"Open your shrimp eyes and see who I really am!"
Ao Huang originally did not want to reveal his true form.
His dragon horns were cut off by Chen Tianwen's sword. If they had been exposed directly at the gate of Mermaid City, the news would have spread like wildfire throughout the city in no time.
Wouldn't that be incredibly embarrassing?
But Chen Tianwen was standing to the side, determined to get into Mermaid City as soon as possible.
Ao Huang gritted his teeth and prepared to transform.
A dazzling golden light emanated from Ao Huang's body as he prepared to transform.
An apologetic voice suddenly came from the side.
"Your Highness Dragon King, please forgive us. We were blind and did not recognize your greatness. We have offended you and hope you will forgive us."
Chen Tianwen looked to the side and saw that it was a large sea turtle.
The turtle emitted a burst of light and transformed into a human form.
He was a guy wearing a bright green long coat and with a full head of green hair.
Chen Tianwen thought to himself, "It's a good thing this is underwater; if it were on land..."
This guy with a full head of green hair is laughed at wherever he goes.
"Who are you?"
Ao Huang was a little surprised.
Unexpectedly, the giant sea turtle in front of me recognized my human form.
“Your Highness Dragon King, I saw you at the Mermaid King’s birthday banquet three hundred years ago.”
The sea turtle answered Ao Huang's question with utmost respect.
"Back then, His Highness the Dragon King had just advanced to the Nascent Soul stage, yet he possessed an imposing presence and extraordinary strength."
It left a deep impression on the little turtle.
This humble turtle is currently serving His Highness the Sea Emperor, guarding the gates and protecting the land.
"Upon seeing Your Highness the Dragon King, I immediately recognized your imposing presence."
"This sea turtle is quite eloquent. Ao Huang has a rather impatient temperament, and after this explanation, he couldn't just lose his temper!"
Chen Tianwen thought to himself silently.
"Since you've recognized me, then everything's fine!"
Ao Huang waved his hand, pretending not to care.
They've come to Mermaid City to kidnap Ao Yun, and Ao Huang doesn't want to cause any trouble.
He greatly restrained his temper.
"Your Highness Dragon King, why are you the only one here to celebrate the Sea Emperor's birthday? Where is Prime Minister Turtle?"
The sea turtle asked with a smile.
The Turtle Prime Minister was a distant relative of mine, and I always saw him walking around the Dragon King with great enthusiasm.
The last time I saw him, he told me that he wanted to become a real prime minister on the territory of the Ming Dynasty.
But now he is nowhere to be seen beside the Dragon King.
Even more strangely, the Dragon King was accompanied only by a dragon of negligible cultivation level. There was no sign of the Dragon King's guards or demon generals.
This forced the sea turtle to test the waters more thoroughly.
"So that Turtle Prime Minister is a distant relative of yours? This is the first time I've heard of him."
Ao Huang patiently explained.
Although, judging by his personality, he probably would have slapped the turtle across the face.
However, in order to hide his dragon horns.
Ao Huang reminded himself.
"Tolerate!"
"It's a small matter, thank you for your concern, Your Highness Dragon King."
The sea turtle continued to apologize.
"Something has happened in Yuzhou!"
Ao Huang didn't say much either.
Just now, Chen Tianwen told him in his mind that he only needed to say this one sentence and then leave.
After a moment's thought, Ao Huang understood what Chen Tianwen meant.
He casually gave the answer and walked away.
Perhaps it's best not to suppress one's true nature.
It wouldn't be good if someone found out something was wrong.
Actually, Ao Huang was simply underthinking things.
The fact that a dragon king like him, accompanied only by the back of a dragon, arrived at the mermaid king's birthday banquet was itself a very strange thing.
His feet had just left.
His unusual behavior was already evident on Ao Yun's desk.
Chen Tianwen and Ao Huang strolled leisurely down the street.
Mermaid City is indeed extraordinary.
The sea creatures that come and go are strange and varied.
These were all deep-sea creatures that Chen Tianwen had never seen before.
The ways they walk are also incredibly diverse.
Some octopus-like sea monsters only refined two legs, and the two legs they used for walking had several more legs attached to them.
It looks extremely eerie.
Some fish only transform into human form at the tail, while the head remains the same.
Why are the residents of this Mermaid City so strangely depicted?
Chen Tian asked.
"It's not strange, but although demon cultivators are powerful, in the end, if they want to attain immortality, they still have to endure the heavenly tribulation in the form of human cultivators."
It would be extremely difficult for a demon cultivator to withstand the heavenly tribulation with his own body!
The power of the Heavenly Tribulation will increase at least several times.
From this perspective, it is no exaggeration to say that the human race is the darling of Heaven.
"Our dragon race has long been abandoned by the Heavenly Dao!"
Ao Huang said with a melancholy tone.
When did this start?
Chen Tianwen searched through the Qilin clan's heritage within his mind.
The Qilin clan disappeared relatively early, and there are no records of them later being able to safely survive the Heavenly Tribulation only when they were in human form.
The Qilin clan at that time underwent tribulation using their true forms.
At that time, the Qilin clan was greatly favored by the Heavenly Dao.
Aside from the difficulty in having children, there aren't many other major problems.
Little did they expect that the difficulty in having offspring would lead to the annihilation of the Qilin clan.
"About tens of thousands of years ago."
Ao Huang thought for a moment and said, not entirely sure.
Why would Heaven make such a decision?
Chen Tianwen asked casually.
Ultimately, this was a matter for demonic beasts, and it wasn't really his concern as a human cultivator.
