The immobilization spell wore off, and the little zombie beside Zhu Yi hopped and skipped into the Pink Lotus Gate with his family. After a small lotus flower mark was engraved on his forehead, he pulled his brother along and hopped out to play together.
He tugged at Wei Weiwei's clothes and chuckled, asking for more glutinous rice water.
Wei Weiwei's lips twitched: "You guys are going to switch to vegetarianism?"
The little zombie with dark blue, round faces nodded, indicating that this thing could still be eaten.
The three-tailed fox was in a dilemma; she liked Wei Weiwei but didn't quite like Zhu Yi.
After she came out of the Pink Lotus Gate, she stayed by Wei Weiwei's side, desperately trying to get Wei Weiwei to take her in.
"I'm still a little girl! I don't want to live with those zombies!" The three-tailed fox swung its fluffy tail and tried to negotiate with Wei Weiwei.
Wei Weiwei was in a bit of a dilemma.
This is, after all, a little ghost contracted by the junior sister. It wouldn't be good for her to steal it, would it?
Under the golden light, Xue Shan's bloodthirsty desire subsided, and her long black fingernails fell off on their own. Everything seemed to be developing in a positive direction.
Most of the little ghost souls still chose to reincarnate. The golden lotus gate closed, and they transformed into a golden lotus flower that floated onto the Brahma lamp, imprinting itself on the glass lampshade as a decorative pattern.
The pink lotus flower folded up and landed in Zhu Yi's palm, hidden behind her aquamarine jade bracelet, imprinted on Zhu Yi's wrist like a pink tattoo.
"We want food!" The zombie leader, dressed in a clean old man's robe, no longer dirty and even looking somewhat kind, led more than twenty male and female zombies of all sizes to Zhu Yi for food.
"Blood food?" Zhu Yi asked suspiciously. Now that they had signed a contract with her, as their master, she couldn't ignore them.
"The more the merrier!" The zombie leader's white hair seemed to be laughing, and the rows of zombies behind him echoed with chuckles.
Zhu Yi's head was spinning: "I can't possibly go and do something like murder and robbery, can I?"
Keeping a bunch of vampires around is a headache.
Suddenly, Zhu Yi's eyes lit up. The two little zombies were eating glutinous rice water so happily?
She asked Weiwei for a bowl of glutinous rice porridge and handed it to the zombie leader: "If the little ones can eat it, then the big ones can eat it too, right?"
"Tch!" The zombie leader took it with disdain, and Zhu Yi kindly forced the twenty-odd big guys to drink it down.
"Aren't you afraid of the glutinous rice? How can you drink it with such relish?"
The zombies rolled their eyes at her: "Drink a little every day to fight allergies. If you drink more, you won't be afraid!"
Zhu Yi was completely bewildered: What kind of creatures had she contracted with?
No evil spirit would choose the Red Lotus Dharma. The Red Lotus was put away and landed opposite the Golden Lotus, its image imprinted on the glass palace lantern, bright and beautiful.
Zhu Yi counted the twenty-six large zombies, put them into the Brahma Lamp, and amidst the cursing of the little blue-tailed merman, placed them in a corner of the glass palace lamp, threw in a pot of freshly cooked glutinous rice porridge, and told them to share if they didn't have enough.
She named the two little zombies "Brother Zombie" and "Little Brother Zombie," very common names. The two little guys followed Zhu Yi one after the other, looking quite cool.
"Hey! I don't want to be with you! I want to be with Weiwei!" The three-tailed fox appeared and tried to negotiate with Zhu Yi after she had almost finished dealing with everything.
Zhu Yi chuckled: "Weiwei, do you really like the little fox?"
Wei Weiwei was a little embarrassed. She scratched her head and said, "I don't know either. I just think she's very cute."
Zhu Yi waved his hand, grasping the three-tailed fox's little soul in his palm. With a snap of his fingers, the three-tailed fox disappeared from his hand.
“Weiwei, it’s not that I’m stingy, it’s just that it’s in the form of a soul, and its yin energy is too heavy. It’s unwilling to be reincarnated. It’s better to follow me to cultivate. I have a Brahma Lamp that can suppress it. If it follows you, it won’t be good for you.”
Zhu Yi patted Wei Weiwei's shoulder: "If you like fox spirit pets, we can contract one when we come across one."
"Okay, whatever you say!" Wei Weiwei looked relaxed. If she really took in the soul of a three-tailed fox, she really wouldn't know how to raise it.
Wei Weiwei's gaze fell on Xue Shan, a little troubled: "But with Sister Shan in this condition, can we go back to the sect without worry?"
Xue Shan's long arms and legs were stiff and had not yet regained their flexibility; she was only kept alive by the glutinous rice porridge cooked by Wei Weiwei.
"To cure the corpse poison, we need to grind the zombies' teeth into powder. This isn't difficult, but it takes time. I got some tooth powder from the zombie leader, but we don't have all the ingredients yet, so we can't make the antidote. We'll have to trouble Sister Shanshan!"
Xue Shan's eyes darkened, feeling somewhat uncomfortable. She could only continue her zombie-like hopping, keeping her distance from Zhu Yi and Wei Weiwei.
Wei Weiwei glanced at Xue Shan with sympathy and sighed silently. She wished Xue Shan could also refine pills and make medicine. She felt that she still knew too little.
Zhu Yi pulled out a map: "Let's take a look at the route. Maybe we can find some herbs in the later levels!"
The first level: Ghost Mountain.
"The map says that Ghost Mountain was originally an ordinary immortal mountain, but it was hidden in the cultivation world because of an unknown evil aura. We need to find a home for these ghosts and zombies..." Zhu Yi read and laughed. She felt so lucky that she had accidentally passed the first test!
"Junior Sister, is there a reward for clearing the level?" Wei Weiwei's brow twitched. Recalling the chaos just now, she couldn't help but wonder, wasn't there supposed to be a reward?
The three sisters and two little zombies walked together along the path into the woods ahead.
The two little zombies, acting as if Zhu Yi had never seen the world before, hopped over to a tree nest in the distance, rummaged around until only a branch remained, and led Zhu Yi inside.
Zhu Yi took out an exquisitely carved peach wood box from the tree branch. After carefully examining it and finding nothing wrong, she opened it and immediately burst into laughter.
"Junior Sister, why are you so happy?" Wei Weiwei asked curiously. She looked around and pulled out a small nest woven from vines from somewhere, inside which were two large eggs.
I can't tell what kind of eggs they are, but they were probably bird eggs that fell from the tree when the little zombies were digging at it.
"It's the Heart Sutra of Brahma Practice!" Zhu Yi pulled out a blue-covered booklet, her eyes practically glowing with greed, as if she wanted to keep it for herself: "Sisters, could you give me this manual first? It just so happens to teach me how to use the Brahma Lamp, so it's quite suitable."
Zhu Yi sounded a little guilty when she said this.
Xue Shan nodded excitedly, and Wei Weiwei smiled and said that she didn't need it, and agreed to leave the secret manual to Zhu Yi.
"Next time we find other treasures, I'll definitely share them with my two older sisters first!"
Xue Shan shook her head: "Well~" Right now, all I want is to collect the medicinal herbs as quickly as possible to cure the corpse poison.
Zhu Yi nodded solemnly: "Mhm."
Wei Weiwei was a little embarrassed, and holding the egg, she said to Zhu Yi, "Junior Sister, can I take this egg back and incubate it?"
"I don't think there's anything scary inside; they're both still warm!"
