Yun Shou stood on the edge of the boat, deciding to give it a try and see if there really was a king among these spiny-finned fish.
If possible, catch it and try it.
In the simulation, he tasted the King Tiger twice, but in reality, he had never tasted such a ferocious and exotic species.
He picked up a harpoon, a two-pronged fork with two points, but only the points were made of iron; the rest were made of wood.
A hemp rope is tied to the wooden handle to prevent the harpoon from slipping out of your hand. This rope is quite valuable; losing it would be equivalent to working for nothing for several days or half a month.
Yun Shou did not use a fishing net. The net he had was of poor quality. It was fine for catching a few fish, but if he caught a spiny-finned fish, which was known for its ferocity, it would definitely break and be bitten to pieces.
As the boat drew closer, Yun Shou channeled his azure energy onto the harpoon and hurled it with the force of a spear!
The heavy fork in his hand was like a light arrow being shot out, leaving a pale blue afterimage in the air, and the whistling wind stirred up barely visible ripples on the lake surface.
A first-rate martial artist's energy will completely dissipate after leaving the body three meters away. Even if Yun Shou's foundation is doubled, he still cannot increase it to four meters. However, if the energy is attached to an object, it can greatly extend its existence time.
Sizzle!
The harpoon plunged into the water and instantly pierced three spiny-finned fish, impaling them irregularly on the harpoon.
Yun Shou dragged back the harpoon with satisfaction. He hadn't thrown the harpoon many times before because it was too physically demanding, had a low hit rate, and wasn't even guaranteed to hit the target.
However, the spiny-finned fish here form a "fish-dragon dance," densely overlapping and crowding together, which naturally increases the probability of hitting them.
He took three fish, aimed at the fish tornado without specifically targeting any one of them, and threw it out with the fork again!
Two more hits.
In just over ten minutes, Yun Shou had used up some of his energy, and his small, dilapidated fishing boat was already piled with more than sixty spiny-finned fish.
"A martial artist spearing fish—what is a dimensional reduction attack? This is it!"
The thousands upon thousands of spiny-finned fish finally realized something was wrong. Through their unique means of communication, the message spread rapidly, and the tornado-shaped school of fish began to disintegrate.
It was at this moment that a dark shadow swam upwards from within the fish tornado.
Spinyfin fish are generally about half a meter long, but this shadow, by comparison, is about a meter long. Judging from its outline, it is the fish king that Yun Shou had guessed!
The king of fish is not outrageously large, at most the height of a child, but it is about ten times larger than an ordinary spiny-finned fish!
The king fish swam to the top of the tornado, and the surrounding fish immediately stabilized, re-forming the tornado shape and swirling around it.
Just then, Yun Shou pulled the rope back the three fish that had just been stuck in the hole.
Fish King: Target locked! Charge, minions!
Yun Shou was piloting the boat, and to an ordinary fish, it appeared as a distance that was slowly moving across the lake.
But the King Fish was a wise old fish, and knew that it was nothing more than a hairless monkey standing on a plank. The real opponent was the monkey on the plank. If they drove the monkey into the water, then it would be their turn to call the shots.
The king fish shook its head and wagged its tail, causing the tornadoes swirling around it to pause. The topmost group, receiving the order, began to spin and rush towards the fishing boat.
Bang bang bang!
Several fish crashed against the bottom of the boat, and one leaped out of the water, heading straight for Yun Shou. He grabbed it and smacked it several times on the head.
Clap clap clap!
"You're pretty brave. The others only dared to ram the bottom of the boat, but you came right at my face."
When the fish was thrown onto the boat, its tail twitched twice and then it stopped moving.
Yun Shou's big punch is terrifying. This is no ordinary punch; it's the punch of a first-rate martial artist. Those few slaps just now probably turned the fish's brain into mush.
Yun Shou narrowed his eyes and calibrated the king of fish.
With a light step on the hull, the force of the energy and the lightness skill propelled the body a full seven meters!
He raised the harpoon high, like Runtu who hunted the badger, his arm raised with a powerful gesture: "Have you ever seen a harpoon fall from the sky?"
Thrust out!
The lake water was forced open by the force of the harpoon's tip, without even hindering the harpoon itself. It was as if the lake water was being opened up to invite the harpoon in!
The fish king was still shaking its head and directing the fish to attack, unaware that the "monkey on the wooden board" had already jumped up.
Sizzle!
The two forked tips pierced straight through the fish's body, and the remaining impact propelled it sideways for seven or eight meters in the water, stunning three or four ordinary spiny-finned fish.
The hemp rope behind the fork handle was stretched taut.
"One shot, one kill." Yun Shou landed back on the small boat, using his lightness skill to deflect the force.
Lightness skill is also a type of martial arts. The lightness skill he is currently using, like some of his previous energy techniques, is part of the "Heavenly River Circulation" martial art.
The special energy transformed from this martial art created a synergistic effect, where 1+1 is greater than 2. Even though the fall was from a height of seven or eight meters, the final landing speed was no more than half a meter per second.
Yun Shou was quite afraid that he was falling too fast, and with the group of fish below constantly bumping against him, he might actually break his little rickety boat.
The fish king was dragged over from the fork. The entire rope was more than 30 meters long. Since it was pierced from the side of the fish king, the fish king's resistance was minimal.
Yun Shou tried to extend his energy through the hemp rope and found that the energy began to leak out uncontrollably after reaching a length of about ten meters.
Meter by meter, the rope was pulled back, and finally, with one hand, the harpoon was grabbed and the spear was inserted. The king fish, still struggling and wagging its tail, was lifted up.
The spiny-finned fish tornadoes appeared even angrier than before. Previously, they charged forward at the command of the king of fish, but now they were doing so to save the king of their kind.
