Chapter 409: Born to be my enemy (2/2)

"You little bitch, you're rebelling against her."

Qi Chunhui's mother rolled up her sleeves and kicked the door to the inner room. "Qi Chunhui, get out of here! If you have something to say, let's talk about it. Why are you occupying your brother's room?"

Qi Chunhui covered his head with the quilt and turned a deaf ear to it.

The ten-pound cotton quilt was warm, and the windows and doors were closed tightly, so no cold wind could get in.

Living here is much more comfortable than living in a drafty main room.

So Qi Chunhui decided not to say anything, and no one could force her to come out.

The door to the inner room was there when the house was built. It is a very solid back door panel, completely different from the paper-thin wooden panels used in later private construction.

Qi Chunhui's mother kicked the door for a long time, and he was sweating profusely, but in the end the door still didn't move.

Qi Chunhui's father advised her: "It's over, calm down. Chunhui has been wronged, and if she wants to live in the inner room, let her stay for one day and let her move out tomorrow."

"Then where will I live tomorrow?" Qi Yaomang asked.

Qi Bin also said: "Yeah, where are we going to live tomorrow?"

There are two rooms separated by the west room. The one in the back is where Qi Chunhui's grandfather lives, and the one in the front with a window is her parents' room.

After Qi Bin came back, he lived in the east room with Qi Yao, while Qi Chunhui slept on a makeshift wooden bed in the main room.

Now Qi Chunhui took over the east room, and Qi Bin and Qi Yao had no place to live.

"It's already this late, and you two are still thinking about sleeping. Don't you see that your sister has trashed the house and it's uninhabitable?"

At this point, even if Qi Chunhui's mother was partial to her son, she couldn't be kind to him.

Neither of the two sons in the family has any sense.

Qi Chunhui's mother glared at them angrily, but seeing they were frozen in place, she gave them clear assignments: "Qi Yao, go get the broom and sweep up the debris on the floor. Qi Bin, go look in the back utility room for some tarpaulin. Your sister smashed the window glass in the west room. If you don't cover it with tarpaulin, the cold wind will blow in at night and I won't be able to sleep."

"Let's get the house in order first, then we can discuss how to sleep."

That night, Qi Chunhui was the only one who slept soundly and sweetly under a thick quilt weighing ten kilograms.

Although the glass of the west room window was covered with oilcloth, the heat insulation effect of the oilcloth was obviously not as good as that of the glass. The cold wind blew through the oilcloth and still entered the house.

Qi Chunhui's parents were wrapped in a quilt, shivering with cold, and there was no warm bed all night.

Qi Bin and Qi Yao were even worse off, sleeping on the floor in the main room. Their sleeping posture was terrible, and at night, one would grab my blanket, the other would grab yours, back and forth, leaving neither of them properly covered.

The next morning, as expected, all four members of the family fell ill from the cold.

While eating breakfast, I sneezed one after another and my saliva sprayed into the bowl.

Qi Chunhui's grandfather thought they were dirty, so he put down his bowl and chopsticks and went out to eat.

Although the old man is old, he is a technical backbone of the factory. He has not retired in his teens and is the main breadwinner of the family.

He never cared about trivial matters at home. In the early years, when Qi Chun returned home and his parents were fighting, he didn't even blink an eye. When he was annoyed by the quarrel, he would stop the household expenses to ensure that everyone behaved well.

Everyone in the family knew his temper, so they didn't dare to bother him with trivial matters at home.
