Chapter 130 I've Been Heartbroken (2/2)

As he spoke, Yun Qiao opened the jewelry box and found a pair of silver bracelets inside.

"Wow, it's a pair of silver bracelets with a lotus pattern on them. They're so beautiful."

"When I went to the capital, my younger brother took me to climb Jingshan Park. There's a state-owned silver shop across from the park. I went in and took a look around, and I thought this bracelet would suit you." He Tingjun said, "Do you like it?"

Yun Qiao nodded and immediately put the silver bracelet on his hand: "Brother He, thank you for your gift, I like it."

He Tingjun smiled and said, "As long as you like it."

Yun Qiao asked him, "Brother He, when is your birthday?"

"September 20th of the lunar calendar." He Tingjun said, "Why? You want to give me a gift?"

"Of course! You gave me something, so I must give you something." Yun Qiao said as a matter of course, "It's only right to reciprocate."

"Okay." A smile flashed across He Tingjun's inky black eyes: "Then I'll wait for your gift."

"Yeah." Yun Qiao smiled and said, "I will definitely prepare well."

He Tingjun said, "I have to go to Sanheying soon. Do you want to take a leave and go with me?"

Yun Qiao nodded hurriedly: "Yes, yes, yes! Please sit here and wait for me. I'll go talk to Director Jiang."

He Tingjun nodded: "Okay, I'll wait for you."

Yun Qiao took off his coat, walked out of the clinic, and went to Director Jiang's office.

Although her company had given her one day off a month, allowing her to decide freely when to take it without reporting, Yun Qiao felt it would be best to inform her superiors if the clinic was closed for a day, just to be on the safe side. She wouldn't be blamed later if something urgent happened and she wasn't there.

Director Jiang was in the office, and Yun Qiao told her that he had decided to take a day off today.

Director Jiang nodded and agreed. "Yun Qiao, you can take any day off you want. The company promised to give you one day off every month, and it won't count."

"Okay, Director Jiang. I'll be leaving now."

Coming out of Director Jiang’s office, Yun Qiao went to the health clinic.

She pulled out a shoulder bag from under the counter and put it on her back, then said to He Tingjun, "Brother He, I've taken my leave, let's go."

"Okay." He Tingjun stood up.

Yun Qiao locked the door of the clinic and the two of them walked out together.

He Tingjun came in a jeep and parked the car outside the team headquarters.

As soon as he arrived at the team headquarters gate, he bumped into Lu Xun who was driving a carriage.

"Be careful." He Tingjun put his arm around Yun Qiao's shoulders, protecting her and hiding her to the side of the road to make way for the carriage.

Lu Xun pulled the reins and stopped the carriage in front of Yun Qiao: "Comrade Ye, where are you going?"

Yun Qiao smiled and said, "Go visit relatives."

"The clinic is closed today?"

"Yeah." Yun Qiao explained, "I asked for leave, and the clinic is closed today."

Lu Xun nodded: "That's how it is."

"What about you?" Yun Qiao asked him, "It's almost half past eight, why haven't you gone to the regiment yet?"

Lu Xun said, "Something has fallen. I'm here to get it."

"Then you go get it. I have something else to do, so I'll leave first." Yun Qiao waved at him: "Goodbye, Comrade Lu."

"Goodbye, Comrade Ye." Lu Xun drove the carriage into the team headquarters, moved forward a few meters, and couldn't help but look back again.

The man was tall and straight, half holding the girl's shoulders and protecting her in his arms.

Lu Xun squinted his eyes and suddenly felt that the sunlight was a bit dazzling.
