Chapter 56 What Flavor Does the Kid Like?

Nosius silently gestured a challenge to Victor. How could Victor possibly refuse? He had the guts to steal the cub, and he had the guts to face Nosius's wrath.

Victor and the other angels gathered in the open space. He looked at Nosius with a smile and said, "Archangel, with such a narrow mind, controlling and restraining your offspring, can you still be called a model of asceticism?"

Nosius summoned his longsword and, expressionless, addressed the angels: "Your selfish desires deserve punishment."

But everyone knows perfectly well who has ulterior motives.

The cub had been wandering around outside all day and was so tired that it fell fast asleep, completely unaware of the sword fight that had taken place outside all night.

When the cub woke up in the morning, Nosius had already been replaced by the person beside him.

Qianyuan thought she was dreaming. Her eyes were wide open. She went up to Nosius and sniffed him like a puppy. She even climbed on Nosius and did parkour.

Nosius was quite tired after last night's battle, even though he had won. He closed his eyes and pretended to sleep, letting the little guy climb all over him.

But not hearing the familiar voice, the little guy was still worried. He silently slid down, wanting to lift Nosius's eyelids.

Nosius pressed the little guy down: "Let me rest for a while."

But the fully charged cub was incredibly energetic. Qianyuan stared at Nosius's sleeping face, but only lay there obediently for half a minute before shrinking out from under Nosius's large hand.

Qianyuan looked around, then braided Nosius's braids, which were about to come undone, and set her sights on Nosius's wings again.

Although he doesn't have a dog mount in this life, he does have super luxurious wings.

So the boy first took a comb and brushed Nosius's fur, and then took out the little medal that Victor had bought for him at the market yesterday.

The pink and shiny medals were printed all over Nosius's imposing black wings, turning Nosius's holy wings into a gaudy, fluttering moth.

Nosius in his sleep: ?

He knew the cub was fiddling with its wings, but the previous cubs didn't have any tools to do bad things.

But now, with the help of the cubs, Victor has turned the tables.

Upon waking, Nosius looked at his wings, which were now much heavier and more ornate: ...

Where did you get these things?

The cub, having made a promise with Victor, covered its mouth and remained silent.

Nosius: "If you don't tell me, then I'll punish you. You naughty brat, you'll have to drink your medicine obediently from now on, without the honey. You'll also have to sleep alone, eat alone, not drink my blood, and you can't sneak off to the stream to catch fish."

The cub was struck dumb: "I am, a good cub!"

Nosius lowered his head and coaxed in a low voice, "Then tell me, what exactly have you been doing these past few days?"

As he asked the question, he watched the cub's conflicted expression, and his face gradually darkened:

Even without mentioning that, Victor's position in the cub's heart is probably more important than his own now.

Who knew the cub only hesitated for a moment before loudly confessing, "It was Victor who took me! He's a bad boy, punish him! Waaah..."

Victor, who was outside, was heartbroken: "My darling, what happened to sharing joys and sorrows? How could you betray me like this!"

The cub stopped crying; it was obvious he had heard it, but the cub simply turned away from Victor, covering its ears with its hands as if it couldn't hear.

Nosius was already furious. He was wondering what he should do if the cub sided with Victor. But to his surprise, the cub didn't play by the rules at all. In order not to be alone, it had no bottom line and directly betrayed Victor.

He paused for a moment, his pent-up frustration vanished after being overwhelmed by the boy's flurry of punches. With nowhere to vent his anger, he could only drag Victor along, and the two of them went out again.

As Victor was dragged away by Nosius, he looked at the cub with a smile: "Little one, I'm so heartbroken. You actually betrayed me..."

He switched to a sinister voice: "Baby, don't you know? If you don't keep your promise, a big tiger will sneak up and gnaw on your bottom, taking off a big chunk of flesh, and your bottom will go from round to flat... um."

"Shut your mouth." Nosius was truly enraged. He cast a spell on Victor, "Go and fix your silence spell."

Victor was unable to speak for a long time afterward.

Nosius felt that this was the only way to calm things down. These angels had been overstepping their bounds because of the restlessness of the young ones, and they should settle down and go out to cultivate themselves.

But the cubs seemed to genuinely believe Victor's words...

When they go to sleep at night, the cubs usually snuggle into Nosius's arms, face to face with him, and their heads must be pressed against Nosius's neck.

But now, the cub always turns its rear end towards Nosius.

Nosius flips the cub over, and the cub flips back over by itself.

Nosius: ?

Nosius: "Why aren't you cuddling me to sleep?"

The cub listened warily to the sounds around it, then touched its round bottom to make sure no big tiger had broken in before saying to Nosius, "I'm worried. You watch my bottom, make sure it doesn't get bitten!"

Nosius had a headache.

Although the cub is cute no matter what, Nosius didn't want to open his eyes to a round butt as soon as he did.

He told the cub that Victor was lying, but the cub still looked at him with suspicion, as if he was just trying to fool the cub.

But no matter who he approached to talk to the cub, the cub wouldn't listen.

It seems that the one who tied the knot must untie it.

Nosius could only remove the spell cast on Victor. The reason Victor was to say those words to the cub was to deceive the cub, and it worked every time.

Who knew Victor would blurt out, "Don't worry, Nosius is so fierce, what tiger would dare to come here? We're all afraid of Nosius, tsk, he's fiercer than a tiger."

The cub looked at Nosius: "If he's fiercer than a tiger, doesn't that mean Nosius might bite the cub?"

The cub thought it made a lot of sense, after all, it was also drinking Nosius's blood every day, and wasn't it also gnawing on Nosius every day?

So the next night, before going to sleep, the cub sat upright in front of Nosius, thought for a while, and solemnly stretched out its arm: "I'll give you a bite of my arm, but you can't bite me while I'm sleeping, okay?"

Nosius rubbed his forehead: "I don't eat cubs."

The cub was stunned: "Then, you have to wait until I grow up before you eat me?"

Nosius felt that the cubs, now manipulated by the other angels, were becoming increasingly difficult to raise. He could only press the cub down, tuck the soft, fragrant little cake into his arms, and use the passive silencing technique: "Sleep!"

The cub clinging to Nosius's skin could no longer utter a word and obediently closed its eyes.

But after a moment of silence, the cub whispered in Nosius's ear, "So, what kind of cub do you like to eat?"
