Chapter 112 Blood Bath

Song Shaojie cautiously searched the Xiao family's residence for anything suspicious. The Xiao family's residence was very large. He walked through a garden, crossed a corridor, and walked for a long time before he found a suspicious room. Two bodyguards were standing guard at the door of the room.

It's obvious that Han Shuzhen must be locked up there!

Song Shaojie hid somewhere, pondering how to separate them to confirm Han Shuzhen's whereabouts. He thought to himself that he could defeat the two bodyguards, but he worried that if he messed things up, he would alert them and end up getting himself killed instead of rescuing Han Shuzhen.

Just then, Xiao Ran and a seemingly older Taoist priest walked in his direction, and Song Shaojie quickly hid behind a rockery.

"Master Qingfeng, the Xiao family is currently the weakest of the four great families. In terms of wealth, we cannot compare with the other three families, nor can we compare with the other three families in terms of power. My time is running out. I want to know when our plan can be completed?"

Master Qingfeng possessed an air of otherworldly wisdom, his eyes held a smile, and his tone was slow and mysterious.

"This matter cannot be rushed. The birth charts of these two children are auspicious, and our daughter needs to immerse herself in a blood bath for a period of time before she can achieve great success!"

Xiao Ran frowned slightly, clearly impatient.

"Now that Song Shaojie has returned to Kyoto, and given the engagement with the Song family back then, shouldn't it proceed now?"

"Yes! Try your best to negotiate with the Song family on this matter. Once the marriage is agreed upon, and the blood is dripped onto the marriage certificate I wrote to confirm it, it will be equivalent to being married. Then we can quickly begin our plan, but..."

"But what?"

Xiao Ran was somewhat puzzled, and he looked nervously at Daoist Qingfeng.

"However, from now on, your and your daughter's blood bath will be replaced with human blood!"

"Human blood?"

Xiao Ran was puzzled. Why use human blood? They had always used animal blood. Why did they suddenly have to use human blood?

"Why?"

A strange light flashed in the eyes of the Taoist priest, as deep as an abyss, giving those who stared at him a chilling and sinister feeling.

Xiao Ran dared not look directly into Qingfeng Daoist's eyes. Over the years, if it weren't for Qingfeng Daoist pulling him out of hell, he wouldn't have survived to this day. Although he appeared strong on the outside, he was actually on his last legs.

Master Qingfeng noticed Xiao Ran's confusion and worry, and said with a slight smile,

"Now we must use human blood, and it must be the blood of a virgin girl. Only in this way can you perfectly fuse with a man who has no blood relation with you, and only then can the chances of success be absolutely certain."

Although Xiao Ran didn't understand why he was doing this, he trusted Qingfeng Daoist's words implicitly. He would do whatever Qingfeng Daoist said.

The two gradually walked up to Song Shaojie. Xiao Ran glanced at him casually and saw two bodyguards standing at the door of a room, as if they were looking at something.

Curious, he led the Taoist priest Qingfeng around the corner.

Song Shaojie watched the two of them head towards the direction where Han Shuzhen was suspected to be imprisoned, and breathed a sigh of relief. He was afraid that he would be discovered. He had overheard most of the conversation between Xiao Ran and the Qingfeng Taoist priest. What blood bath? What fusion? Song Shaojie couldn't understand it at first, but his intuition told him that it was not a good thing.

He continued to watch them from behind the artificial hill.

Xiao Ran walked over and asked the two bodyguards.

What are you doing standing here?

Upon seeing that it was the head of the Xiao family who had come to inquire, one of the bodyguards quickly bowed and replied.

"Sir, were we ordered by Miss to stand here and guard the people imprisoned inside?"

"Who's being held captive? Who are they?"

Xiao Ran's tone was somewhat cold, and the legs of the two bodyguards began to tremble slightly as they stammered their answers.

"It's...it's Han Shuzhen!"

Upon hearing that it was Han Shuzhen, Xiao Ran's heart skipped a beat. Han Shuzhen? Shuzhen? Could it be that she has returned?

Xiao Ran's eyes flashed with a sharp light instantly.

"Open the door!"

How could the two bodyguards disobey Xiao Ran? She was the head of the Xiao family. They would only stop her if they didn't want to live. The two bodyguards quickly opened the door.

As soon as Xiao Ran stepped into the room, he saw a young and beautiful woman. The person in front of him looked very much like his wife. Yes, it was her. She had finally returned!

"Shuzhen! Is that you?"

Han Shuzhen heard Xiao Ran's voice outside while she was in her room, and she felt an overwhelming urge to avoid seeing him. Now that Xiao Ran was standing right in front of her, a surge of emotion welled up inside her, making her chest feel suffocated and uncomfortable.

"It's me! Xiao Ran, you didn't expect that, did you? I'm still alive!"

When Xiao Ran heard Han Shuzhen call her by her name, her face instantly turned cold, and her gaze towards Han Shuzhen was devoid of any warmth.

"You've been hiding from us for the past few years, refusing to come back. How could you bear to come back now?"

“I don’t belong here. I didn’t come back here voluntarily. It was your precious puppet daughter who kidnapped me and brought me back. If you can’t stand me, release me right now. I promise I will disappear from your sight and never appear again!”

When Xiao Ran heard Han Shuzhen refer to Xiao Yiqing as a puppet daughter, her eyes involuntarily met those of the Taoist priest.

The Taoist priest understood that the woman in front of him was Xiao Ran's eldest daughter, Xiao Shuzhen, the eldest daughter of the Xiao family who had fled in panic after overhearing his and Xiao Ran's plans. The woman in front of him was far more suitable than Xiao Yiqing for his plans. If she hadn't run away back then, the plan would have been completed long ago.
