Chapter 27: White-Eyed Wolf
When Su Hua arrived at her home, it was not too late. The aroma of food coming from the homes of her neighbors filled her nose. When she opened the door of her own yard, her family members were sitting around the table eating.
She didn't ask why they started eating without waiting for her, because that was the usual practice for everyone in the family. The only difference was that her eldest sister Su Lin was not there either.
Her father and two brothers were so engrossed in their meals that they didn't even look up when they heard the noise. Only her mother turned and glanced at her, asking, "Why are you back so late?"
Su Hua lied: "I went to the University of Science and Technology to read a book. I missed the bus and was late because I had to wait for the second bus."
Wang Chunying didn't investigate further, as she didn't care enough about her daughter.
With a casual "hmm", I asked her to wash her hands and come over to eat.
Su Hua nodded obediently, washed his hands, moved a stool and started eating without saying a word.
Halfway through the meal, elder sister Su Lin finally came back.
Unlike her treatment as she had no sense of existence, as soon as Su Lin entered the door, Su Kang and Wang Chunqin put down their bowls without saying a word.
The two of them had the same gloomy expression.
Su Lin seemed not to care about their expressions. She greeted them calmly and went straight back to her room.
Wang Chunyi yelled at her without getting angry: "Come in as soon as you get back. Don't you want to eat?"
Su Lin stopped and said, "No, I've already eaten outside."
Wang Chunyin asked, "Who did you eat with?"
Su Lin didn't answer, but went into the house and closed the door.
Wang Chunyi's face turned ugly, and Su Kang immediately lost his temper, pointing at her nose and scolding: "Look at the daughter you raised."
He didn't even eat and went back to the house.
Wang Chunyin had no appetite anymore, so he stood up and went to Su Lin's room.
She didn't knock on the door, but pushed it open and walked in.
Su Hua heard her eldest sister Su Lin scream: "Ah - Mom, why didn't you knock on the door? I was changing clothes!"
"Why are you changing clothes when you're not supposed to be sleeping?" Wang Chunyi's voice was filled with anger. "Why are your clothes wet? Whose clothes are you wearing underneath?"
Su Lin: "Who else could it be? It has to be Lowe's."
"How did you run into him?"
Su Lin: "I accidentally fell into the river and he saved me."
"Why did you fall into the river?"
As soon as Wang Chunying finished asking, he thought about it and realized that it was Su Lin who did it on purpose.
She has a lot of clever ideas.
Wang Chunyin was a little angry: "The going to the countryside has already been decided, why are you still looking for him? Stop messing around, your father won't let you stay."
Su Lin was also unhappy and retorted, "Whoever wants to go to the countryside can go, I'm not going anyway. I've already found a way to stay in the city."
"Yichang and Yixing are still young. If you don't go, who will? Your father is already very dissatisfied with me because of this matter. Can you pity your mother and stop making such trouble?"
"What do you mean by young? They're fifteen years old too. The eldest son of Uncle Liang's family next door is a year older than them, and he went to the countryside this year too." Su Lin couldn't help but roll her eyes. "Seriously? My dad favors his sons, and you don't love me either."
"Don't I love you enough? If I really didn't, I wouldn't have thought of letting Ye Yunqiao replace you in the first place! Wang Chunyin was a little disappointed, but in order to comfort Su Lin, he could only patiently coax her, "Linlin, just listen to me this time. I will find a way to get you back later."

Before he could finish his words, the door of the room was suddenly kicked open by Su Kang.
Su Lin was startled by the loud bang and subconsciously pulled her coat over her body, which was only covered with a small vest.
"Wang Chunyin, come out!" Su Kang said coldly, "Why are you still trying to coax such an ungrateful person?"
Wang Chunyi came out of Su Lin's room hesitantly and whispered, "Boss, calm down. Linlin is ignorant. Just give her some more advice..."
As soon as he finished speaking, Su Kang suddenly bent down, picked up a chair, and threw it towards Su Lin who was standing in the room.
Su Lin screamed in fright and quickly dodged, but the room was too small, and even though she tried her best to avoid it, she was still hit on the calf by the chair.
She cried in pain and asked with red eyes: "Dad, what are you doing?"
"What am I doing?"
Su Kang unbuckled his belt, sneered, and approached her, "I'm going to beat you to death, you ungrateful bastard! I've raised you up, and you're of no use at all! Do you know how many times the Youth League Office has come to my workplace to look for me? Do you know that the leaders at my workplace are already dissatisfied with me?!"
"With this policy this year, whose children wouldn't go to the countryside? Only you want special treatment? You're being so reluctant when you're asked to go, and you're even harboring resentment towards your family? If I'd known this would happen, your mother should have strangled you to death when she brought you home!"
The belt hit Su Lin's flesh again and again, and she screamed in pain.
Su Hua couldn't bear to listen and covered his ears with his hands.
