Chapter 22 The Descended Demon

【Kuye Town is less of a small town and more of a camp, responsible for developing this primeval forest in the south. The mission of all the townspeople is to expand the territory of Ningguo.】

However, this "camp" has been established for over fifty years. Elderly people have died on this land, and newborns of two or even three generations have been born here; it has indeed become a small town.

The townspeople were astonished by your appearance. When they heard you were heading deep into the jungle, they kindly advised you not to be reckless, as the jungle was teeming with poisonous creatures and its environment was unpredictable; many martial artists had died there over the years.

Even a grandmaster, whose entire body is imbued with powerful energy and completely protected, still needs to sleep; they are powerless to defend themselves even in their dreams!

You heeded the townspeople's warnings and found them quite reasonable, so you settled down in Fallen Leaf Town.

[That demonic creature in the simulation seems to only slaughter cities and sects; it shouldn't come to a small town like this.]

[In the 303rd year of the Daqing era, as a first-rate martial artist, you should be able to find a good job in town. After a year of getting along well with the villagers of Kuye Town, you have established a good relationship with them.]

Six months later, you realize that this small town is just slow to spread information. If it were Donglin City or Yangxue City, news of massacres in various places would have reached your ears by now.

[In the 304th year of Daqing, a piece of news arrived that left you completely stunned. A whole year had passed without any news, and then suddenly, something huge broke out.]

Seven Grandmasters joined forces on "Martial Heart Island" in the Martial Kingdom to slay a "demonic being" of unknown origin. The combined might of these supreme Grandmasters shook the land for miles around!

Then they were instantly killed... instantly killed... killed.

Yun Shou: "Damn!"

He jumped out of bed.

"How come another numerical monster has appeared... Is this Zhu Baowen out of control and turned into a monster?"

There were very few grandmasters throughout the entire Three Kingdoms period; they were practically the embodiment of legend, so much so that they were given the prefix "supreme".

The result was either they were instantly killed, all seven of them at once, or they were killed one by one?

The two different possibilities above don't seem to be that different.

"Fortunately, that 'otherworldly demon' only respawns at regular intervals after thirty years. As long as I keep simulating it, it will definitely be no match for me!"

[If even a Grandmaster was instantly killed, how did the information get out? Was it because that "Otherworldly Demon" didn't care about the insignificant onlookers?]

[You chose to go to a nearby city to gather information. This time, your entry into the city is safe. The Otherworldly Demons were still in the Martial Kingdom before, what are the chances that they would choose this city to massacre?]

[In "Five Wolves City," after gathering information, your worldview, already shattered by the "seven supreme beings being instantly defeated," is further destroyed.]

That otherworldly being possesses intelligence!

It even used some means to transform two of the several grandmasters watching the battle into "human demons," ordering the human demons to kill the other grandmasters.

The news of the Otherworldly Demon instantly killing a Grandmaster was spread by two of its human-demon subordinates, and it also contained the Otherworldly Demon's order: submit to it.

It demands that all martial artists, all commoners, and all of humanity—these three realms, this entire world—submit to it!

[Every day, with the cycle of the sun and moon, it demands that its territory and subordinates offer it at least a thousand human sacrifices. Through two demonic subordinates, it directly declares to the three kingdoms: "Our lord intends to establish a human-livestock ranch to raise humans as food."]

Those humans who submit to it and help it obtain its blood and sustenance will be granted "true blood" and transformed into a hybrid ancient race, qualified to serve it as their sovereign.

Yun Shou: "Why is it that every time a villain or demon appears, they have to use human blood to practice their skills and feed on humans?"

"Why can't you raise pigs? Why can't you raise cattle? Why do you have to target humans?"

He didn't understand.

[As far as you can see and hear, almost all the martial artists are outraged by the demons who call themselves the "Ancient Clan," treating humans like livestock? This is utterly morally reprehensible.]

A second-rate martial artist denounced two grandmasters as traitors, stating that if the three kingdoms were to truly join forces, they would assemble an army of millions, countless first-rate martial artists and martial arts masters, and hundreds of grandmasters.

[And no matter how powerful that otherworldly demon is, it is only one person. Add to that the two other demons, how could they possibly withstand such overwhelming force?]

Some also recalled the "Martial Saint" who had made a move in Qingcheng more than a decade ago. They were full of confidence that as long as the Martial Saint made a move, even the most powerful demon would be crushed like an insect.

The Martial Saint did not make a move.

In the short span of time, the world changes unpredictably.

The Otherworldly Demons spent three days annihilating 1.19 million of the 1.2 million troops of the Martial Kingdom. Most of those three days were spent traveling and pursuing them; the remaining 10,000 were scattered and fled.

The demon transformed a group of intelligent human-demons to establish breeding farms and manage his territory.

Many civilians and martial artists succumbed, willing to send their children to breeding farms, just to earn themselves the status of "human slaves" rather than "human animals" to be slaughtered at will.

In the 305th year of the Daqing era, the first massacre by the Otherworldly Demons began in the Qing Kingdom, while its "Demon Kingdom" emerged from the corpses of the Wu Kingdom, devouring their flesh and blood.

This is not an expansion pack for "Demon Invasion," this is a plot-driven death scene for "Demon King's Reign."

Six months later, the Qing Kingdom had largely fallen, and the Demon Kingdom bared its fangs at the remaining Ning Kingdom.

Many commoners and warriors chose to flee the Three Kingdoms period; they did not want to become slaves, much less livestock like pigs and sheep.
