Chapter 7 Rental
Yun Qiao rested for a while at home.
She was feeling weak and had been busy all day at noon, with sore waist and legs. She couldn't bear it anymore, so she lay down on the bed and fell asleep immediately.
When I opened my eyes again, I was woken up by stomachache.
Yun Qiao knew something was wrong as soon as he woke up. He hadn't eaten meat for a long time, and his weak stomach couldn't take it when he suddenly came into contact with meat.
Her stomach throbbed with pain, as if an invisible giant hand was tearing at her intestines. It wasn't until she went to the bathroom and had a massive bowel movement that she felt better. But within minutes, the pain returned. Yun Qiao's forehead was covered in sweat, and she had no choice but to run to the bathroom.
She had been planning to arrange renting a house after her nap, but she had a stomachache all afternoon and ended up doing nothing but running to the bathroom.
The pain finally subsided after my stomach was empty.
Yun Qiao didn't have the energy to make dinner, so he boiled a pot of hot water and made a bowl of nutritional powder. He drank it in a hurry and fell into a deep sleep.
Have a good night's sleep.
When Yun Qiao woke up early the next morning, his stomachache and legs were no longer sore. He stretched himself refreshed and after washing up, he found that there was nothing to eat at home, so he simply took the money and ticket and went out to have breakfast.
She changed to a state-owned restaurant, where breakfast included steamed dumplings and fried buns, as well as wontons, porridge, and noodles.
Because he had diarrhea all afternoon yesterday, Yun Qiao didn't dare to order meat buns the next day, fearing that his stomach couldn't adapt and he would have diarrhea again. He only spent two taels of food coupons and two taels of money to eat a bowl of egg and vegetable noodles.
After dinner, Yun Qiao passed by the grocery store, bought two taels of sugar, and went to the home of Aunt Chen, a lane cadre.
Aunt Chen lived in Building 5, next door to theirs. She had introduced the tenants in their previous life. In this life, Yun Qiao wanted to rent to that young couple, so Aunt Chen was the perfect choice.
There are many people living in Building 1, and the yard is quite messy, with all kinds of debris piled everywhere. If the stairs of the villa were not very wide, there would probably be no space to step.
The neighbors in the alley were all very familiar to each other. When Yun Qiao went up to Aunt Chen's house on the third floor, she was stopped and greeted by at least seven groups of people on the way up. Some wanted to rent her house, some wanted to introduce her to someone, and some just wanted to chat.
Many years later, in 1968, Yun Qiao was no longer familiar with his neighbors and just fooled them away.
By the time she finally got away and arrived at Aunt Chen's door, it was already ten minutes later.
There was a knock on the door, and it was Aunt Chen's little granddaughter who opened it. Yun Qiao asked, "Nannan, is your grandma home?"
The little girl replied, "Grandma went to the kitchen to wash the dishes."
Aunt Chen's house does not have a separate kitchen or bathroom. She cooks on a coal stove in the house, and washes dishes and brushes her teeth in the public water room and bathroom on this floor.
Yun Qiao nodded: "Oh, then she should be here soon, I'll wait for a while."
As soon as the words fell, Aunt Chen's loud voice came from behind: "Who's looking for me?"
Yun Qiao turned around and saw Aunt Chen holding a large aluminum pot with two handles, which contained freshly washed dishes. She smiled and said to her, "Aunt Chen, it's me, Yun Qiao."
"It's Yunqiao, why are you here?" Aunt Chen said as she walked into the house: "Please come in. Nannan, pour some water for your sister Yunqiao."
