Chapter 319 Tip-off (2/2)

Her eyes rolled around, and as soon as her parents came upstairs after dinner, she immediately rushed to the phone and dialed Fang Hui who was far away in Songjiang.

Long-distance calls require transfers, which can take half an hour to an hour, so He Ying would wait by the phone.

But unfortunately today, her mother was thirsty and went downstairs to get some water. When she saw He Ying standing by the phone, her eyes suddenly became alert.

"He Ying, who did you call?"

Of course He Ying didn't dare to tell the truth.

Her mother warned her during the Chinese New Year that she was not allowed to have close contact with Fang Hui anymore. She could be an ordinary friend who was familiar and polite to her, but that was all she could do.

"I hit Shi Yue, what's wrong?" He Ying felt guilty and her eyes were a little evasive.

Shi Yue is Shi Shan's niece.

Shi Shan felt strange: "Why are you calling Shi Yue at this moment? When did you cousins become so stupid?"

I've never seen two of them play so much before.

He Ying gritted her teeth and explained, "She told me last time that she bought a bottle of Hangzhou-made Xueyi Cream that was particularly useful, so I asked her to buy me one too. It's been a long time, and I still haven't received it. I wondered if she sent it to me."

"You're lying." Shi Shan immediately exposed He Ying's lie.

Her niece, Shi Yue, preferred military uniforms to red dresses. She had just graduated from high school last year at the age of seventeen and had already signed up for military service. She was currently serving in Zhejiang Province. Shi Yue had never been one for beauty. Her younger siblings had complained to her that she wouldn't even apply facial oil after washing her face, finding it too troublesome and too fragrant. She had to keep a close eye on her and remind her to do so.

With her niece Shi Yue's behavior, could she possibly tell He Ying where to get the Xueyi ointment?

Unless the sun rises from the west.

Shi Shan stared at He Ying sharply, her face serious: "Tell me the truth, are you trying to tip off Fang Hui?"

"No way!" He Ying denied it: "I just wanted to call Shi Yue."

"You're calling Shi Yue, right? Hey, as her aunt, I haven't talked to Shi Yue for a long time. When the call gets through, let me talk to Shi Yue too." Shi Shan folded her arms and sat next to He Ying, making it clear that she wanted to talk to 'Shi Yue' on the phone.

He Ying was dumbfounded.

But she didn't dare to admit it directly.

Although her mother looks gentle, she is just as harsh as her father when it comes to dealing with children.

Time passed minute by minute, Shi Shan remained motionless, and He Ying sat there feeling as if she were being pricked by needles.

Ding-ling-ling…

The phone rang suddenly, like thunder in the silent night, which seemed particularly abrupt and scared He Ying so much that she shuddered all over.

Shi Shan glanced at He Ying with a half-smile: "Answer the phone? Why don't you answer it?"

He Ying swallowed hard, her throat seemed to be tightly gripped by an invisible hand.

She didn't dare to answer the call. She was sweating and ran away with her tail between her legs.

Shi Shan glanced at He Ying's flustered back and picked up the phone: "Hello? It's Fang Hui. Why are you calling so suddenly?"

He Ying's legs went weak, and her knees nearly knocked against the stairs. Before she could get up, she heard her mother say to Fang Hui on the phone, "Nothing. Yingying just told me to tell you that she's out on a tour with the troupe. It's a remote place, and they don't have access to the phone. She won't be able to contact you for a while."

I don't know what Fang Hui said, but her mother continued, "Tian, wait until Yingying comes back from tour, I'll ask her to call you back."

As soon as the phone hung up, Shi Shan's eyes locked onto He Ying, who was standing on the stairs, and she said coldly, "You are not allowed to contact Fang Hui within a year."

He Ying felt desperate.
