Chapter 50 The Unlucky Yi Zhonghai

As soon as the door of Old Yan's house opened, Yi Zhonghai rushed over in a few quick steps. Yan Bugui, who was carrying a chamber pot, saw a dark figure darting out in front of him and instinctively threw the urine away.

Even though Yi Zhonghai tried his best to dodge, he still got splashed on half of his body.

"Oh my, Lao Yi, it's you! You scared me to death!"

Yan Bugui was indeed frightened; his hand gripping the edge of the chamber pot was still trembling.

Yi Zhonghai was dumbfounded. Smelling the urine and seeing the chamber pot in Yan Bugui's hand, even a fool would know what was on him.

However, he also understood that this matter was not really Yan Bugui's fault; it was because he was too anxious. "Hey, I was just worried about the child. I saw you open the door and thought I'd go in and take a look at the child."

"Oh dear, thank you for your trouble, Lao Yi. The child's fever has just gone down a little, and he's still in bed."

As he spoke, Yan Bugui ushered Yi Zhonghai into the house.

When Yi Zhonghai saw Yan Jiekuang, his pupils couldn't help but shrink. How could he have changed so much after just one night?

Yan Jiekuang was found lying on the kang (a heated brick bed) with bruises all over his face and body, wearing only his underwear, and twisted and crooked like a dead dog.

After a long pause, Yi Zhonghai finally asked in surprise, "What's wrong with Jie Kuang?"

"Ugh, don't even mention it."

Yan Bugui reached out and took off his glasses, rubbed his face vigorously, and his eyes immediately turned red. "I don't know what happened last night, I suddenly got up in my sleep and banged my head against the wall, muttering 'Run, don't hit me.'"

"His mother and I couldn't hold him back, and as a result, the child was hit and ended up like this."

Yan Bugui kept muttering, "Old Yi, you have no idea, he was like he was possessed by a ghost back then, he was incredibly strong. If Jiefang hadn't come in time, you probably wouldn't be seeing Jie Kuang right now!"

Looking at Yan Jiekuang's half-dead state on the kang (a heated brick bed), Yi Zhonghai was secretly alarmed.

It seems I misunderstood Yan Bugui and Wang Dabao!

Yi Zhonghai was in a hurry to go home, change his clothes, and go to work. He left in a hurry after only staying for a short while.

After Yi Zhonghai's figure disappeared into the front yard, Yan Bugui quickly closed the door, let out a long breath, and his eyes were full of lingering fear.
