Chapter 48 A Cluster of Fresh Snow

The cub heard the system's voice, and although it didn't quite understand, it was sensitive to the system's malice. In addition, the cub didn't remember the system's existence, so it was immediately frightened and cried.

The cubs, suffering from various special illnesses, cried quietly and silently, shedding tears, just like Qianyuan when she was sick in her first life, because of their anxiety.

He's back to being that cub afraid of being abandoned.

It wasn't until Nosius's clothes became wet that he realized the cub in his arms was crying silently.

Nosius's face immediately darkened: "You've frightened the cubs."

All the angels immediately fell silent, watching Nosius wipe away the cub's tears.

It was so tiny, not even the size of a palm. Nosius had used enough force, gently rubbing Chien's face with his fingertips, but he still accidentally poked the little guy and made him fall over.

The little guy stared blankly for a while, thinking he was being rejected again, so he tried to pull on the sash on Nosius's clothes to slide down the slide and leave quietly by himself.

Nosius grabbed the cub's little wings and brought the escaped little guy back.

He looked at the baby's face, which was red from being pressed, thought for a moment, then plucked a feather from his black wing and continued to wipe the baby's tears.

The baby finally squinted its eyes and showed a comfortable expression as it was rubbed by soft feathers.

Like a kitten whose chin has been scratched, it tilts its head back with a very satisfied look.

Seeing this, Nosius couldn't help but feel a renewed urge to destroy.

But Nosius, who was practicing asceticism every day, did not understand that this emotion was something that everyone would feel when they saw something lovely.

So cute I want to destroy him, I want to make him cry.

Before the cub could see Nosius's gaze growing increasingly deep, he was almost knocked unconscious in Nosius's arms by the feathers, turning into a puddle of cub biscuits. The little guy kicked his soft white feet in a blissful state, looking like he was about to fall asleep.

Nosius immediately summoned a cloud, broke off a small piece from it, and shaped it into a simple cradle to put Qianyuan inside.

But as soon as the child left his palm, it immediately opened its eyes and looked at him uneasily.

The cub clung to the cradle, stretched out its hand, and hugged Nosius's little finger, its misty eyes looking like it was about to cry its heart out.

Nosius could only take the person back into his hands.

But simply holding him wasn't enough for the little guy. He struggled to climb up on his own, flapping his still-developing and unusable little wings until he finally reached Nosius's shoulder.

He rubbed against it for a while, finally choosing the nape of Nosius's neck, where he could feel Nosius's warmth, Nosius's blood, and Nosius's aura.

The little creature curled itself up into a small ball, hugging its wings, like a small clump of soft, white snowflakes, carrying a negligible weight, and nestled obediently on Nosius's neck.

Because they were so close, Nosius could feel the warmth and softness, and hear the little guy's soft snores.

"..."

A moment of silence followed; the angels who had been observing remained silent.

But they didn't even realize that as they stared at the sleeping cub, they even softened their breathing.

A group of angels, devoid of desires, were so focused on watching a cub throw a tantrum and go to sleep, that even the long hours of training seemed to fly by.

“This cub is far too fragile,” an angel finally spoke up. “I’m afraid he won’t be able to eat the food we prepared.”

“Yes, let’s go out again and find some food for the cubs.”

This time, the cold and austere angels practically ransacked the entire continent, causing chaos and disorder among all the continental races.

They brought food for infants under one year old from almost all ethnic groups, mostly formula, and some complementary foods that could be ground into powder or juice.

The angels returned satisfied, and the peoples of the continent now fully understood that the angels had recently taken in an incomparably precious cub.

Fragile, vulnerable, and the cubs haven't even grown their milk teeth yet.

"Could he be the son of God?"

They all speculated and were incredibly curious about the existence of the mysterious cub.

Qianyuan was unaware that while he was sleeping, his family had stirred up a bloodbath across the world. He simply felt that he had slept very peacefully and that his dependence on Nosius had become even stronger.

"woke up?"

Nosius noticed the cubs awakening immediately.

Qianyuan sat up groggily, rubbed her eyes, and immediately reached out to touch Nosius's neck. Then she leaned in and rubbed her face against Nosius's.

Only when their skin touched did Qianyuan feel a little bit of the emptiness and unease in her heart.

Nosius felt a tingling sensation on his scalp from the cub's soft skin rubbing against him, but he hesitated for a long time before letting the cub stay close to his neck.

But when the other angels approached, the cub was so frightened that it quickly curled up into a ball, trembling and turning its back to the outside world.

It's not like it's a little turtle that turned into a tortoise. Did it think that no one could see it when it retracted into its shell?

Nosius did not immediately correct the little guy's habit; he watched the scene in silence.

He didn't know how much psychological trauma the cub had suffered to be like this; he just felt his long-suppressed bloodlust surge up whenever he saw the cub like this.

"Nosius, the cubs' food has arrived."

Nosius snapped out of his daze and reached out to pull the little guy off his neck.

Because she was so nervous, Qianyuan even pulled out a strand of Nosius's hair, and couldn't bear to throw it away, so she held it in her hand, which Nosius easily noticed.

Angels' hair, skin, and wings are incredibly sensitive and imbued with divine power, yet Nosius's tolerance for cubs is exceptionally high. When he saw the black hair in Qianyuan's hand, he simply said:
