Chapter 78: Poking the Wild Boar's Den
Shen Qingqian and the others became nervous at his sudden words. They stopped what they were doing and looked around in confusion.
"Someone is coming, more than one, and there are footsteps of large animals." Sheng Ze supported himself on the ground with one hand and whispered to Shen Qingqian.
Shen Qingqian was shocked, "Could it be another Jun tribe member?"
It has been almost half a month since we last annihilated that group of Jun people. Could it be that those people are here to look for us?
"That shouldn't be it," Sheng Ze shook his head. Judging from the noises he heard, the newcomer must be being chased by some large animal. He made a quick decision and turned to the crowd, saying, "Everyone, get up the nearest tree. Don't make any noise. Hide if you can!"
Shen Qingqian didn't know how to climb trees. Just as she was trying to climb up the tree using her hands and feet, Sheng Ze grabbed her waist and jumped onto a branch.
She was stunned when Sheng Ze's words rang in her ears, "Sit here first. No matter what happens, don't come down."
After he said that, he jumped onto another tree and hid in the bushes.
Without giving it much thought, Shen Qingqian quickly hid among the dense leaves, holding onto the thick branches with both hands.
