Chapter 6 A Chance Encounter (1/2)

Chapter 6 A Chance Encounter

With a crisp "slap" sound, the waitress's head was tilted to one side, and several red and swollen finger marks quickly appeared on her young face, which showed that her uncle-in-law had not held back at all when he slapped her.

Yun Qiao had never expected that he would suddenly attack someone. His eyes widened in shock and he hissed subconsciously.

"Uncle! You hit me?" The waitress looked at her uncle in disbelief with red eyes, crying in grievance.

The logistics officer ignored her grievances and sternly corrected her address: "Call me Ren!"

The waitress looked at her "impartial" uncle, and the burning pain on her face finally made her realize what was going on.

She finally realized she was afraid. With tears in her eyes, she walked in front of Yun Qiao and said with a sob, "I'm sorry."

Perhaps because she felt it was too humiliating to be beaten in public, after she said sorry, she burst into tears, covered her face and ran into the back office.

The logistics officer humbled himself and said, "Little girl, it was just a small quarrel. Let's forgive her. She has already apologized to you. Look..."

Yun Qiao didn't want to make a big deal out of it, he just wanted an apology.

Now that the apology has been made and the arrogant waitress has been slapped and taught a lesson, we can leave it at that.

She nodded slightly. "That's it, then. I hope she learns her lesson and speaks more politely in the future. She's lucky to have met someone as good-tempered as me today. Otherwise, this matter wouldn't have been resolved so easily."

The logistics officer agreed without blinking, "Yes, yes, little girl, you are so generous. I thank you on behalf of my ignorant niece."

After saying this, he turned to look at the young soldier who had spoken out for justice, and said in a flattering tone: "Zhizhi, we have successfully resolved the matter. Do you have any other suggestions?"

The young soldier said coldly, "That's not a good idea. I hope you can learn a lesson, just like the girl said. As waiters, you should serve the people well. Don't take their jobs and then look down on them!"

The logistics director's expression froze. Before he could make any promises, the young soldier turned around and walked away.

Yun Qiao quickly chased after him to express his gratitude.

The man was tall and had long legs, and he walked very fast. Yun Qiao had to jog to barely catch up with him.

"Thank you for your righteous words just now."

"You are smart and clever. I just said one sentence, and you don't even thank me." The man waved his hand and did not take credit for it.

"You should thank me. The accusation I made against her only frightened people temporarily. If you hadn't come out to testify against that reckless and cunning guy, I wouldn't have been able to do anything to those two relatives once he got his revenge. But it caused you to miss out on food." Yun Qiao smiled at him embarrassedly after saying this.

"I can't even say it's a burden. I can't even eat with a waiter like that in a restaurant."

"Then I'll treat you to a meal. I know there's a state-owned restaurant not far away."

"No." The man politely declined: "I have something else to do next. Goodbye."

"Oh, okay, then you get busy."

The man left quickly and disappeared at the end of the street.

Yun Qiao slapped his forehead and remembered that he had forgotten to ask his name.

Forget it, it’s all forgotten.
