Zheng Jing smiled and asked, "Do you live nearby?"
"Yes." Ji Yu stretched out his finger and pointed outward: "It's behind the State-owned Hotel, in Xinghua Hutong."
Zheng Jing also knew Xinghua Hutong, which was not far from her grandmother's house in Lihua Hutong.
She asked, "Then why didn't you eat at home?"
Ji Yu said: "My parents are visiting their hometown, and it's not worth cooking for me to eat alone."
Zheng Jing said "Oh" and thought that he probably couldn't cook.
The two of them shared a table. Ji Ye also ordered a bowl of noodles with soybean paste. While eating, he asked, "Comrade Jing, are you here to visit relatives as well?"
"Yes." Zheng Jing nodded. "We educated youth have family leave every year."
"Is the home visit leave long?" Ji Ye asked curiously.
"Not long." Zheng Yujing shook her head. "There are only thirty days in a year. It takes a week just to get here on the road, so the time I'm actually at home is only about twenty days."
"Twenty days or so is pretty good, it's better than nothing." Ji Yu said with a smile, "Now that you're here, don't you think you should take a good rest for a while?"
Zheng Jing nodded: "Yes, you can take a short break."
"Are you free in the next few days?" Ji Yi asked.
"I might have to visit relatives and friends these days, I'm not sure." Zheng Yujing didn't answer directly, but asked him, "What's the matter?"
"Nothing." Ji Yi scratched his head and said, "I just thought that your home visit leave is only 30 days, so you won't be able to catch the movie screening. This movie won't be screened in Songjiang Province for a while, so I wanted to invite you to the studio to see the rough cut of the film."
"Is it okay?" Zheng Jing was a little surprised.
She had never been to a movie studio.
"Sure." Ji Ye smiled and said, "Don't you want to see how you perform on the screen?"
"Yes, of course!" Zheng Yujing said eagerly, "Comrade Ji Yu, when are you free?"
Ji Yu thought for a moment and said, "The seventh day. There are many people visiting relatives and friends these days, so they should be almost done after the seventh day. You shouldn't go to Songjiang Province so early, right?"
"No, I came to Songjiang after the Lantern Festival." Zheng Yujing said.
"Okay, let's make this a deal." Ji Yu said, "I'll start working on the third day of the Lunar New Year, and I'll be at the studio every day. If you're free on the seventh day, come find me at the studio. I'll tell the guard in advance, and you can tell him my name and he'll let you in."
Zheng Yujing nodded and asked, "Then where can I find you after I come in?"
"There's a small red building on the left after you enter the door. I usually stay there... Never mind. It's your first time here, and you're unfamiliar with the place. You probably won't be able to find it." Ji Yu said, "Just wait for me at the door. Have the guard come in and call me, and I'll come out to pick you up."
"Okay." Zheng Jing agreed.
"Then it's settled. Comrade Jing, you must come. I'll be waiting for you." Ji Yu curled up the corners of his mouth, and a bright smile appeared on Si Yu's polite face.
Zheng Yujing also laughed: "Okay, I will definitely go."
