huff and puff as they explained to their clueless, straight-laced male family members:
The cat wasn't attacking the slippers; it was trying to invite Grandpa to play.
Watching the cat gnaw and scratch at his slippers, but not even damaging a single hair, the kitten slowly turned its back and plopped down on Si Yeguang's slippers.
Si Yeguang's tense expression finally softened a little.
