Chapter 194 High Fever (1/2)

Chapter 194 High Fever

The sky was gloomy all day, and a blizzard finally and inevitably fell.

Fortunately, the tractor was about to start its fifth consecutive run, so Yun Qiao and his group were not seriously affected by the snowstorm.

Meng Que and her son were wrapped in thick quilts and didn't feel cold at all.

The tractor stopped outside the Dong family's gate. When Director Jiang carried the fat baby into the house, he was still sleeping soundly with his eyes closed.

Yun Qiao got out of the car and didn't go into the Dong family. After saying something to Director Jiang, he went straight back to the clinic.

The heavy snow fell to my shoulders, and all I could see was a sea of white snow.

Yun Qiao walked along the way, but he didn't feel like appreciating anything at all.

After returning from this trip, she felt something was not right with her body.

This time, the coldness was different from the usual cold hands and feet that came from being in the snow. It felt like it was coming from between her bones, and she couldn't help but shiver.

Yun Qiao himself is a doctor, and he knew something was wrong without thinking too much.

She has caught a cold and is about to get sick.

So after returning to the clinic, Yun Qiao did not hesitate and immediately grabbed a dose of Jingfang Baidu Powder and started to boil it.

Cook the medicine in a casserole, boil two bowls of water into one bowl, let it cool slightly after taking it out of the pot, then drink it while it is still slightly hot.

After drinking the medicine and heating up the kang, Yun Qiao crawled into the quilt and fell into a deep sleep.

But illness comes like a mountain falling.

Even though she took the medicine early, she still had a high fever at night.

Yun Qiao was woken up by the dryness. Winter in the north is dry in itself, and there was a kang burning in the house, so the air in the room was almost dry.

When Yun Qiao woke up, not only was his mouth dry and his throat sore, but his head was also groggy. Instinctively, he raised his hand to touch his forehead. Wow, it was burning hot.

Yun Qiao struggled to get up from the kang, found a thermometer and clipped it on himself. After measuring his body temperature, it was 39.8 degrees, and it was even tending to go up to 40 degrees. Yun Qiao shuddered all over and instantly became alert. He quickly found a silver needle and gave himself two injections to calm down and reduce the temperature.

The speed of cooling down by acupuncture and bloodletting is still acceptable.

After the acupuncture, Yun Qiao didn’t know whether it was a psychological effect or something else, but he felt comfortable.

She had some extra strength, so she poured herself two large glasses of water. After drinking them up in gulps, she immediately filled a basin with water, wet a towel and placed it on the edge of the basin to speed up the evaporation of water vapor and increase the humidity in the indoor air.

After finishing this, she felt tired again, added a handful of firewood to the stove, climbed back onto the kang, covered her head and fell asleep.

When I woke up again, I was woken by a knock on the back door.

“Bang, bang!”

“Boom boom boom!”

“Bang, bang, bang!”

The knocking is loud and has no sense of rhythm, which makes people annoyed when listening to it.

Yun Qiao felt very dizzy and his eyelids hurt, and he didn't want to open his eyes at all.

When people are upset, their tempers tend to flare. Yun Qiao lay on the kang without moving, and shouted outside at the top of his voice: "Can you please stop knocking? Why are you making so much noise so early in the morning?"

The knocking on the door finally stopped, and the air was eerily quiet for a few seconds.

After a long while, the sound was heard again from outside the back door.
