Qin Zheng's words were full of aggressiveness.
In fact, the two of them have the same strong personality, so it is difficult for them to communicate peacefully every time they talk on the phone. Often, they will become hostile after just a few words.
The difference is that Qin Zheng is softer and more empathetic, while Qin Lin is more chauvinistic and stubborn.
He rarely reflects on himself, let alone admits his mistakes in front of his son, which will undermine his authority as a parent.
Qin Lin refused to answer Qin Zheng's question directly, saying only, "Qin Zheng, I understand your love for your sister, but this isn't the way things should be."
"I also feel sorry for my daughter. I also want to transfer her back to the capital to reunite with our family, but I can't do that."
Qin Zheng sneered: "So what you said about loving your daughter is just a slang?"
"The country trusts me by appointing me as a cadre. I cannot betray the country's trust in me and abuse the power in my hands for personal gain." Qin Lin said in a deep voice: "Positions in the capital are all fixed and staffed. If Yun Qiao wants to come to Beijing, he will inevitably occupy a position originally belonging to someone else. This is unfair to others."
"Hey, you, Minister Qin, are upright and selfless, but I am a dirty, despicable and shameless villain. Just accept it." Qin Zheng laughed in anger.
"I didn't mean that. Don't misinterpret it deliberately." Qin Zheng's attitude gave Qin Lindun a headache.
He pinched his brow, which was beginning to swell, and his tone softened a bit. "Qin Zheng, it's unacceptable to be a cadre and not uphold the bottom line. You're an adult now, so you should understand my approach."
"I understand, but that doesn't mean I agree. If a person doesn't work for himself, he will be punished by heaven and earth. Within the scope of one's rights, making things easier for one's children is a perfectly normal thing. Who doesn't do this? Are you the only one who's so noble? Are you the only one who has high moral character?"
Qin Zheng didn't want to argue with Qin Lin anymore.
Qin Lin is an old stubborn man. Once he makes up his mind, no one can persuade him no matter how hard they try.
"You can stand by and watch as she does. I will never let Yun Qiao suffer any injustice! I will ask her in person. If she is willing to return to the capital, I will find a way to pave the way for her to return, even if it means sacrificing my dignity."
After saying that, Qin Zheng was about to hang up the phone. Qin Lin noticed his intention and quickly called out to him, "Wait, don't hang up yet."
Qin Zheng said in a rude tone: "You still have 䛍?"
Qin Lin said, "It's still more than a month before the wedding. Come on, bring your sister back to Beijing."
"Go back to Beijing for a while?" Qin Zheng chuckled, "Is it necessary?"
Qin Lin's tone softened, with a hint of pleading in his voice: "You have to let me see my daughter, right?"
"If you want to see me, you can. Come to Songjiang." Qin Zheng said, "So many of us are in Songjiang, and you're the only one in Beijing. There's no reason for so many of us to accommodate you."
Qin Lin was embarrassed: "I'm busy on the railway and I don't have time."
"This is your problem, not mine." Qin Zheng said, and hung up the phone with a "click", leaving Qin Lin with only a series of "beep beep" busy tones.
Qin Lin was stunned for a moment with the telephone receiver in his hand, and it took him a long time to come back to his senses.
He sighed deeply and put the receiver back in its place.

The next morning.
As soon as Yun Qiao woke up, he smelled a strong aroma of rice in the air.
She opened her eyes and found that Feng Juan, who had been sleeping beside her, was gone. Yun Qiao reached out and felt the quilt, and found that it was also cold, obviously she had been out of bed for some time.
There was no one in the room. Yun Qiao got up and put on his clothes. He had just thrown back the quilt and got out of bed, and before he could put on his cotton shoes, the back door was pushed open.
Feng Juan walked in from outside carrying a basket made of bamboo strips. Seeing Yun Qiao, she smiled lovingly: "Yun Qiao, you're awake."
Yun Qiao hummed and asked softly, "Mom, when did you get up? You've been on the train for several days. Why don't you get a little more sleep?"
"I've been up for a while. People sleep less after they get older. I wake up at an instant and can't fall asleep again even if I want to." Feng Juan answered with a smile, putting the vegetable basket on the chopping board in the kitchen.
Yun Qiao took a look and found two eggs and two green onions in the basket, so he asked, "Did you just leave?"
Feng Juan nodded. "I got up and had nothing else to do, so I decided to make breakfast. But when I entered the kitchen, I found nothing but some noodles, flour, and rice. So I went out to trade with a fellow villager for two eggs. She was very kind. I bought her two eggs, and she gave me two scallions as a gift. I'm going to make you a scallion omelet. Eggs are very nutritious in the morning."
Feng Juan kept on rambling, but Yun Qiao didn't think she was nagging at all.
She likes her mother's nagging, which is an experience she rarely had before.
"Oh." Yun Qiao leaned his head on Feng Juan's shoulder and said fondly, "Let me taste my mother's cooking."
Feng Juan smiled gently: "My skill in making noodles is quite good. I promise not to disappoint you."
No matter what my mother does, I will never be disappointed.
Yun Qiao said this in his heart.
