"What?"
"Nothing." Chen Louchen pinched his brows and asked, "How is your recovery going?"
"Very good, Mr. Shen." Fu Xu lowered his eyes.
Just then, Lin Yunzhou opened the door and slapped the last blood test report on the bedside table. His pen traced the data curve with a look of relief. "We've almost collected the data. We can be discharged after two more days of rest." He was rarely without his white coat, and his gray sweater made his features less sharp. "I'll study the rest."
"Hmm, thank you for your help, Doctor Lin." Fu Xu spoke first.
Lin Yunzhou scratched his hair, feeling a little embarrassed.
He was not doing this entirely for Chen Louchen, but more out of desire and expectation for a new field. Even so, the omega still wanted to thank him, which was really unworthy.

The alpha's leather shoes rolled over the thermos, and the sound of the plastic breaking made Fu Xu shudder violently. These conversations were like ice-hardened needles, piercing Fu Xu's eardrums one after another. He thought of the cellar of the Fu family's old house, the cold metal instruments on the differentiation operating table, and the look on his father's face when he pinched the back of his neck and called him a "waste omega". A strong fear swept over him, and Fu Xu felt dizzy.

Fu Xu had already been stimulated, and his glands had not fully recovered. When stimulated by such pheromones, he felt a sharp pain in the back of his neck, and the pain felt like a thousand needles piercing his heart.
"Hey, there's an omega here?" The man turned around and saw Fu Xu. The man didn't see Lin Yunzhou from the corner, so he stretched out his hand to grab Fu Xu. Fu Xu quickly took half a step back and barely avoided him.
"You are so shameless. It's your honor to be noticed by me." The man walked forward relentlessly. Fu Xu turned pale with fright and quickly grabbed Lin Yunzhou who was standing at the door of the testing room.
"Hey, what's wrong with you?" Lin Yunzhou noticed that something was wrong with Fu Xu. He put down the report in his hand and turned around. The omega's face was as pale as paper, and there was only intense fear in his eyes.
"I..." Fu Xu's brain froze and he spoke incoherently, "He..."
"Why don't you go back first..." Before Lin Yunzhou finished speaking, he saw Fu Xu collapsed to the ground exhausted. Although the alpha did not notice Fu Xu's existence at all, the unintentional pheromones still affected Fu Xu.
Lin Yunzhou half-knelt on the ground, his arms around Fu Xu's trembling shoulders, his fingertips touched the glands on the back of his neck, which were incredibly hot. Oh no, if something happened to this omega, wouldn't Chen Louchen's only hope be gone?

Chen Louchen put out the cigarette butt, took Fu Xu and carried him back to the room, and gently placed Fu Xu on the hospital bed. Lin Yunzhou sighed and briefly recounted the scene at the stairs. He watched as Chen Louchen's face darkened little by little, a dark current rising in his eyes that always seemed aloof. His fingertips unconsciously clenched the cuffs of his suit jacket. The faint smell of pheromones from other alphas wafted through the corridor, mixed with the smell of disinfectant, adding a bit of anxiety to the already chaotic space.
Fu Xu suddenly let out a suppressed gasp, curled up his body, and held his head tightly with both hands. The flush on the back of his neck spread to his ears, and his whole body began to tremble.
Chen Louchen reached out and held Fu Xu's hand, saying softly, "I'm here, it's okay."
That was the smell of Chen Louchen. The aroma of red wine enveloped Fu Xu. It usually had a cold and oppressive feeling, but at this moment it seemed to have been crushed to pieces, like a thick velvet blanket that had been exposed to the sun in winter, covering Fu Xu's nightmare bit by bit.
"Fu Xu," Chen Louchen lowered his voice, "It's okay, I'm here." He stretched out his hand clumsily, his fingertips hovering on Fu Xu's trembling shoulders, and finally gently dropped it, slowly soothing along the curve of the spine.
