Chapter 344 Finding the Hideout

If it were just eight people playing the beggar, Wang Dabao could have easily killed them all by himself.

However, the situation was different; Xiao Su was still in the hands of the other party.

Moreover, it was uncertain how many women and children like Xiao Su had been abducted by the other party. In order to prevent this group from harming innocent people and to prevent them from scattering and escaping, and also because they were members of the security department on a training exercise, this night raid on Zhangcheng Commune by more than 20 people was organized.

The group followed Xiaoming silently around the village and arrived near a courtyard at the west end of the village.

Xiao Ming pointed to the courtyard. Wang Dabao and the others glanced at it and saw that it was just an earthen house, a few hundred meters away from the village and quite a distance from the commune, sitting alone outside the village.

It's almost 2:30 a.m., which is when people are sleeping the most soundly.

However, Wang Dabao was worried that since the group kept dogs in the yard, so many people going there would definitely cause a commotion. If the group were awakened, they might take hostages, turning the initiative into a passive situation, which would be very troublesome.

Wang Dabao zoomed in a little closer and gestured for everyone to stay put.

He then pulled out his weapon, checked it, and took the lead in sneaking into the yard.

This action terrified Feng Biao and Zheng Jun.

They weren't worried about Wang Dabao's marksmanship, which was absolutely top-notch, but what if there was an ambush in the courtyard? Wouldn't that put Wang Dabao in danger?

Before they could react, Wang Dabao had already approached the courtyard.

Wang Dabao's movements were extremely agile and cautious. Everyone saw a dark figure approach the courtyard wall without making a sound.

For the next few minutes, the dark figure leaned against the courtyard wall, as if adjusting its breathing or listening to the sounds in the courtyard, maintaining the same posture.

Everyone who was paying attention to Wang Dabao held their breath and stared intently.

A few minutes later, a very slight noise came from Wang Dabao's side, which seemed to be a call from the mouth. It was low and deep, and if you didn't listen carefully, you would definitely think it was the call of a small animal at night.

After a while, Wang Dabao made a sound again, testing the reaction in the courtyard.

After three attempts, confirming there were no guard dogs in the yard, Wang Dabao finally breathed a sigh of relief. Straightening up, he gripped the earthen wall, and with a leap, flipped into the yard, landing gracefully without making a sound.

Wang Dabao received professional reconnaissance training in the army, so he was able to follow this procedure smoothly.

If there were dogs in the yard, they would definitely have responded when he made a sound.

Looking around, it was just an ordinary farmhouse courtyard, with three mud-brick houses on the north side and two side rooms on the east and west sides.

At this moment, smoke was coming out of the roofs of the east and west rooms and the east wing room on the north side, which clearly indicated that there were people inside and that they were using stoves for heating.

Wang Dabao moved toward the door, but in that instant his nerves tightened and his calf was stopped by a thin wire with a bell hanging from one end.

Wang Dabao's pupils contracted, and he realized he had found the right place. What kind of decent family would put up a wire and a bell at their door in the middle of the night as a warning?

Insert your finger into the bell, then remove the wire and quietly open the door.

At this moment, Feng Biao, Zheng Jun, and others had already arrived at the door.

With a few hand gestures, the team members dispersed, weapons in hand.

Wang Dabao led several men into the hall and blocked the entrances to the east and west rooms. Zheng Jun guarded the east wing, while the other team members were scattered in the courtyard and guarded the main gate.

A moment later, Wang Dabao, Zheng Jun, and the team members guarding the door of the west room all looked at Feng Biao, who was standing outside the main room.

The three nodded to Feng Biao at the same time. Upon seeing this, Feng Biao slowly raised his hand and then brought it down heavily.

With a series of loud cracking sounds, all the doors to the north room and the east and west wing rooms were kicked open simultaneously, the bolts snapping. Wang Dabao then kicked the door and frame into the room with tremendous force.

With pistols and flashlights crisscrossing each other, Wang Dabao rushed into the house first, followed closely by three team members.

Three men were sleeping soundly on the heated kang in the east room when a door flew into the room with a loud bang.

The sudden noise startled the three of them awake. Just as they were about to make a move, Wang Dabao and the others pressed the cold muzzles of guns against their heads.

"Move, or die!"

Wang Dabao gave a low shout and poked the burly man's forehead with the muzzle of his gun, "Take your hand out."

At this moment, the man had already turned over and knelt on the kang (a heated brick bed), with his hand under the pillow. Wang Dabao guessed that there were probably knives or other weapons hidden underneath.

After the man pulled his hand out, a team member lifted the pillow and found a sharp dagger underneath.

"Bang!!!"

Wang Dabao smashed the man's forehead with the butt of his rifle, creating a gash that caused blood to flow out in a crooked stream.

The man didn't reach out to wipe it; he still glared at Wang Dabao with a fierce look in his eyes, as if he would pounce on him and tear him apart if the other man didn't have a gun.

"Put your hands behind your head and kneel down."

Even the toughest man has to obediently raise his hands above his head when faced with a gun.

Then Wang Dabao winked at several team members, "Cuff them."

"Brother, which gang are you from?"

The burly man was a little confused when he saw that Wang Dabao and the others were not wearing police uniforms but had guns in their hands, so he asked a question.

Wang Dabao ignored him completely and slammed the man down with the butt of his gun twice, leaving him covered in blood. "Did I tell you to speak? If you make another sound, I'll kill you right now. You can try if you don't believe me."

The man immediately became obedient, and his gaze towards Wang Dabao was filled with awe, unlike the hostility he had shown just moments before.

The two men remaining on the kang (a heated brick bed) were terrified by the scene, fearing that Wang Dabao and the others would shoot them.
