Chapter 81 A Warm Family

The tiny cub stared at the towering mountain of cakes for a long time, just like a puppy being thrown a huge bone bigger than itself by its crazy owner, at a loss and not knowing where to start.

Is he eating the cake, or is the cake eating him?

In the end, the little guy didn't take it.

The second brother thought the cub couldn't reach it, so he kindly picked him up.

Seeing his second brother's expectant gaze, the cub reluctantly took one.

The second brother's eyebrows immediately shot up.

So the cub took another one.

The second brother didn't say anything.

Take the cubs again...

The second brother was almost laughing in anger: "Why are you looking at me like that? Take as much as you want!"

In the end, the cub took four, but because its hands were too small to hold them all, its second brother had to help it.

The second brother thought to himself, "Why don't we just have him push all the cubs back?"

But the little cub absolutely refused to accept the extra cakes, insisting on giving them to the butlers and servants nearby.

Seeing this, the second brother didn't insist. He asked the cub if he still wanted to go to the castle, but the cub acted like a nouveau riche with a million dollars in his pocket, and nervously dragged the second brother home.

This was the first time the baby had formally gathered everyone in the family. The father and the eldest brother rushed home in a panic, like poor parents who were about to miss having dinner with their family.

But what they didn't expect was that their son was calling them back for dinner.

The four of them sat on opposite sides of the dining table. Suddenly, a boy appeared, with only half his head sticking out from above the table, amidst three tall walls of people.

At this point, neither the monsters nor the cub knew about the magical item called a child chair. The father wanted to call the cub into his arms, but the cub, wanting a sense of ritual, wanted to sit alone on the side. Well, in the end, he stood on the chair and was barely as tall as his father and brothers.

The boy lovingly distributed a cake to each family member, while in front of him were freshly brought-out food and a small cake from his second brother's dungeon.

"Daddy, brother, let's eat cake!"

Like offering a treasure, the cubs share their favorite foods with their most cherished family members.

Under the burning gaze of the cub, his three family members hesitated for a moment, but still resolutely poured the cake into their mouths.

Baby: "Aaaaaah, I want to tear off the packaging!"

But Dad had already swallowed the whole cake, and even my older brother had taken a big bite off the tray.

No, not only is Dad's mouth big, but how come my eldest and second eldest brothers also swallow their food?

The older brother was also helpless. If it were raw flesh and blood, he would definitely cook it carefully like a cannibal, elegantly lighting candles and spreading out napkins to savor its deliciousness. But this human food...

What's the difference between this and asking a cat to eat durian?

It's already quite good that they didn't bury their poop in the litter box.

Seeing how well they ate the small cakes and the trays with gusto, the cubs thought, "They've already eaten them, so I won't stop them anymore."

The cub watched with anticipation as its family members ate the cake.

The cake had been swirling in Dad's stomach for ages before he finally noticed the little one's burning gaze and uttered two words, somewhat insincerely: "Delicious."

Just a little praise is enough to make the cub overjoyed.

He felt he had taken good care of his family.

He's really amazing.

"Dad, brother, can we eat together from now on?"

Once the cub asked that question, the rules were already set.

So after the three monsters swallowed the little cake, they could only sit quietly at the table and watch the cub slowly eat baby food with a spoon.

Because they eat too fast, they have to wait for the cubs.

The three monsters sat obediently, watching the cub together, and surprisingly, they even showed a hint of docility.

The cub ate very slowly, but none of the monsters got impatient.

At this moment, they are just like any other family, enjoying the precious time that family members are together.

After the cubs had finished eating, the father habitually wiped their mouths and lifted them off the chair.

The eldest brother also stood up, pulled off the tablecloth, and cleaned up the trash on the table with one click, waiting for the dungeon to refresh the tablecloth.

The whole house was filled with a strange sense of warmth.

Only the second brother remained staring at the cake box in front of him, motionless.

He inherently loathed crowds and despised those noisy, sycophantic souls. Yet, because he was born unable to experience human emotions, he could only gain the thrill of dominating others by controlling them, and then pour all of this onto his paintings.

He watched coldly as those people treated him like an honored guest, and then coldly watched as his own empire crumbled. These people stripped away their masks, and in their ugly and grotesque way, drowned him in the icy sea.

From that day on, everyone on the island was trapped in a predicament. They could never escape this place, and could only suspect, distrust, and hunt each other. No one survived.

He watched from the sea as they sacrificed their souls thousands of times.

He had never been defeated by anyone before, but at this moment, a small cake touched his heartstrings.

The cub didn't choose to please him because of who he was; it was simply because he was him, the cub's family, that the cub shared the cake with him.

Family—what a strange and ironic word.

The second brother wanted to make a mocking smile, but he couldn't manage it.

Damn it!

He got up and went back to his room. The first thing he did was to submerge himself in the water. This time he didn't use any special abilities; he just wanted to repeatedly experience the feeling of near-death and suffocation when his mind was in turmoil.
