Fan Siwen escapes

Fan Siwen escapes

"What kind of punishment is this?" After saying this, Mo Yang finally realized what was going on.

"Have you ever imagined what the future world will be like?" the young man continued, extending the conversation.

You mean cyberpunk?

Mo Yang sneezed loudly upon hearing these words.

"What's wrong with you?" Fan Siwen asked, looking over at him.

"It's nothing, just an allergy."

"I think it's a good thing that the world is still running smoothly. If one day we lose the rule of the rulers and everything is handled by robots, then the most precious moments of life will be over."

"Fan Siwen just said that we can't be replaced," the young man reassured the girl.

"Imagine rows of cold, impersonal machines, uttering the coldest of words. They don't bother with pleasantries; they simply follow instructions. We seem to be on the path to freedom and liberation, but what comes after freedom? Souls without future or hope, indiscriminate slaughter at the slightest provocation. A gradual march towards disorder, increasing entropy, more and more land, beaches, sunshine, and landscapes being occupied by humans, individuals not organized or artificially divided, doing disorderly things. Do you really think this is good?"

Everyone was shocked by the girl's description; the imagery came to mind and seemed too real.

"You might be too pessimistic. The human world will continue to thrive. New buildings will be constructed much faster than ever before, and banking services will no longer be packed with people and waiting for appointments. Hospitals will operate one surgery after another without delaying any patient's treatment. There will be no more internally regulated medical insurance drugs; you'll just use whichever is best. All decisions will always be the optimal solution. Isn't that good? You think people will really be idle after they gain freedom? No, they just have more free time to choose to do even more freely. Do you understand that feeling of being unrestricted?"

Mo Yang seemed to be explaining a world completely opposite to the girl's perspective, as if giving her hope, and also as if giving himself hope.

This is the difference between people, Mo Yang sighed inwardly, "It is indeed huge."

She is not her, and she can never be her.

Looking at the naive girl in his eyes, Mo Yang realized that all his hopes and aspirations were merely expectations to her, not valuable assets worthy of being added to her list of future possibilities. They couldn't empathize with each other, and she wouldn't agree with any of his "excuses." Looking into her eyes, he saw not envy, but an endless, bottomless darkness.

Silence fell over the laboratory once again.

The interplay of cold and heat is enough to melt ice that has been frozen for a long time. If the ice does not change, it can only mean that the cold buried deep underground has been stranded for too long.

As night fell, Mo Yang gazed at a corner of the endless darkness at the top of the cave, where a wisp of fine sand trickled down and landed on the ground with a rustling sound.

"You want to leave here."

The sound it made was like a question, or like someone talking to themselves.

for a long time.

"Um."

A voice came from the opposite bed. The voice was clear and crisp, seemingly devoid of any emotion.

Mo Yang thought for a moment and then told the man the solution he had come up with that afternoon.

"If you can contact someone to pick you up, I can cover for you here."

A simple sentence conveyed all of Mo Yang's emotions.

He wanted to leave, so he set him free.

He didn't think anything when he said those words, but when the person quietly left, he felt as if he had lost something very important, staring at the empty bed.

Lost in thought.

Just as he had expected, there was a defense mechanism in place to prevent anyone from entering, but no mechanism to allow people to leave at any time.

Because of its unique location, even if people manage to get out, they may not be able to leave the desert alive.

So he asked Fan Siwen if anyone could meet him.

Fan Siwen nodded.

The cave was as quiet as a dead star in the dead of night.

Mo Yang held his phone, waiting for Fan Siwen to send him a message after they left, promising to deliver her the agreement.

And so I waited quietly all night.

No news of Fan Siwen has come.

Mo Yang's heart died again and again.

Perhaps he shouldn't have had any expectations of him in the first place. The Chen Lili on this storyline is not his Chen Lili, and Fan Siwen will not be his good brother Fan Siwen. He should know that.

He was the only good brother who could accompany him for many years.

Early morning, get up, eat breakfast, go to work.

It wasn't until everyone had gathered that they learned something—Fan Siwen had escaped.

The police officer reported the incident, and the higher-ups issued an arrest warrant. Everyone was on high alert. Only then did Mo Yang begin to truly worry about this person.

If he's smart, he'll flee abroad. But what if he's not so smart?

The people who were still trudging through the sand outside had been walking for a night and a morning.

