Yun Qiao slept too late and was too tired the night before, so he woke up with an empty stomach the next day.
The moment she opened her eyes, the sun shone brightly outside the window. She rolled over, her face resting on the quilt as she glanced at the clock on the table across from her. It was almost nine. The seat next to her was empty; she wondered when He Tingjun had gotten up.
Maybe it was because he was too tired yesterday, but even after a good sleep, Yun Qiao still felt weak all over and lay there lazily, not wanting to get up.
She stayed in bed for a while, and He Tingjun pushed open the bedroom door and came in from outside.
Seeing Yun Qiao's eyes open, He Tingjun curled up the corners of his mouth and said with a smile: "Awake."
Yun Qiao hummed, then slowly got up.
She was only wearing a cotton nightgown. Because of her sleeping position, the hem of the skirt was piled up at her waist, revealing her fair and tender skin. He Tingjun wanted to hug her.
He did it, holding her waist with one hand, holding her chin with the other, and lowering his head to kiss her.
Yun Qiao tilted his head, and the kiss shifted in angle and landed on the corner of her lips.
"Why are you hiding?" He Tingjun was dissatisfied and bit her lips with his teeth.
Yun Qiao was a little embarrassed: "I haven't brushed my teeth yet."
He Tingjun laughed happily, patted her little butt lightly, and stood up: "Then go quickly."
Yun Qiao hugged the quilt and didn't move. "Go out, I need to change clothes."
He Tingjun raised his eyebrows: "Where on your body have I not seen?"
Yun Qiao's face flushed completely, and she glared at him: "Get out!"
"Okay, okay, you change and I'll go out." He Tingjun raised his hands and begged for mercy.
He walked backwards out, saying as he walked, "Hurry up and change your clothes and wash up. I've bought breakfast and it's in the cupboard outside. You can eat it after you wash up."
"Have you eaten yet?"
"No, I'll wait for you."
"Okay, I'll be right there."
Yun Qiao took off her nightgown and changed into a grass green shirt dress.
This green shirt dress was also new, just like the red dress she had worn at her wedding yesterday. Feng Juan had bought the fabric specifically for her wedding, using the fashionable styles of Beijing as a reference. The grass green color complemented Yun Qiao's skin very well, making her look even fairer.
After getting married, Yun Qiao no longer wore two pigtails with a student-like look. Instead, she tied all her hair on top of her head into a small bun, leaving a strand of hair on her forehead, which made her look natural and playful.
After getting dressed and coming out of the bedroom, He Tingjun had already set out the breakfast he bought from the cafeteria. When he saw Yun Qiao's appearance, a hint of surprise flashed in his eyes.
“It’s really beautiful.”
Yun Qiao stood in front of the sink behind the door, squeezing toothpaste onto her toothbrush while looking at herself in the mirror with a smug look. "Of course I look good! Don't you see whose wife I am?"
He Tingjun looked at her with a smile and jokingly said, "Are you praising me for my good taste? Or is it me who's praising me for my good taste?"
"Is there any difference?" Yun Qiao glanced at him coquettishly, then bent down and started brushing her teeth.
He Tingjun smiled and looked away.
After Yun Qiao brushed her teeth, washed her face and applied some cold cream, He Tingjun also cut a pickled cucumber and green pepper, added a little sesame oil and mixed them together to make a salty, crispy and refreshing pickle, which was perfect with the buns and porridge in the morning.
"Comrade He, you are so kind! You have breakfast right after you wake up."
Yun Qiao hugged He Tingjun's waist and buried her face in his chest: "I feel like I married a snail-like young man."
"Are you satisfied?" He Tingjun really liked Yun Qiao's initiative to throw himself into his arms.
"Satisfied." Yun Qiao nodded heavily: "It would be even better if it could be maintained forever!"
"I'll try my best."
Unlike others who casually agree to something, He Tingjun never makes a promise lightly, and once he does, he will not easily change it. Even if it's just a small thing, he will stick to it to the end.
Yun Qiao didn't know at this time that because of a suggestion she made on the first day of her marriage, He Tingjun would almost take on most of the housework and cooking in the future. Unless she was away on a mission, he would not let her get involved.
He does laundry, cooking, mopping the floor and taking care of the kids. He is truly a filial father and a good husband!
Just ask around, there is nothing like it in the entire family compound.
Halfway through breakfast, Zeng Qi's sister-in-law came to visit.
