Chapter 601 I Want to Join the Army (2/2)

Feng Juan nodded: "Of course I don't agree. Why should we move an outsider into our household registration?"

Qin Lin: "Qin Chang's surname is Qin, so he can't be considered an outsider."

"Why not?" Feng Juan twitched her lips and said with a forced smile, "He's neither the descendant of your child nor the descendant of my child, so how can he be registered under our shared household registration?"

Qin Lin got angry when he heard Feng Juan's sarcastic tone. He frowned and glared at her, "Look at you, you're so petty. My sister's grandson has temporarily moved his household registration to our house for a few years, and you can't even tolerate that? You don't have the magnanimity of an elder at all."

Feng Juan also couldn't understand why Qin Lin said that she was narrow-minded. She wanted to go crazy when she heard it.

"Yes, I just don't have a big heart. I just can't tolerate it."

Feng Juan was so angry that she blurted out, "Who knows if he's just staying here for a few years, or for life? This is a Beijing hukou! Who gets a Beijing hukou and wants to move back to their hometown? They'll definitely be stuck there for life!"

"Who said Qin Chang will be a deadbeat for life?" Qin Lin explained, holding back his anger. "Once he finishes his studies and graduates from school, he'll be assigned a job. Once he gets a job, his employer will take over his household registration."

"Forget it, he's just not cut out for studying." Feng Juan sneered, "I've been busy these past two days, and I've talked to him quite a bit. He doesn't want to continue studying at all. It's all just wishful thinking on your part."

Feng Juan rarely spoke to Qin Lin in a disobedient manner.

In Qin Lin's eyes, she has always been gentle and docile, like a small tree on the ground, fragrant but insignificant.

He didn't have any requirements for Feng Juan, even because of her "madness" for more than ten years. He just wanted Feng Juan to stay at home quietly and not cause trouble, so that he could concentrate on his work and not be distracted by thinking about the family.

When the docile little girl suddenly rebelled, Qin Lin's eyes widened in shock.

He stared at her as if he had never known her.

"You're trying to trick a child!"

"You are simply unreasonable!"

"I think you're being unreasonable!" Feng Juan retorted without hesitation: "You don't care about your own children, but you're so concerned about other people's children."

"What other people's children! This is my sister's grandson."

Qin Lin was so angry that he was shaking all over. He pointed at Feng Juan but couldn't say a word.

Just then, the cheers of children were heard outside.

Feng Juan walked to the window and saw that it was Yan Jingwan who came.

She raised her hand to wipe the moisture from the corners of her eyes, turned her head and said to Qin Lin, "Jing Wan is here, you better behave yourself. Don't embarrass yourself in front of your daughter-in-law."

Qin Lin said coldly: "It's none of your business."

This middle-aged couple, whose combined age is over ten years old, had the most fierce quarrel of their lives when they were getting old.

As they were talking, Yan Jingwan came in from outside holding the hands of two children.

She was a person with delicate emotions. As soon as she entered the door and glanced at the faces of her parents-in-law, she sensitively noticed that something was wrong between them.

However, the younger generation should not interfere in the affairs of the elders. Yan Jingwan pretended not to notice anything unusual, greeted the two of them with a smile, and then took the two children into the room.

As soon as Yan Jingwan left, Feng Juan immediately put on an apron and went back to the kitchen without even giving Qin Lin a glance.

Qin Lin felt very uncomfortable.

What happened to Feng Juan?

Why is something so wrong today?

Of course, no matter how hard Qin Lin thought, he would never have thought that it was his good daughter who instigated her mother to have a fight with him.

After a while, Qin Chang quietly walked from the yard into the living room.

He tiptoed up to Qin Lin, saw Qin Lin's frown, and nervously grabbed his trouser leg. He called him in a very low voice, "Uncle."

"Um?"

Qin Lin came to his senses, looked at him and asked, "What's wrong, Xiaochang?"

Qin Chang pursed his lips and was silent for a moment before saying, "Uncle, I was squatting under the window just now and heard everything you said."

After Qin Chang said this, Qin Lin fell silent.

He felt ashamed.

He is already old, but he still made a fool of himself in front of his children.

He has a dark face, and when he is gloomy, you can't tell what his emotions are.

He gritted his teeth and asked Qin Chang, "I'll listen to it. It just so happens that my uncle wanted to ask you, what do you think?"

"Your aunt said she talked to you a lot these past two days, and you said you didn't want to continue studying. Is that true?"

Qin Chang hesitated a bit, and glanced at Qin Lin's face with concern. Then he spoke hesitantly: "Well, then I'll tell you the truth, and please don't tell my grandma."

Qin Lin snorted, "Good boy, are you negotiating terms with your uncle?"

Qin Chang shrank his head and didn't dare to speak.

"Promising." Qin Lin rolled his eyes at him and said, "Tell me, I won't tell your grandma."

After receiving Qin Lin's approval, Qin Chang lowered his head and whispered what was in his heart: "Uncle, my cousin is right. I really am not cut out for studying."

"I don't want to continue studying."

"I want to join the army."