What he never expected was that the network signal that worked inside the cave was completely useless outside.

By this time, he had been out of contact with his rescuer for almost 12 hours.

He regretted it the moment he came out of the cave.

This damn signal, why can't it get through?

Looking at the open space high in the distance, I kept wondering to myself, "Where is this place?"

Under the scorching sun, he didn't dare to say a word. He should have brought a bottle of water with him. How could he have been so careless?

If things continue like this, he will have already suffered heatstroke in the desert before he was even picked up.

With his coat draped over his head, he didn't want to take another step.

An inauspicious start.

His steps faltered, and he collapsed forward, dizzy.

When she woke up, Fan Siwen found herself lying in Li Shawen's plane.

"Hey, bro, you're awake."

"You've finally arrived."

"How about it? Praise my navigation skills!"

"You're awesome. Nothing more to say, you're awesome."

Why are you in such a hurry to find Yide Luxi?

As the pilot was speaking, the plane flew low over a steep slope, and Fan Siwen almost vomited upside down.

"There's an urgent matter."

Inside the cave, the group watched the surveillance video of Fan Siwen's entire escape, along with the officer. Amidst the swirling yellow sand, the little boy endlessly traversed the sand, until he collapsed and was eventually picked up by a helicopter that flew in from a distance.

Seeing him being rescued, Mo Yang felt a little better.

Perhaps it was someone who encouraged him to leave. But he never imagined that his escape would nearly cost him his life.

The officer reported that Fan Siwen's helicopter had been located and that he had been arrested from a distance on charges of desertion and leaking intelligence.

Mo Yang secretly sent a message to Fan Siwen to erase all information about the helicopter, and Fan Siwen executed the order immediately upon receiving it.

Throughout the day, the people in the experimental area were somewhat distracted.

No one knew why Fan Siwen was willing to risk his life to escape from here.

This doesn't make sense.

"We were chatting happily together just the day before."

"He wouldn't be going to buy that little robot, would he?"

"Anyway, I don't believe he's an undercover agent."

The young man was talking to himself. They usually argued fiercely, but when it came to the crucial moment, he still chose to believe him.

Mo Yang didn't say a word the whole time, and when asked, he said he didn't know.

This made Mo Yang wear a sour face throughout, even though everyone was on high alert about the matter.

You can't read a single emotion from him.

What was initially thought to be a minor escape incident turned into a foreign spy operation.

Fan Siwen was a little puzzled by the result.

But since he had already run away, he had no other choice but to focus on the task at hand.

He rushed to the laboratory where Yi Deluxi was, and the first thing he said when he opened the door was, "Why did you call me here in such a hurry?"

Upon seeing Fan Siwen, the man didn't waste any time with emotional preambles and went straight to the point: "Come and take a look at this."

Fan Siwen stared at the chat box exported by Yide Luxi for a long time, then deflated like a punctured balloon. "Is this the reason I'd rather die than escape? You could have messaged me." Fan Siwen's appearance at this moment was indescribable. Her entire face was flushed red, with a slight purple tinge, from not knowing whether to be angry or disappointed. Her legs were also slightly unsteady, and she looked like she could collapse at any moment.

"Information cannot be explained to you so intuitively. Look at this, this is clearly not a signal from our planet."

"What does this prove? Is this what they call something related to my mentor?" Fan Siwen looked completely out of sorts.

"This means that the source of this message is a blue planet in another time and space."

The words of the person in front of him briefly piqued Fan Siwen's interest. "You mean, is this a signal sent by someone from the past or the future?"

"right."

"That means... oh my god!"

Fan Siwen suddenly covered her mouth.

"And look here." Yi Delusi pointed out the converted text to Fan Siwen.

"What does it say?"

At this moment, all of Fan Siwen's curiosity was drawn to this short text.

“This is the real reason I called you back.” The person in the swivel chair looked at Fan Siwen and said this.

"Speak quickly, don't interrupt."

Fan Siwen stared intently at the screen, as if even a moment of distraction would be a waste of time.

The person in the swivel chair spun back to the computer screen.

"The words on this, after being converted to the same frequency using the same signal, translate to: 'My name is Fan Siwen, and I am looking for a man named Fan Siwen. I am him from the future.'"

"My God!"

Upon hearing this, Fan Siwen felt a chill run down his spine.

This person... the person who sent the message... it was actually myself!
