With the teacher's help, Wu Youyou completed the second half of the exam.
When she handed in her exam paper, she felt completely exhausted and weak. She walked out of the exam room, looked at the sky, and let out a long sigh of relief.
He Qiangwei happened to see Wu Youyou's tired expression and felt a sense of relief. She guessed that Wu Youyou must have done poorly on the exam, which was why she looked so nervous and haggard.
She walked up to Wu Youyou, flicked her beloved long hair, crossed her arms, and looked at Wu Youyou with mocking eyes.
"You're worried, this year's college entrance exam was really difficult. Don't worry if you didn't do well. You can go to a vocational college or have your dad send you to study abroad. There are plenty of options!"
Wu Youyou stopped in her tracks, glanced sideways at He Qiangwei, and found her looking at her smugly, a slight smirk on her lips, her tone cold.
"You still have the nerve to mock me? Looks like you did well on the exam and were determined to succeed?"
"Of course, my grades are definitely good enough to get into Peking University. Tell me, when my older brother finds out that I got into Peking University but you didn't, what kind of expression will he have?"
He Qiangwei couldn't help but burst into laughter.
The mere mention of Wu Maoyan ignited a fire within Wu Youyou. In her past life, He Qiangwei betrayed her elder brother, causing his tragic death, and a flame involuntarily ignited in Wu Youyou's eyes.
Wu Youyou wanted to yell at her, but the effects of her painkillers had worn off, and a searing pain shot through her arm, causing her face to contort instantly.
"Wu Youyou, don't try to play the victim here. It makes it seem like I'm bullying you. That trick won't work on me!"
He Qiangwei arrogantly raised her chin, looking down on Wu Youyou, who was on the verge of fainting from the pain, her expression full of mockery.
Seeing Wu Youyou's pained expression from not far away, Shi Zhan felt a pang of worry and quickly ran over, pulling He Qiangwei aside and picking Wu Youyou up in his arms, heading straight for the hospital.
He Qiangwei lost her balance and fell to the ground with a thud. She glared angrily at Shi Zhan, wanting to yell at him, but was too intimidated to speak by Shi Zhan's cold gaze.
Song Shaojie, Yang Min, Liu Xiaolan, and others also happened to see this scene, and they quickly followed.
As Yang Min passed by He Qiangwei, she began to hurl insults at her.
"He Qiangwei, how dare you hurt Youyou! You're truly vicious! If anything happens to her, I won't forgive you!"
He Qiangwei stood up, frowned, and looked at Yang Min, clearly very angry.
"What's it to you?"
Liu Xiaolan pulled Yang Min away, talking as they walked.
"Let's not waste words with her, checking on Youyou is the priority!"
The group then followed Shi Zhan to the hospital.
Upon arriving at the hospital, the doctor sighed.
"I told you, you can't move your hands for a week. You used them for a whole day, no wonder they hurt."
"Doctor, give her the best medicine. She has an exam tomorrow."
The doctor glanced at Shi Zhan but didn't say anything. Instead, he focused on treating Wu Youyou.
Wu Zhenyuan was driving over from outside the school, wanting to pick up his two daughters. As soon as he got out of the car, he saw He Qiangwei running towards him crying.
Wu Zhenyuan was a little worried, thinking that He Qiangwei hadn't done well on the exam, so he quickly went over to comfort her.
"Rose, I heard from your classmates that this year's exam was very difficult. Don't blame yourself if you didn't do well, and don't be sad!"
He Qiangwei looked up at Wu Zhenyuan with her aggrieved eyes.
"Dad, I'm fine. I did okay on the test. When I came out, I saw that Youyou was in a bad mood. I thought she must not have done well on the test, so I comforted her. But suddenly her arm started to hurt. Shizhan thought I was bullying Youyou, so he pushed me to the ground and glared at me fiercely. Then he took Wu Youyou to the hospital!"
"What? Shi Zhan pushed you down? And then took Youyou to the hospital?"
"Yes! That's right, Dad!"
Wu Zhenyuan could hardly believe it. Shi Zhan was incredibly audacious. How could he possibly harm his daughter so easily? It was utterly outrageous that he would treat his own daughter like this. He looked at He Qiangwei with heartache.
"Shi Zhan is utterly ignorant of his own limitations. Do you even know which hospital Youyou was sent to?"
"It should be the South Sudan Hospital!"
Wu Zhenyuan pulled He Qiangwei aside and said,
"Let's go pick her up!"
He Qiangwei felt very uncomfortable seeing her father going to the hospital to pick up Wu Youyou. On a whim, she pretended to be sick, acting very weak and tired.
"Dad, I'm so tired. I feel like I have no energy at all. It's so hot today. I think I have heatstroke. Dad, why don't you go pick up Youyou first? I'll take a taxi home by myself. Liu Xiaolan and Yang Min went to the hospital to be with Youyou too. Dad, don't forget to thank them."
Upon hearing that so many people were going to be with Youyou, and looking at He Qiangwei in front of him, Wu Zhenyuan's heart softened.
"Forget it, let's not go, let's go home!"
He Qiangwei smiled smugly as she followed Wu Zhenyuan home.
He Qiangwei went to her room to rest as soon as she entered the room.
When Song Lan learned about Youyou's situation, she was worried and called Wu Youyou. Wu Youyou said that she was fine, that she was getting some medicine at the hospital, and that she would be back soon.
Song Lan was finally relieved.
Wu Zhenyuan was sitting on the sofa drinking tea when the doorbell rang. Wu Zhenyuan called out to Song Lan,
"Go and see who rang the doorbell."
When Song Lan arrived, she found it was a deliveryman, so she took the package from him. Seeing that it had her husband's name on it, she placed it on the coffee table in front of him.
"Your package was sent from Kyoto!"
