Chapter 73 Fatherly Love is Like a Landslide

The cub wasn't used to its new body yet, and in its anxiety, its speech was a bit mumbled: "No... pfft, it's not..."

The older brother didn't understand what the baby was trying to say, so he picked the baby up on his own, as if he were holding a soft little hot water bottle in his hand, and then took the bottle from the butler and put it into the baby's mouth.

Luckily, the kid was hungry too, otherwise he would have really started grumbling.

The older brother held the baby's soft belly, letting the baby tilt its head back to drink milk, unable to even turn over.

He was only satisfied when he was sure that his belly was bulging and he could hear the gurgling sound of water coming from inside when he shook it near his ear.

But while his actions won't harm the monster, they will harm the cub.

As expected, the cub vomited after being shaken.

The eldest brother's seemingly meticulously styled hair was covered in vomit.

The more presentable he looked, the more disheveled he appeared at that moment.

What a joke! These three S-class bosses from a horror game, who could strike fear into the hearts of humans with a flick of their fingers, are now facing the greatest pressure of their lives, fearing that they might accidentally raise such a tiny human infant to death.

The eldest brother shed a tear of bitterness.

"I'll do it."

Seeing that his eldest brother was too busy, Dad took the initiative to hug Qianyuan.

The scent of sandalwood on his father helped the cub feel a little better. He leaned listlessly against his father's chest; compared to his father, who was over two meters tall, the cub was so small in his arms that he was almost invisible.

However, although this monster with its exaggerated proportions and bizarre appearance was terrifying, its movements were much gentler than its older brother's, which even made Qianyuan feel a sense of nostalgia and grievance.

The father possessed a maternal instinct filled with love and compassion.

Although the father was cold all over, he gave the baby an unparalleled sense of security. The baby looked up at the man and couldn't help but whine, "Daddy."

Newly pampered kittens will repeatedly ask themselves: Do you really like me? Will you really not abandon me? They test the waters carefully to avoid getting hurt again.

Upon hearing this, the father lowered his eyes, his pale, slender fingers unbuttoning the buttons on his clothes, then tearing open his skin, revealing flesh and blood.

Although monsters cannot nurse their cubs, they have their own unique way of feeding them. When the father hears the cubs' cries, it's like a male beast out hunting hearing its cubs' calls, trying to understand the cubs' needs.

Well, Dad doesn't understand what "acting cute" means; he just thinks the child might not be full.

There's a kind of hunger that only your dad can tell you.

The cub silently had raw meat smeared all over its face. Qianyuan was stubborn; he was always sensitive to changes in his surroundings and subconsciously observed other people's expressions. Therefore, the cub also had a strong sense of order. If the cub felt that something was inedible, then it was inedible.

The cub, mouth closed, clung blankly to a small bundle of "father," the immense shock causing it to completely freeze.

The father leaned closer to listen, then proudly held up the baby who was barely breathing and said, "Look, he's not crying anymore."

Big Brother: I won't cry anymore, it seems like I'll be gone soon.

The cub felt so helpless for the first time, but this helplessness finally gave rise to its will to survive.

With a blank expression, he stuffed his little father into his older father's body, plugged the hole, and then got off the ground on his own, struggling to find the bathroom by himself.

Seeing the sink that was taller than him, the toddler could only reach out to his father to pick him up again.

Then the cub picked up the towel next to it that was covered with simple line drawings of puppy heads.

The little dog's head looked strangely familiar...it looked exactly like Saji sticking out his tongue and panting.

"Oh...so human babies can't erase the marks on their bodies, and they have to wash their faces and hands."

"Oh, do I need to change clothes? Maid, do you have any clothes for human babies?"

The maid, whose name was simply "Maid," quickly came over carrying a pale, close-fitting leather coat. The cub didn't understand what it was, but it had never worn such clothes before.

The boy was a little confused.

The older brother quickly gave him a reassuring smile: "Put them on quickly, they were just killed and are still warm."

Kid: No, not at all.

Although the cub didn't understand, it knew from its older brother's words that this was no good thing.

The cub could only pat its own clothes and say, "Yes! Like this!"

Now the clothes the maid brought were correct: a small white shirt and black shorts. It was impossible to tell who the previous owner was, but there seemed to be some wet tear stains on them, as if they had just been taken from someone else's child.

We're doomed.

The cub thought to itself.

Their family are all wicked.

The cub looked at the Buddhist prayer beads in its father's hand, seemingly understanding their purpose.

You're accumulating merit for yourself, right?

So the little one silently prayed to Buddha while changing his clothes.

But Qianyuan still can't button her clothes.

The cub opens its arms to its father.

So Dad pulled up Qianyuan's clothes and covered her face.

Some people just agree with the strange talk.

Qianyuan could only hold two of her father's fingers in each hand and then gesture with them.

The father then realized: "The baby can't dress himself."

Qianyuan has been a child twice in his life, and now he's embarrassed. It's not that he doesn't know how to dress himself, it's just that he doesn't know how to button his clothes!

That's because the conditions didn't allow it; either the clothes were all tentacles, or they didn't have buttons.

In his previous world, he was considered a very smart kid, and everyone would praise him!

Unfortunately, the hints were given to the blind. These monsters, who don't even know how to spell the words "emotional value," haven't grasped the essence of raising children at all.

Fortunately, Qianyuan was well-behaved enough that he didn't cry or fuss even if he didn't receive praise. After getting dressed, he rubbed his eyes, looking sleepy.

So the little one had to climb over mountains and ridges to go upstairs to sleep.

To the monsters, all they saw was a cub, barely taller than their knees, running around on its short legs, its little legs tumbling and flying, looking unsteady and making them worry that it might trip and fall.

But the monsters were terrified, not because they were afraid the cubs would fall, but because they were afraid the monsters would accidentally step on the cubs.

It's so small, it's not even enough for them to step on.

So the oblivious monster guardians watched as the cub started climbing upstairs again, using both hands and feet, before realizing that Qianyuan wanted to go to her room.

But none of the monsters realized something was wrong when faced with the cubs that had switched from walking to crawling.

Crawling? Don't kittens always crawl on the ground? And sometimes they see humans and panic and crawl all over the place.

So they didn't know that the cub was actually tired from climbing and had started to give up. They just watched as the cub completely gave up, lay down on the stairs, and fell asleep.

"Do human babies sleep so well?"

The second brother was dumbfounded.

The older brother took two steps and picked up the cub that was about to roll off the cliff. Supporting the limp but still motionless body, his expression changed drastically:

"It's cold?!"
