Chapter 154 Wu Qifeng is back

She sighed deeply and said to Wu Youyou with concern, "Youyou, don't worry about this. Just focus on your school."

Wu Youyou's voice carried a hint of anger: "What do you mean I don't need to care anymore?"

Wu Maoyan frowned slightly, his tone carrying a hint of reproach: "Little sister, I will handle this myself. Besides, I don't care whether he comes to see me or not. Mother is right, you don't need to worry about these things, and you shouldn't question him."

Wu Youyou felt as if a huge rock was pressing down on her heart, making her breathing become rapid.

Seeing that her older brother and mother had the same attitude, in order not to make herself even more upset, she said to them, "I have something to do, so I'll leave first. I feel more at ease with Han Shuzhen here."

“Go!” Wu Maoyan nodded.

As soon as Wu Youyou stepped out of the hospital, she saw a luxury car parked on the side of the road.

The car window rolled down, and she saw a handsome face: "Shi Zhan?"

Shi Zhan smiled at her: "Get in the car."

Wu Youyou looked around, hesitated for a moment, but still got into Shi Zhan's car.

"Where are you taking me?" Wu Youyou asked, puzzled.

Shi Zhan looked at her affectionately, but did not answer. Instead, he started the car and sped away.

Shi Zhan led her to a cemetery.

Wu Youyou was even more puzzled: "Why did you bring me here?"

Shi Zhan held a bouquet of flowers in his hands, but did not answer her. Instead, he walked straight along the path.

Despite her doubts, Wu Youyou obediently followed behind him.

Shi Zhan walked until he stopped in front of a grave. Wu Youyou's gaze fell on the tombstone, and she was surprised to find that the name on it was majestic and imposing: "Tomb of General He Nan!"

Wu Youyou stared wide-eyed at the photo on the tombstone, her imposing face inspiring her respect. A female general was buried here.

"Mom, I've come to see you. Did you miss me?" Shi Zhan knelt in front of the grave, his voice filled with bitterness.

Wu Youyou was shocked to discover that the other party was actually Shi Zhan's mother.

She stared at Shi Zhan's retreating figure, a wave of sadness washing over her.

She slowly stepped forward, gently placed her knees on the ground, and knelt before the grave.

"Auntie, I'm Wu Youyou, a friend of Shi Zhan. We've come to visit you." Wu Youyou's words were full of sincerity and warmth.

Shi Zhan turned around, his gaze falling on Wu Youyou, before he slowly spoke: "Today is the anniversary of my mother's death. I brought you to visit her. If my mother were still alive, she would definitely like you very much."

Wu Youyou's gaze fell on He Nan's photo. He Nan was smiling, as if a warm light was shining into Wu Youyou's heart.

"Auntie, you have a very outstanding son. If you are watching from heaven, you will be incredibly proud of him."

A hint of sadness appeared in Shi Zhan's eyes: "My mother was ambushed at the border and never came back."

His voice choked with emotion, and his eyes were slightly red.

"An ambush?" Wu Youyou looked surprised.

“Yes.” Shi Zhan’s eyes gleamed with determination. “So many years have passed. I was just too young and powerless back then, but now I am an adult. I will definitely find out the truth, find the murderer who killed my mother, and make him pay the price.”

Looking into Shi Zhan's angry eyes, Wu Youyou's heart stirred.

"Shi Zhan, I believe you will definitely find the murderer."

Shi Zhan looked at her with complicated emotions, silently saying to He Nan in his heart: Mom, this girl is someone I want to protect. I've already given her the Qilin pendant; you'll definitely like her, right?

After returning from the cemetery, Wu Youyou remained lost in thought. Shi Zhan's words kept echoing in her mind.

“Youyou, I’m actually quite envious of you. You can have a second chance at life and protect your family.”

Yes, family is so important to Wu Youyou.

However, the harmonious family she once believed in is now cracked. Her father's actions have disappointed her.

As night fell, Wu Youyou fell into a deep sleep. The morning sunlight streamed into the room, and she awoke as the sun rose.

Early in the morning, she received a message from Nicky Wu, saying that he had finished filming his scenes, knew about what had happened to her and her family in Kyoto, was very worried, and wanted to come and see them.

Wu Youyou felt a warmth in her heart; her long-awaited second brother was finally coming.

She replied happily, "We're waiting for you. We all miss you."

Afterwards, Wu Youyou tidied herself up and told Yang Min that they were back so she could prepare to participate in the audition for the female lead.

Yang Min finally heard Wu Youyou's message, and that very day she dragged Liu Xiaolan shopping, wanting to dress herself up nicely so she could make a good impression on the director.

Wu Youyou reconciled with her second brother and went to the hospital together to visit her eldest brother.

As she arrived at the hospital entrance, a bright red sports car sped towards her from afar and came to a steady stop in front of Wu Youyou.

A smile involuntarily crept onto her lips as she saw a familiar figure step out of the car with a gentlemanly air.

The sunlight shone on him, making him look dazzling.

He was wearing sunglasses, leaning against the car, when he casually took them off, revealing his eyes that shone like stars. He looked at Wu Youyou with a smile.

"Youyou, it's been a long time!" he said.

Wu Youyou looked at her second brother. Although he hadn't become a real star, he already had the aura of one. She couldn't help but laugh out loud, "Second brother, you really do have the look of a star now."

Wu Qifeng smiled smugly, "The director of this film praised my acting as very good!"
