Chapter 23 A quick kiss
"No need..." Yun Ran was about to refuse when there was a knock on the door.
Yun Ran was startled and quickly covered the receiver, then walked over and opened the door.
"I..." Before Li Ting could utter a word, Yun Ran quickly covered his mouth and raised his eyebrows in surprise.
"Ranran?" The voice from the phone came out, it was too close and could clearly reach Li Ting's ears.
His originally calm expression suddenly changed. Li Ting narrowed his eyes, grabbed Yun Ran's wrist, and pulled her into his arms with a clever move.
"Hmm..." Yun Ran lost her balance and frantically hugged Li Ting's neck. After struggling for a long time, she finally managed to sit steadily.
She glared at Li Ting, silently accusing him.
Gu He on the other end of the phone heard the soft cry and became anxious: "What's wrong, Ranran? Are you okay?"
"No, it's okay, I just bumped into him accidentally." Yun Ran dealt with it while warning Li Ting with his eyes not to do anything rash.
Li Ting's dark eyes seemed to be covered with a layer of frost. He put his arm around Yun Ran's waist and used his big hands to play with her body.
Yun Ran held the phone in one hand and used the other hand to try to stop Li Ting from doing anything in a somewhat awkward manner. There was a crack in her calm expression and she looked very angry.
The rare lively appearance made Li Ting's mood gradually improve.
He finally stopped making trouble, settled down, and held Yun Ran still.
Yun Ran breathed a sigh of relief and said to Gu He on the other end of the phone: "I'm at a friend's house today. I'll go to the company by myself later."
Gu He was surprised, and after a pause, he smiled again and said, "It doesn't matter. Which friend's house is it at? I'm already out, so it won't be a problem to take a detour."
"Really," Yun Ran said, "My friend is quite private and doesn't like strangers entering his private space. Besides, this place isn't far from the company, and I have my car with me, so it's very convenient for me to go there myself."
Having said that, Gu He finally stopped forcing himself and said with a hint of regret: "Well, I said I'd pick you up for breakfast, but it seems we'll have to wait a little longer."
Yun Ran said a few words to comfort her and hung up the phone.

Li Ting moved his lips as if he wanted to say something, but looking at Yun Ran's cold expression, he ultimately did not express his true thoughts.
He silently held Yun Ran's waist, and after a while asked, "When are we leaving?"
"……immediately."
Li Ting nodded, and suddenly lifted her neck and pressed her down, giving her a quick and light kiss on the corner of her mouth: "Come back soon."
Without waiting for her response, he released the arm that was fixed on her waist. After she stood up, he turned the wheelchair and went downstairs.

Yun Ran took a quick look and then looked away. She sorted out her confused thoughts, picked up her bag and went out.
I arrived at the Gu Building on time, and before I reached the office, Gu He came to greet me.
Yesterday's conversation in the coffee shop was considered a tacit reconciliation. Gu He's attitude was intimate and enthusiastic, and Yun Ran did not refuse.
