Chapter 369 Scheming

Yun Qiao turned her head when she heard the voice and found that the person who called her was Fang Hui.

Fang Hui was wearing a loose, light navy blue jacket. The dark circles under her eyes were particularly noticeable, making her look very haggard. However, she had gained a lot of weight, her oval face became round and plump, and her slender figure became a little bloated.

She looked Yun Qiao up and down, her tone filled with surprise: "It's really you. Why are you here at my school?"

"I'm here to see a friend." Yun Qiao said calmly, then asked, "What about you?"

"I'm here to see a friend too." Fang Hui paused and explained, "My friend is a teacher at school."

After saying that, she looked at Zheng Wenjing standing behind Yun Qiao and said, "Is your friend also a teacher at Xixi Middle School? Why haven't I seen her before?"

"No." Zheng Wenjing said herself: "I am an actor in the crew. We all live here."

"So that's how it is." Fang Hui nodded thoughtfully, then asked, "Did you come here alone? Didn't Brother Tingjun come with you?"

Yun Qiao said expressionlessly, "This seems to have nothing to do with you."

"Comrade Ye, you don't have to be so wary of me. It's true that I like Brother Tingjun, but a girl's reputation is precious. Now that he's married, I won't bother him anymore." Fang Hui smiled faintly and said, "Putting aside my feelings for Brother Tingjun, he's also the guy next door who I've known since childhood. It's not too much to ask him about his marriage, right?"

Yun Qiao: "According to what you said, I am the one who is narrow-minded."

Fang Hui shook her head: "You misunderstood, I didn't mean that."

Yun Qiao sneered, turned around and left without saying anything.

Fang Hui looked innocent: "Comrade Ye, why did you leave? I really didn't mean that."

Zheng Wenjing came over to Fang Hui, patted her shoulder, and said, "It's okay, I understand you."

Fang Hui was about to agree: "Yeah, I really didn't mean that..."

Then I heard Zheng Wenjing say, "Because I used to be scheming too."

Fang Hui's expression froze instantly: "You..."

"You are all thousand-year-old foxes, why are you pretending to be a little rabbit?" Zheng Wenjing rolled his eyes at her, snorted coldly, stood up and quickly caught up with Yun Qiao's figure.

After coming out of He Tingjun Middle School, Zheng Wenjing couldn't help but ask Yun Qiao, "Did that girl like He Tingjun before?"

Yun Qiao nodded.

"Then you have to be careful. That woman has squinting eyes and drooping eyebrows. You can tell at a glance that she is not holding her fart well." Zheng Wenjing reminded.

Yun Qiao responded, "I understand. I'll be careful. But it should be fine. We live in the base, and she's out there. We only see her a few times a year."

Yun Qiao didn't want the atmosphere to become dull, so he raised a smile and teased Zheng Wenjing, "But I didn't expect that after three days of separation, you've learned how to read faces?"

"I wouldn't say I'm a physiognomist, but I do have a knack for accurately capturing a person's expression." Zheng Wenjing smiled subtly, adding, "There's an actress on our set who plays a wicked mother-in-law. Every time she puts on makeup, she uses tape to lift the corners of her eyes and eyebrows. She says it makes her look mean and helps portray that wicked, sinister nature. I noticed the woman just now had very raised eyebrows; she doesn't look like a good person at first glance."

Yun Qiao thought about it carefully and it seemed to be true.

When I first met Fang Hui a year ago, her eyebrows were still curved like willow leaves, not as upturned as they are now. But when we met this time, the corners of her eyes and the tips of her eyebrows seemed to be turning up. Although she had gained some weight and her oval face had become rounder, she did not look wealthy and peaceful. Instead, her eyes were sharp, and she seemed quite contradictory.

I don’t know what I went through.

But this had nothing to do with her. Yun Qiao curled her lips, put Fang Hui behind her mind, and turned to talk to Zheng Wenjing about other things.

The two of them were walking and chatting, and when they arrived at the crew, they happened to meet Ji Ping who was looking for someone.

"Comrade Wen Jing, you've arrived just in time. The previous scene just finished filming, and the next one is ours, and it's about to start filming. Come over and get ready."

"Okay, I'll be right there." Zheng Wenjing responded, then turned and said goodbye to Yun Qiao. "I'm going to film now. I don't know when I'll be done. Don't wait for me. Go and do your own thing. We'll meet again when we have time."

Yun Qiao nodded and waved at her: "Go."

Yun Qiao watched Zheng Wenjing walk into the filming site, then turned around to meet up with He Tingjun, "Let's go."

"Where are we going next?" He Tingjun asked.

Yun Qiao thought for a moment and said, "Let's go back the same way and go to the Supply and Marketing Department again. I haven't used the malted milk coupons I got this month yet. I want to buy a can of malted milk and go to my uncle's house. I haven't been there for over a month."

He Tingjun nodded: "Okay."

At the canning factory, Yun Qiao not only bought a can of malted milk but also a set of pencils for his uncle's two children. Kang Ning was in elementary school, and Yun Qing was enrolled in the cannery's educational class. Pencils were essential for both children to read and write, and a set of ten pencils was more than enough for them to share.

After buying things, Yun Qiao and his friend walked out side by side. Out of the corner of their eyes, they saw a familiar figure flash by not far away and walked into the state-owned restaurant next door.

Yun Qiao paused.

He Tingjun turned to look at her: "What's wrong?"

Yun Qiao frowned slightly: "I think I saw someone I know."

"Do you want to go over and say hello?" He Tingjun asked considerately.

Yun Qiao shook his head: "No need."

She suspected that she had seen it wrong. After all, the company only had one day off a month, and Han Rou had already used it at the last social gathering. Now it was the rice and wheat harvest season, and the company leaders were all busy and would not easily approve leave for the educated youth. How could Han Rou have time to show up?

Moreover, even if it was really Han Rou, she would not take the initiative to say hello.

The relationship between the two is not good.
