Chapter 30 Library Review

At this time, students are all in evening self-study.

Only Shi Zhan and Wu Youyou were studying in the quiet library.

There were only the two of them in the entire library.

Looking at the math outline that Shi Zhan handed over, Wu Youyou realized that tonight's learning content consisted mainly of basic math concepts.

She was very familiar with the basics of mathematics. She wanted to suggest changing the subject, but she was afraid that Shi Zhan would be angry, since her previous grades were really terrible.

Based on her past academic performance, she could easily tell that Shi Zhan had thoroughly investigated her academic record; otherwise, how would he have known where her weaknesses lay and created such a suitable outline?

Thinking of this, Wu Youyou looked up at Shi Zhan meaningfully and realized that under his serious appearance, he was actually quite thoughtful. No wonder he was angry because she was late. After all, he was so attentive, while she was not and had to be reminded by Song Shaojie.

Shi Zhan did put some effort into preparing for the tutoring sessions. After learning about Wu Youyou's past academic performance from the head of teaching, he returned to his dormitory and created a learning outline and plan for all courses based on Wu Youyou's situation.

She arrived at the library early, but seeing no sign of Wu Youyou, she angrily called Song Shaojie and said that if Wu Youyou didn't come, she would never have to attend tutoring again.

Youyou only realized that Shi Zhan was really concerned about her when she saw the outline in her hand. She thought about how her initial purpose was not pure. She just wanted to get closer to him, not for tutoring.

Feeling guilty for being such a jerk, Wu Youyou was immediately overcome with self-reproach.

Shi Zhan watched as she stared blankly at him, not even blinking. His expression was calm, but his tone was cold.

"Have you seen enough?"

Ah~

Wu Youyou quickly looked away and coughed lightly, feeling embarrassed.

"Sorry, I was lost in thought!"

She stopped looking at him.

Shi Zhan ignored her words and instead gestured to her to see how it went!

Wu Youyou quickly lowered her head and pretended to look at it carefully. In fact, she was indeed looking carefully. She was trying to figure out which part to delete so that Shi Zhan wouldn't suspect anything, and she also had to save his face.

Shi Zhan watched as she frowned, pondered, and sketched on the paper with her pen, and his gaze gradually softened.

Wu Youyou used her pen to selectively underline half of the math outline in her hand, then looked up into Shi Zhan's eyes. For a moment, Wu Youyou thought she was seeing things; his eyes were as gentle as the morning sun, completely devoid of the coldness and seriousness from before.

"Finished drawing?"

Shi Zhan's handsome lips moved as he spoke, leaving Wu Youyou somewhat stunned. She smiled and said...

"It's finished."

Then she carefully pushed the outline to the other side.

Shi Zhan reached out and took it, only to find that half of the outline had been crossed out.

Shi Zhan wasn't angry; in fact, he was somewhat pleased. It seemed she had been working very hard behind the scenes.

"Are you already familiar with these outlines that you crossed out?"

"Yes, I've been studying extra hard in private, and I've already mastered all the parts I crossed out."

Seeing her confident demeanor, Shi Zhan's eyes showed a hint of admiration. He spoke softly.

"We'll dedicate half the time to explanation and the other half to practice the remaining content."

"Okay, no problem!"

"Now, open your books to page twenty-one and let's begin our review."

And so, Shi Zhan explained everything to Wu Youyou very carefully, and Wu Youyou listened attentively and gave her feedback.

Shi Zhan nodded repeatedly, greatly admiring Wu Youyou's ability to absorb information.

The library clock slowly recorded the moments between Shi Zhan and Wu Youyou.

As the administrator passed by on the other side, she saw Shi Zhan and Wu Youyou looking serious and smiled with satisfaction. She also knew that on the campus website, the girl in front of her was going to compete with He Qiangwei, who ranked second in academics, next week.

Although everyone doubted that Wu Youyou would win, including the administrator, she saw how serious Wu Youyou was. Regardless of whether she won in the end, in the administrator's heart, she was an excellent child.

......

In the classroom.

He Qiangwei noticed that someone was missing from the class; it was none other than Wu Youyou.

As the class monitor, He Qiangwei naturally had to find out the reason.

She stood up and looked at Yang Min.

"Yang Min, where did Wu Youyou from your group go? Why didn't she come to evening self-study?"

Yang Min looked at He Qiangwei in confusion, then slowly stood up. She felt that she had clearly sent He Qiangwei a message to ask for leave for Wu Youyou, so why didn't He Qiangwei see it?

Yang Min frowned slightly and shouted, quite reasonably.

"Wu Youyou has taken leave. Didn't I send you a message?"

He Qiangwei had seen the message, of course. She deliberately wanted to ask about it in class. She pretended to take out her phone and glance at it, looking surprised.

"There really is news. I didn't see it just now, but you didn't explain why she took leave!"

Yang Min sighed inwardly, thinking how troublesome he was, but there was nothing she could do; after all, he was the class monitor.

She gave birth to...

"Don't tell me she's sick. I saw her jumping around like a madwoman before evening self-study!"

He Qiangwei cut off Yang Min's words before she could speak, and Yang Min could only swallow her words back.

At this moment, Liu Xiaolan stood up.

"Youyou isn't sick; she's studying at the library!"

Yang Min was taken aback and looked at Liu Xiaolan, as if to say, "Are you crazy?"

She wasn't tutoring; it was clearly a date. If they found out, she'd get a major demerit.

He Qiangwei took in Yang Min's expression and knew that Wu Youyou must be up to something in the library.

She didn't believe Wu Youyou was studying in the library. Couldn't she study in the classroom?

"What a joke! Do you think studying in the library will magically improve your grades overnight?"

"Why can't she make rapid progress? She studies in the library to concentrate so that she can outperform you in the third mock exam."

Liu Xiaolan panicked, not knowing what had gotten into her, and said such a thing. Yang Min admired Liu Xiaolan's courage for daring to say that Wu Youyou could outshine He Qiangwei in the library.

Haha~

He Qiangwei smiled. She knew Wu Youyou's level all too well.

"Given her skill level, do you think she can surpass me in such a short time?"

Perhaps out of spite, or perhaps out of trust in Wu Youyou, Liu Xiaolan answered without hesitation,

"Of course, she'll definitely outshine you!"

The classmates whispered among themselves, wondering what Wu Youyou had gone to the library to do.

"I refuse to believe that Wu Youyou can study in the library. I'm going to go check on her in a bit!"

He Qiangwei sneered inwardly.

Yang Min's eyes widened in shock. Oh no, oh no, Wu Youyou was about to be caught red-handed.

Just as Liu Xiaolan was about to retort by asking why she had the right to go and see, the vice principal arrived with the dean of studies and the homeroom teachers for an inspection.
