Shi Zhan stood there dumbfounded, staring blankly as Wu Youyou tidied herself up as if nothing had happened, and then said something about onions causing tears.
When he saw Wu Youyou standing in front of him, a surge of anger inexplicably rose within him. Just as he was about to question her about what had happened, Wu Youyou promptly covered his mouth.
"Shi Zhan, shouldn't you be having your engagement ceremony with the eldest daughter of the Wei family right now? What brings you here to find me?"
Wu Youyou's expression was very calm, showing no signs of emotion.
Shi Zhan's mood was somewhat heavy due to the ups and downs he had just experienced.
"You...were you just acting?"
"Yes~ but seeing how worried you were, I couldn't bear it, so I just stopped pretending. I really didn't expect that you would actually give up your engagement and come to save me!"

"If you come over and eat first, I'll tell you!"
Shi Zhan glanced coldly at the table full of food, but eventually walked over and sat down opposite Wu Youyou.
Wu Youyou tactfully poured Shi Zhan a glass of red wine, then raised her own glass and complimented him.
"Come on, let's raise a glass to celebrate our talented Shi Zhan's successful elopement!"
Shi Zhan didn't say anything, picked up the wine glass in front of him, and drank it all in one gulp!
"That felt so good!"
Wu Youyou's face lit up with joy, and she continued,
"Come on, eat some vegetables first. Eating is the most important thing!"
Shi Zhan was no longer as angry as before, but he still felt frustrated. He drank a lot of alcohol, but only ate a few bites of food.
Seeing that Shi Zhan's expression wasn't as gloomy as before, Wu Youyou breathed a sigh of relief and said slowly,
"Would you believe me if I said I was really coerced by Shi Yuan to come here?"
Shi Zhan stared at her intently for a moment before softly uttering a single word.
"letter!"
"So, the fact that you were tricked into leaving the venue by your own brother is not my fault."
Shi Zhan's head was getting dizzier and his body was getting hotter.
What Wu Youyou said seemed both near and far, and she could not hear it clearly.
"What did you say? I can't hear you!"
At this moment, Wu Youyou also felt something was wrong with her, and her body became hot, but her head did not feel as dizzy as Shi Zhan's.

He tried to remain calm, picked himself up by the table, and walked towards Wu Youyou. Wu Youyou's eyes began to glaze over; she looked at Shi Zhan, her face flushed.
Shi Zhan struggled to lift Wu Youyou and carried her towards the room. He had to find a solution quickly, or the consequences would be unimaginable. After entering the room, Shi Zhan placed Wu Youyou on the bed and slumped down beside her, panting heavily.
His reason told him that he couldn't let things get out of control.
Shi Zhan forced himself to stay alert, picked up his phone, and made a call. The person on the other end seemed to be someone he trusted. Shi Zhan briefly explained the situation and then hung up.
Not long after, there was a rapid knocking at the door. Shi Zhan struggled to get up and open the door, and a figure darted into the room.
Upon seeing the scene inside, the visitor immediately understood what had happened. He quickly took out a pill and gave it to Shi Zhan, then went to the bedside and fed one to Wu Youyou as well.
Shi Yuan was happily entertaining various guests when one person was looking around, sitting here and walking there. This person was wearing a white tuxedo that perfectly accentuated his figure.
"Miss, you're really beautiful. Would you do me the honor of adding me on WeChat?"
He Qiangwei heard a middle-aged man's voice, her brows furrowed slightly, and she turned to look at him. Her pupils dilated, and it turned out to be Xiao Ran.
Didn't Wei Ziyao say that this old man already had a marriage agreement with Wu Youyou?
However, he couldn't afford to offend the person in front of him, so he responded politely.
"Thank you, but I didn't bring my phone. Sorry to bother you!"
"Hey~ Don't go! Do you know who I am? How dare you refuse me!"
Xiao Ran immediately felt embarrassed and angry, so she grabbed He Qiangwei's arm and wouldn't let her leave.
He Qiangwei winced in pain, frowning as she looked at him.
"Let go!"
"I won't let go, what can you do to me? Don't you even know that you can't possibly disrespect me, Xiao Ran!"
Just as He Qiangwei was having a headache, a calm and cool voice came to her ear.
"Let go, or I won't mind letting others see that the dignified head of the Xiao family is actually forcing a girl, and this is at the engagement banquet of the Shi and Wei families. Tell me, can you bear such consequences?"
