Chapter 61 I bow down to you, little brother.

The elf crouched down and said to the cub huddled in the corner, "Baby, there's a bed here, come here."

He carried the cub to the bed.

Qianyuan touched the soft bed, and her eyes immediately lit up.

He cupped his face in his hands and said with great admiration, "Wow, you're so amazing!"

Even if you're homeless, you can find a bed!

The way the cub looked was a perfect example of how much his little brother worshipped him.

The elf chuckled. To him, this was nothing out of the ordinary; perhaps to the cub, it was more significant than living in the palace.

When the elf bought some special treats that children love, the cub had already completely switched sides.

He clung to the big cat like a little kitten, circling its legs and constantly expressing his excitement and affection.

Upon seeing the cub, the elf hesitated for a long time before managing to restrain himself from being impolite and suppressing his urge to hug and cuddle the cub.

But when the elf offered the food to the cub, the cub immediately shook its head: "This is the food you hunted. You are injured, so you need to eat your fill."

The elf didn't really need to eat, so he leaned on the cub and made a deal with it: "I need some emotional comfort right now. Let me kiss your cheek, and you'll have a little treat, okay?"

The cub was no good at keeping accounts. He ate two snacks and was kissed enough to get his money's worth. He had no idea whether he had gained or lost out, but the elf was very satisfied.

The cub, with its long-lost rosy cheeks, was still counting how many kisses the elf had given it.

Why is there a saying that you get a reward for every kiss you give, and then another reward after that?

The cub flapped its wings and touched the itchy little bump on its head.

The elf carefully observed Qianyuan's actions. He pulled Qianyuan's hand away, examined the thing on the cub's forehead, and then used magic to check the cub's body.

“You’re still in your developmental stage, still growing… But it’s strange, I’ve never seen a cub with such a short growth period before…”

It's as if it's not growing at all, but rather restoring its original power.

After all, the growth period for elven cubs can be one or two hundred years.

Because the elves are the longest-lived race besides demons and angels.

So time seems to leave few marks on them; no matter how much time has passed, their appearance remains unchanged.

This is why the elf immediately noticed the abnormality in the cub's growth period.

"Then why does my head itch, and why do my tail and wings feel uncomfortable at night..."

The elf replied, "Because babies grow up, like us, and become big babies. The little bump on your forehead is probably where horns will grow later."

Horns? But Nosius, Vino, the elves, the king's uncle... none of them have horns.

Will the cubs turn into strange cubs?

"How big are the horns? Won't they look bad?"

Seeing that the little guy was almost crying, the elf quickly thought back. Fortunately, the elf had lived for a long time and had been to every part of the continent, so he thought of a race.

Demon race.

It was the only creature that grew sharp horns and fangs.

But the cubs are so clean, unlike those demons who are covered in the dark aura of the abyss. Apart from their similar appearance, what else is similar about them?

This is why, for so long, no one has been able to determine which race the cub belongs to.

The elf thought about it carefully and became more and more convinced that it was possible.

But when he looked down again, he met the cub's pitiful and bewildered gaze...

The little guy got tired and snuggled up to his arm to sleep.

He's a simple, innocent boy who has never hurt or hated anyone. Even though life has been tough, his eyes are still filled with love and beauty.

The elf closed his eyes and rubbed his forehead: Is he really that old? How could he be so mistaken?

Impossible, the cub is definitely not an abyssal monster!

Even if it is, destroying the demon race will change that!

The elf stretched out his arm, and the cub immediately hugged him and nestled against his chest.

It made his chest feel warm and cozy.

The little guy is like a walking hot water bottle.

With Qianyuan leaning against him, even the elf felt that the wound that had been aching was getting better.

He didn't notice that the tip of the cub's little tail, that heart-shaped tail, had just flashed with a bright white light.

The elf felt he had slept so well that he almost forgot to be wary of the dangers outside.

Fortunately, nothing happened overnight.

Just as the elf left with her cub, a figure arrived at the small inn.

Black hair, honey-colored skin, and an asymmetrical horn on his forehead.

His body was covered with various patterns of indeterminate meaning, and a golden line ran across the bridge of his nose.

But in addition to his mystery, the aura of the abyss emanating from him was incredibly profound, to the point that others couldn't even look up at his face.

The man reached out and probed for a while, vaguely sensing a familiar aura. He asked the innkeeper, "Who checked in just now? Did they see an egg?"

Those vertical pupils, almost indistinguishable from those of a wild beast, scrutinized the half-human, half-demon boss before him, discerning his heartbeat, the speed of his blood flow, and distinguishing his fear, unease, and lies...

"No...no eggs..."

The boss was still wondering why he had attracted monsters when he was looking for clues provided by the Angels. Besides, he hadn't seen any eggs appear.

The demon frowned almost imperceptibly. He knew the innkeeper wasn't lying, but adhering to the principle of "better to kill the innocent than let the guilty go free," he decided to completely shred the roof off the inn.

Just as the demons were about to make their move, Nosius and his group finally arrived.

"Nosius, a thousand years have passed. Now you appear before me, do you wish to start a war?"

Nosius stood on the opposite side of the demon race, and the two clearly loathed each other to the extreme, with battle about to break out.

“Vanti…”

Nosius coldly called out the monster's name and waved his hand to protect the inn.

Fanti naturally followed suit and attacked at the same time. The two attacks clashed and almost blew the place up.

Nosius hadn't seen the cub for ten whole days; his divine heart was nearly breaking, and he had no interest in chatting with the stumbling block.

"Get out of my way. If you hurt anyone in the inn, I'll eliminate you."

Upon hearing this, Fanti narrowed her eyes: "You're also looking for someone? Coincidentally, I also need someone to provide some information..."

“If the person you’re looking for knows the whereabouts of the Demon Egg, then I can spare his life… otherwise, I’ll kill him.”

How could Nosius possibly allow Vanti to harm the cubs?

He raised his sword: "Fine, then I'll take care of you first."

The innkeeper, unable to afford to entertain these two enormous figures, hurriedly shouted, "That person has already left!!! He's not here!"

Where?

For the first time, Nosius and Vatican were so in sync, asking the same question in unison.

Innkeeper: "Hmm...it seems to be to the east..."

Before he could finish speaking, a dark shadow flashed, and the area in front of him was already empty.

Nosius and Vanti caught up with them as fast as they could.
